Are you sure they are 18s as mine has 19s fitted as standard equipment

Hi, has anyone carried out the centre exhaust silencer delete on there 272, I know the delete is available for the Golf R fitted with the OPF system but was wondering if it’s been done on the superb combi 4x4 and if so what’s the part no 👍

What’s the part no of the maxton rear roof spoiler extension please

Remove the glove box lid and surround the look up towards the heater box and you will see 2 silver coloured pipes coming in through the bulkhead area towards the heater box, check to see if they are touching and if they are slightly and gently part them or put something between them like a thin piece of rubber, as long as you have a gap it will be ok but don’t go mad as they can leak if parted to much 👍

Aircon pipes run the same side doesn’t matter if it’s left hand drive or right hand drive, easiest way is it’s the left hand side of the car 👍

My bet is Aircon pipes at the rear of the glovebox area, common fault with them as they are close together and vibrate on one another when accelerating, you can see them where they go to the heater box, gently ease them apart or put some rubber material between them

After recommendations for replacement shocks for my sportline 272 estate, ( no Dcc fitted, standard shocks) I don’t want to alter the ride height as I like the look of the car as it is but find it a bit bouncy especially when being driven enthusiastically, and was thinking of swapping the shocks but unsure as to what to go for, any thoughts would be great so thanks in advance

Can I aske where you got your jb4 from as I’m interested in one for my 272

I found the maxton which I’ve got fitted to my 272 to be very well made, it fits like a glove with no gaps and the quality is also very good, due to the latest sportline front bumper design it does follow the lines very well

They do fit as I’ve got one on mine, mines a 20 plate sportline, there’s absolutely no issues with it at all and fits like a dream. I’ll try and upload a photo later

Maxton definitely do a facelift front splitter

I work for a Skoda dealership and own a 272+ and let me just say it’s awesome, imo it’s far better than the 280, power delivery is better much more linear but if you use the loud pedal it it goes like mad, quicker than a vrs but with the refinement of a luxurious car

What aftermarket Haldex controller is available, very interested in one for my 272, I’ve looked at altering the controller via vag com but this isn’t possible and didn’t realise that a aftermarket option was available I do like the thought of going back to my youth and having some step out times. Secondary coolant pump is my guess, these pumps can run for some time after the engine has been switched off.

Superb sportline 272 I’m getting 38 to 40 mpg on a good run, just done a 200+ mile journey on the A1 at 70 mph 😉 and returned 38.4 mpg, which I think is very good for what it is

Unfortunately ŠKODA dealerships have a guideline to work too on shocks, if oil is leaking below the spring cup then they can be possibly changed under warranty, but if it’s above the spring cup the claim would get rejected, sounds strange but ŠKODA are insistent on it and the dealers hands are tied, even if you got a independent assessor out and he said yes they are leaking ŠKODA won’t pay if the oil leakage isn’t deemed to be in Skoda’s guidelines, also never heard of a 25000 mile service seems a strange interval for a service. Normally 10k on fixed or 18 to 20k on flexible intervals, obviously won’t affect the complaint though

What’s people thoughts on makes of replacement springs for a sportline estate, H+R, eibach etc, I realise the lowering figures these companies are stating are for standard Superb, so I know it’s possibly only going to lower a sportline by approx 15mm, if anyone has any photos of there sportline on lowering springs I would appreciate a photo or two. thanks in advance.
