  1. i use: meguirs gold class shampoo. meguirs clay bar kit (either the stock quick detailer or the meguirs NXT gen speed detailer for lub) autoglym super resin polish meguirs nxt gen 2.0 wax i highly rate all of the above. would also consider the autoglym HD wax as an option as ive seen and heard good things.

    Hi.

cheers lads! how does the DSG reliablity go with a remapped TDI? ive heard that its nearly on its limit with the stock torque of the cr tdi?

    Hi.

hey troops been stalking on here while researching for my next car. im set on a race blue FL octy vrs cr tdi. running a 1.9 cdti 150 sri vectra atm, with a remap. think the skodas a good move just gotta hold on to the vectra for a wee while before i change. then it will be a panel filter and jabba map.
  12. get SNP to ****!

  13. i like it! and like it even more as it will lower the price of a FL octavia II VRS when i go to buy one!
  14. cheers. that says the most torque currently paired with the DSG? well looks like i will need to track down a manual to be on the safe side.
  15. so thats a no the DSG cant handle torque as the CR 170 tdi is 350Nm standard? as superchips claim a gain of 59Nm which means torque is 409Nm / 301lbft so to chip the VRS i need a manual?
  16. yh. wasnt to sure because the new TT-Rs isnt available with a DSG as that has to much torque of 340ftlbs? thought a chipped octy tdi vrs would be not that far away from this.
  17. hey looking at a octy cr170 with a dsg box, but i know i will be chipping it not long after buying it. so i was wondering would the DSG be able to handle the large amount of torque that a chipped octy tdi would put on it? heard rumours of the DSG not being able to handle vast amounts of torque? is this true, is there anyone with a chipped tdi with dsg thats has experiance. regards Rab
  18. were would i get a panel filter for a octy vrs cr tdi?
  19. K&N panels are great. had them on 3 of my cars. the MAF sensor is an issue but you only need a light spray for it to work. i would actually consider using a pipercross cleaning kit as there dirt retention fluid is better. would bother with saying to the insurance, they wouldnt find it and its only a 2sec job to change. plus panels dont tend to void warrenties anyway so insurance wouldnt be an issue tbh.
  20. czechsmasher its true the alloy caps weld themselves onto the valve, aluminium and brass dont mix. stick with plastics maybe alloy ones if your goin to shows plus mate as you are from north ayrshire aswell (irvine for me) you will know shiney dust caps go missing within about 2 nights of fitting them to your car. especailly if they are on a lovely race blue vrs. as for the 12v supply just becareful on the size of cool box. those 12v sockets aint great for big items. burn out.
  21. think there is meant to be a good differance between the CR & PD in a few reviews ive read. so the DSG is a bit more gutsy than the manual?
  22. ok been on here a while and there is alot of talk about the CR VRS. whats the differance between a CR and a normal VRS? thanks
