  1. Hi Guys I know the correct gearbox oil is dependant on which year your gearbox is stamped underneath on the bell housing. Does anyone who has an 07 vRS know what part number they used for the oil? I cant get under my car at the minute as ive no ramps or axel stands TIA
  2. I normally fill mine up with £55 worth and can get 300 miles from it. I think they'll hold more like £65 worth of fuel so you should be seeing about 350ish miles to a full tank. That will normally last me about 10 days if im not in the mood to cain it all the time
  3. Is that a DV relocation on there? Which kit did you buy? My induction kit makes my car sound like a harmonica at certain RPM due to the air passing over the stock Diverter valve location. I really want to get it moved so it doesnt do it
  4. I baught the Jetex downpipe and the Jetex Catback from here, at the time i think i paid about £860 all in but that was a couple years ago http://www.candrenterprises.co.uk/shop/jetex-exhaust-system-skoda-06.html
  5. I did it in stages because the downpipe i recieved was for a golf so the shop had to install the catback to the standard downpipe while they waited for a 3" connector. The catback was still really quiet when it was fitted, it gave a more deeper note and it wasnt until you put your foot down that you could tell any difference in my opinion. Once the downpipe was fitted it came allive. louder on tick over and the note changed aswel. wasnt quite as deep but more meaty if that makes sense. The whole system isnt loud until you start to hit boost
  6. Sorry mate didnt get a chance to get a pic last night, however, this is what it looks like on the Mk2 ]
  7. Yeah i should be able to upload a piccy tonight for you
  8. Ive got the Jetex Turbo back exhaust for my car and it looks identical to the BSR one. It gives a nice sound and is prety quiet when your just pootling along. If your just going for the cat back and not the downpipe its even quiter, it just adds abit more bass to the exhaust note
  9. I had this problem with mine awhile ago. If you use your key to unlock/lock the drivers door it should start working again. Mine went out of sync for some reason. As soon as i manually locked the car with the key it started working again.
  10. I Absolutely love the look of these however, Not at that price. Does anyone know of a simillar design or ones that arent carbon fibre? http://www.superskoda.com/octavia-ii/front-bumpers/skoda-octavia-ii-rs-real-carbon-fibre-front-spoiler-set-ki-r I had thought about the possibility of adapting these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-E36-M-M3-GT-Front-Bumper-Chin-Spoiler-Lip-Lips-Chins-Sport-Valance-Splitter-/321113333950?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4ac3d8a0be#ht_3630wt_806&clk_rvr_id=653283110914&afsrc=1
  11. could be a failed coilpack or possibly multiple ones? I had an electrical clip snap on one of mine and as i went over a pop hole it was only firing on 3 cylinders, the car was shaking like mad and spluttering on
  12. I see Terraclean have released a new product. Im trying to see which garages/dealers do this in my area. No idea if it needs a different machine or not. Could save a few hundred quid instead of paying someone to manually clean the valves http://www.terraclean.net/product.php?id=16
  13. Does anyone know what wheels these are on the new Superb? I wonder if they would fit the Mk2 vRS. I love the look the of them
  14. Are you running any mods? If you have a performance intake or downpipe you will hear the turbo spool up
  15. Think this is normal, I've just had my thermostat replaced last week and now sometimes the fan comes on if i've been on a long run. Mine was stuck open so it wouldnt get upto temp properly so i never heard the fan running until recently
  16. You could try this if your feeling brave http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILVWPzO_swY
  17. The bonnet of mine is also peppered with stone chips. I baught a stone chip repair kit which has a little paint brush and a clear coat stick, but the colour doesnt seem to match anywhere near to the original paint despite it being a genuine kit.
  18. So what is needed to achieve this look. just a face lifted bumper and grill? Any Trimming involved
  19. I live 10 minutes drive away from Haydon Bridge and the road up to Hartside. In the summer me and a few mates go up there for a blast, its a brilliant road although there are lots of bikers who seem to have a death wish by overtaking on blind corners etc. The cafe at the top does some lush greasy spoon type food. I'd highly recommend the home made mince and potato pie with gravy and chips
  20. This thing looks Amazing, no idea if its real or a photoshop
  21. Wow 140K, What kind of issues have you encountered over this milage? Do you regularly change the Cam follower in the fuel pump?
  22. If your going stage 2+ in the future i would get an Induction kit personally. I baught a K&N Typhoon before i went to a stage 2 remap and the car fealt alot smoother. It also gives a nice sound when mashing the loud pedal. When i had the car remapped im sure it would have added a few extra HP. On their website they claim it can give an extra 18bhp but i think thats abit optomistic
  23. Hi guys I've got abit of strange problem. I've noticed that when i drive my temp gauge is only getting upto 85 degrees when it should be at 90. If i stop in traffic it slowly starts to climb up to 90 But, if i then move off it falls back to 85ish again. The heaters are still pumping out hot air so i'm abit baffled as to what it is, could my thermostat be broken? or is it likely to be the coolant temp sensor? Cheers
  24. I'm not wanting to light the blue touch paper or anything but thought you might need to read this http://www.dailymail.co.uk/money/cars/article-2562046/Diesel-cars-particulate-filter-removed-fail-MOT.html?ICO=most_read_module
  25. This happened on my car about 4 weeks ago. The garage replaced the ABS sensor but the ABS was kicking in when i was lightly braking. They said it was the ABS sensor ring which is in the hub so they ordered a new hub and the cost for whole job was £280 but i'd already paid £80 for the ABS sensor the previous week :(
