  1. Car went in today. Battery drop test suggests it’s a bit degraded but still more than capable of doing the important things so will keep my £265 for now. Stop start isn’t essential. Thanks all
  2. Ok I see. That’s what garages are for, I’ll help oil the wheels of commerce - he’s a good and trusted mechanic I’ve used many times before. Cheers
  3. No idea. Going in garage this week for a check
  4. I’ve booked it into a garage for investigation but it actually started working again yesterday, typical. Out of interest what does the i ON/OFF option actually do in the attached photo ? The user manual is vague. Thanks.
  5. Wow ! No haven’t noticed that
  6. I turned the heater off entirely so as to remove as much load as poss. Running lights were on. And they may have been the cause of the radio reset ?
  7. Hi, As you can see from the photos there is no extra load. I don’t think I receive over the air updates - how would I know ? Loose battery - what does that mean ? I drove for 40 mins yesterday and it never activated.
  8. Hi guys. A few days ago some sort of reset took place on my Kodiaq infotainment system. All of my radio presets were wiped, the SOS thing went off, and since then the stop/start system will not kick in even when engine temp is sufficient and no other conv consumers active. Do I need to just be patient or might I have an issue ? Many thanks Ignore the seatbelt message, that was just while I took the photo.
  9. Hi guys. My battery is running low. Ideally I’d like to leave it till it’s properly dead but I suppose I risk being left in all sorts of trouble if that happens at the wrong time. I understand the doors can be unlocked with the pull out key but I assume there is no way to start the engine with Start/Stop system unless KESSY is operational ? Cheers Kodiaq 2018
  10. Hi guys, Any ideas how I can fix this without spending a fortune ? Don’t think superglue will hold it. https://share.icloud.com/photos/08aCfrod_YzvizGS6iXtFTM-Q Thanks, Nick
  11. Yeah I should have checked first. Anyway I have the download now
  12. Has anybody tried a factory reset to fix it ?
  13. Will this be good for my 2018 Kodiaq Bolero ?
  14. Hi @varooom - hope you’re well. I tried to message you but it said you can’t receive messages. I’d like to move forward with a software upgrade if you can help me please. Many thanks
  15. Is it Skoda’s responsibility to pay for the fix even if out of warranty?
  16. The electrics are still present, and I have the cap still. Thinking it's just bezel and mirror (and holding unit) that are needed.
  17. Hi all, Hoping you can help me work out how best (i.e. cheapest) way of replacing either the whole, or part of, my nearside wing mirror which, if you can believe this, was flown into yesterday by a duck ! Said duck is dead. We've only had the car a little while so don't really want to be spending loads. Is there a second hand parts/scrap market online somewhere that might keep the part cost down, and then I get a trusted garage near me to fix ? Will look into insurance too. What's the ballpark cost for going brand new, and fitted by a Skoda dealer ? Thanks in advance 🙂 It's a 2018 model. I couldn't work out how to insert the photos in the stream of the post, sorry. 18. Ok I see. I guess I’m expecting a bit much from a car company - they’re not Microsoft after all 😀. Cheers again.
  19. Seems it’s fixed in 2022 models, hopefully they’ll issue this to older models asap, it was clearly wrong.
  20. Hi Varoom, I’m using a 2022 courtesy car at the moment and I notice that Skoda have fixed the confusing display of the mute/unmute button that appears on my 2018, see thread and pic below. Do you know if this is also fixed in the software update we were discussing above ? Thanks, Nick. https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/464853-phone-mute-function-is-reversed/
  21. I’ll leave it for a bit and see how I get on. Only just got the car. Thanks for your help, appreciate it
  22. Is it worth me bothering ?
  23. Thanks again varooom, here you go…
  24. Many thanks varoom. So why don’t Skoda provide updates then ?! Argh. Is it possible for me to get the latest ? Where do they come from ? Cheers again.
