  1. What made you change? It's a little different to the Fabia isn't it! :P
  2. Your engine bay is fancy!!! I've just got black plastic in mine. :( Are you keeping the wheels stock buddy?
  3. I think flaps in general help visually ground the car a little. Are they much to buy from the dealer? I've seen some better valued ones on eBay for £14.99 a set and free delivery from China/ Hong Kong!
  4. Hmm it was raining today, and opened fine. It was the first time I opened it today though. I also guess it doesn't help when the car is parked on a sloped driveway sometimes. Guess that's the only real thing that's bugged me. Itll do. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't just mine.
  5. I've got continentals on mine, I know their not the quietest tyres around. But I'm still impressed on how refined it is. Only thing that's a little annoying is when you wash it too often the door seals need a bit of tyre gel on them to stop them from creaking. I think the car shampoo dries them out ever so slightly.
  6. You sound happy! Glad its living up to its name for you.
  7. Finally a meteor grey Monte and combi!!! Great choice mate, i love the battle ship grey, always liked it when they had the mk1 TT in a similar colour. Looked really nice kinda semi industrial with class i guess?! Happy motoring.
  8. Congratulations:) Someone else who had an Insignia complimented my Twindoor the other day. He was really impressed. I like how the superb doesn't look overweight like the current cars out there. Have fun!
  9. I've got the v6 4x4, and with speeds over 160kph driving on smooth roads you don't notice much difference other than the scenery going past faster. little wind noise, and tyre noise. I agree it probably could be better but its not something you can't do yourself to improve it if your really unhappy with it. It's well weighted and planted at speeds, very relaxed too no matter what speeds your driving on. The TDI 170 2wd I drove before getting the v6 was surprisingly quiet and refined on rough roads. It definitely feels stable and reassuring at speeds in the Super B 4x4. I'm sure they had Bentley engineers working on the car when they were testing the prototypes of the mk2 Superb.
  10. I never knew you could hold the key longer and the mirrors fold!? This makes me happy. I do agree it would be good to see them open and close at the same time as locking and unlocking.
  11. I also wonder if theres a limit on how many times you can open the boot, I open and close it several times a day. I thought it was spring loaded on the boot? But yes, when it's cold it would pop open ever so slightly, it's surprising with just even a small amount of water stops the boot from popping open though as quickly on a dry summers day!?
  12. I've noticed on some days that the auto open from the key doesn't always open as quick as I'd like. I remember when I first got it the boot popped open quite quickly for me to chuck my stuff in. Now it sometimes pops open and needs a little help to fully open, other days it'll open fine! has anyone else had this problem before?
  13. He had Superb lowering springs on his vRS? It's a big car for sure! Seems to handle pretty well though, I chuck it around sometimes and compared to the RS I used to have it's pretty damn good.
  14. This is a great effort. I seen this , and a couple of other youtube videos on the v6 before I went and bought my 3.6. Did you use a Go Pro camera to film this?
  15. Wow they do hold their value?!
  16. Sorry, I didn't make it very clear, I meant the standard springs! Oh yeah, I see what you mean. Is yours 4x4? Haven't got a clue who make the air suspension, it's another world to me.
  17. That's pretty smart! Not sure how reliable air is on a daily runner though! Maybe an email to Skoda cz. Are they made by eibach?
  18. It would be nice to know if Skoda do a genuine lowering kit for the Superb. The v6 would sit much nicer on the road, not that it handles badly but I think a few mm drop would look great.
  19. Mmm good drink. 7.4% cider...glug glug glug!

No then, lol. Thatchers Katy is a single variety cider that's about the same strength. If you like a medium sweet cider give it a go. best served very cold.

  20. I know, we used to have one! :P I remember it well! For what it was, I was pretty impressed with my little Fabia 2.0, until I wrote it off! :(
  21. They look spot on mate, get some more photos up!! Must think about getting some ordered for the Super B. :P
