  1. seen this in other cars, as long as the light goes out i should be ok
  2. Any have a part number for me?
  3. chris knot sorted me out for 2 years for my remapped cupra (225bhp)
  4. Its a cool guide as i used it and worked a treat for me
  5. Didnt the newer classics come with alloys? Most superbs ive seen have the solids or rs4 alloys. I prefer the solids and its been annoying ive not been able to pick any up:mad:
  6. i guess i should stick with the 55 series then. just thought the extra 5 will fill the arches by a bit. didnt want to lower the car as i dont want to comprimise the comfort ride. Also lowering costs mega bucks too. Elite is 15min drives from me so i will check them out. The michelins were gonna be from costcos as i have read they do the cheapest michelins.
  7. exactly what i am after for the last 3-4 months with no luck:eek:
  8. Looking to replace my tyres on my 2003 comfort. They have 205/55/16's. I assume 205/60/16 Michelin PRIMACYwill do fine? My annual milage is 5-6k. Was hoping to get hold of some second hand Solids however havent suceeded so thought might as well sort the tyres out at least at they are boarder line.
  9. its not really a sporty car though. must admit for the sport element, id always go for a octy vrs (remapped of course:rofl:) Superb just feels more of a cruising car. This isnt taking anything away from it though...
  10. was gonna go for it at one point however the fuel economy worried me as well as the amount of torque going through the front will drive;.
  11. my assumption was 62 inclusive of reserve. Depending on how you are driving when the warning light comes on it could range between 30 to 70 miles
  12. Motorway driving 500 to the 62ltr is 100% possible as thats how i am getting on at the moment. Local driving will drag this down to 300-320.
  13. Been told that a remap actually improves fual economy. Hows the overall improvements after the remap as i was considering it at one point however wasnt convinced it was worth while considering there is no traction control. does the petrol version actual benefit?
  14. vagcom is more detailed and allows you to make changes too. Ross-Tech: VAG-COM
  15. Octy's are better on some levels :rotz:however loose out when it comes down to interior space:rofl::rofl::P:P Superbs are execellent value for money. I had the leon cupra and loved it and was going to considering the octy vrs however the space was limited.
  16. Wasnt indending to offend you mate:rotz: However the thread has been taken over by octy users!
  17. you missed the point mate. Motorway driving will be the opitmum however i rarely do this. I dont have a heavy foot as the superb isnt a sports car. Sports people go for the octovia vrs.Its not rocket science:D
  18. Dude i know how to drive! Yes i have driven a 1.8T before. A Seat Leon Cupra to be precise for over 2.5 years. I rarely did any motor driving though. All local B roads and occassionaly A roads. Why have a turbo car and not use the turbo you ask? Well I used to persume that the turbo will consume additional fuel. Well i was wrong there,:rotz: thats only the case with superchargers. The optimum fuel economy i get is just under 3k revs at 72mph. On longer trips the trip computer states around 500miles to the full tank. Mix driving im getting 350 to the full tanks (majority local driving). So i guess getting a true reflection is difficult. I guess i need to drive up to scotland or something to get a true measurement.
  19. Good price and metal porpeller water pump
  20. Hi Guys I was wounding, there have been alot of discussions comparing Superbs with Passats. I noticed yesterday when I sat in a A6 that size wise its very similar to the Superb. In addition some of the internal components looked similar. What is the general view?
  21. Gizmo is spot on, check out UK Window Tints - Tinted window law
  22. Thanx the the details response mate. Any ideas what the part number is?
