  2. I've got EBC green stuff pads in my PD 100 as we speak, and there brilliant! breaking noise doesn't really bother me at all just want them to look good and stop me quickly, but I dont want un even pad wear
  3. Hi there. Looking for some reviews on these brakes... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300340092335&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_2159wt_905 will they really reduce the breaking distant and will they be better than oem parts? will they or do they create uneven pad wearing? anyone anything to say about them at all? these will be run with standard pads to start off with then EBC green stuff if that's makes any difference. Cheers!
  4. Hi there. I was wondering if I was to fit the 288mm brakes from a fabia vrs, would 14" steel wheels fit? or would the disc be too big? Cheers. Motoract
  5. I did a trip to Newcastle not long ago not slip streaming and really not trying for MPG and I got 60.2 to the gallon average
  6. Hi there. buying some 14" 6" wide steel wheels and I'm going to fit winter tyres to them. what's the skinniest size I can fit on the wheels? thanks in advance. Motoract
  7. engine mount? I did consider it being the dog bone bush... but then why would it cure itself after changing the console bush's or the saddle bush's?
  8. The bush's were fitted by a VW specialist. I NEVER drive over speed bumps quickly because of the fact I know the bush's are Sh**e and because I'm not a idiot. & I'd defiantly say the suspension in my car is not soft lol. it's really quite harsh on the road. and yes I live in the country lots of pot holes etc but I am aware of them and I drive carefully over them.. yes it does it over speed bumps and any bumps on the road. when I changed the console bush's it was lovely! perfect, transformed the car, made me fall back in love with it. make me want to spend some serious money on it, but now, I'm back to the, just flog it, buy a golf mk5 and not have these problems lol. I'll check the drop links and the bush's replace them then after that if it does it again, she's going! thanks for your help. Motoract
  9. Hi there. really fed up with this now. I've replaced the front console bush's for ibiza cupra ones, which are ROCK solid which sorted the knocking for a bit, but it's come back tonight on the way home. my car seems to eat front anti roll bar saddle bush's for breakfast. So I think this might be the problem again, but with this rain, I cba to look right now... it's a 2002 PD100 polo and I've been told I should replace the farb for a later one because the later ones are better? is this a straight fit etc, and will it actually do any good? or does someone do a upgrade farb? sick to death of getting new bush's every other month, seriously considering selling the car because of this fault! running standard sport suspension on standard 16" wheels 205 45 16 toyo tyres. Someone help me for the sake of my sanity!!!! Cheers.
  10. is there any ride difference with these size tyres on compared to 205/45
  11. p.s you can't receive any more messages

  13. that'll be the front console bush's at a guess. common fault. either upgrade to seat cupra ones. or power flex do some. check there site or awesome-gti for both.
  14. I've got some vrs wheels, that 3 are in really good condition, one has some kurbing, but nothing a DIY refurb wouldn't sort.

and without tyres, I'll sell them for ?165 POSTED! - but since I've seen on the post you left a comment on the tyres are illegal anyways I dont think this will make a difference.

let me know what you think.

    cheers.

  15. anyone fancy making two video's of the sound of the car with the normal air filter in and then a video of the induction kit on? be interesting to hear as I'm desperate to get rid of the diesel sound in my car lol
  16. The wheels are 205/45/16's.... toyo TR1's but also the ride was the same on P zero's... so can't be cheap tyres but maybe the profile.... & yes I've been looking at those for handling, but I can't bring myself to spend that much that atm. atm I'm just looking to go low with maximum ride comfort!
  17. Hi There. So I've got a 9n TDI polo on sport suspension as standard, and the ride is really bouncy and trashes around and it's not as low as I'd like it to be. but I believe it's 25mm from standard. I first bought some cobra cheap 50mm lowering springs and put these on the original shocks. made it the perfect ride hight, but it was the most awful thing EVER to drive. here it is on the right sat on 50mm springs, note the car on the left is on hot tuning coilovers all the way down... so shows you how low it was!! also got a friend with a tdi polo on some cheap coilovers and that is bad for ride quality same hot tuning coilovers. but then I have a friend who's mk5 golf is on some Eibach springs and it's such a lovely ride! I'm looking for this ride hight! but does his car ride like this because it's a golf so IE better build quality? His car..... as you can see, i've tried lots of cars and options to try make this work, and a lot of friends! lol. So basicly I'm hoping that some Eibach springs are going to be my blessing....! I want to be lower yet I'd like to ride quality to get maybe better but I could cope with a bit worse! and I've been reading reviews about the Eibach springs actually being a better ride than the standard sports springs on the fabia VRS! can anyone back this up? & then the conflict in expectations of how low the springs will make the car... here they say 20mm - http://www.europerformance.co.uk/pages/products/product_info.mhtml?product=555575855 same part number 30mm (for my model) - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Polo-1-4TDi-1-9TDi-SDi-1-8V5-Eibach-Spring-Kit-08-02-22-/110416653624?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item19b5586d38#ht_1837wt_911 anyone help me at all? point me in the right direction!!!!!! cheers.
  18. Hi there. I'm looking to upgrade the Anti Roll Bar Saddle bush's on my PD100 Polo. this will be the second lot to go on the car, and really hate doing things twice so was hoping there was someone who did a upgrade for them? there 21mm's if that helps. I did search before posting this and got nothing at all. if anyone could help it would be much appreciated. cheers
  19. As the topic says. maybe someone should make a sticky on this? but I've been told from a member on here that the octavia 32mm's wont fit on the fabia vrs / polo chassis? why is this? Cheers.
  20. Would a VRS Forge FMIC fit a polo PD 100? Just a thought & scruffydubber You have PM!
