  1. How much do you want for the wheels? Can't see a price? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Thanks a lot much appreciated! I only need the aux to be honest, would do perfect. Let's hope the aux one works with an 06 facelift with the CD! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Also interested! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Hello all, Silly question, I am after a connects2 for my Fabia (an aux one) but every kit I see only lists up to 2005, and the rest for 05 onwards are for the mk2. I have the symphony with the CD player, would this still work if I bought the pre2005 kit? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Evening all! does anyone know why aftermarket xenon headlights have rocketed in price? Typical when I want some they are near enough £400 for a set! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Anyone know this car? Wondered if anyone on here knew it or had it! Cheers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. 90 quid, or my head through the windscreen, i know what i prefer. As said above, if you get from a scrappers, the p/tensioners could allready be fired, or could be damaged. I thought the general rule was if you have a crash, the seatbell must be replaced? [offtopic, i know] Jamie
  8. Still, it'd be a better idea to work at the cheaper scale of things, instead of throwing 30 quid at a coil (unsure of a temp sensor price, my fiesta cost me 28 quid ;|), might as well try plugs, leads, pack, then temp sensor Jamie
  9. Last question, can't you get something similar to that from the octy? Thanks Jamie
  10. As i thought, did a little search and that was the general consensus, but dont know how that got into a review Thanks again Jamie
  11. Heya again guys Right, instead of making a new thread to ask these questions I thought I'd just add to this thread. I was going through reviews of the VRS, and stumbled across this: Now, is that CD player/Satnav/whatever it is, standard? Or is it an option? I've looked at a fair number of VRS', and haven't seen that in any of them. Any help is appreciated Thanks Jamie
  12. Hey mate I haven't started lookign yet, as I havent deffo got the money, but when I do, ill defoo look for help Thank you Jamie
  13. So, it just turns the "sensitivity" down? Wow, im suprised people have put up with my dumbness
  14. Okok i can SAFELY say, i understand it now. Going to thank everyones post in a second! So ASR is the only thing that can be turned off? Which reduces power to the wheels when detecting wheel spin? Jamie
  15. Ahhh i see, thank you! So its pratically, a way of controlling the car.. Where as ASR just controls the wheel traction. So if u get ESP as an option, u get ASR as a "sub component" Confusing stuff, least to me =P Jamie
  16. This is confusing stuff, so could you help me? So ASR is a "subpart" of ESP? So you can get ASR as an option, and if u get ESP, ur pratically getting both? Jamie
  17. So both can be turned off? Now i understand it, thank you! Jamie
  18. Well, could of been a lot worse! Least you and the car are allright I think even im going to go over and ahve a look at west coast  Jamie
  19. Ohhhh now im a tad confused! Can you turn ASR off? I know theres a switch for ESP somewhere Jamie
  20. I see, what is ASR tho? I think ESP was for wheelspins. What else does the LSD help with? Tried a few sites but cant get it in. Too me it just seems like if one wheel has "slipped" then power is spread to both wheels equally, so helps in snow etc?
  21. Yeah, reading Jase's topic just clarified that for me, thank you! Yeah, I did think it was quite rubbish being in friends Ibiza!, but thanks Jamie
  22. Ahh god.. do the Octy ones come from Skoda pre-painted? Yeah am just going to keep my eyes peeled! Thinking about it, your right. It pratically aids cornering. Thanks for that buddy, thats another post im thanking you for :P! I did try wiki, and howstuffworks, but was far to in depth Jamie
  23. Yeah, im not a "newb" for forums normally, im members with a variety of owners clubs, but the search function is allways too "vague", and picks up everything with "special" and "edition" in it, so doesn't help Thats what i was thinking, end of the day, green is green!, would of just been easier to get octy ones, if not TT it is. Where did u get ur TT calipers? I saw some from an Octy on ebay for 100 pound both sides, including the carriers! Ahh thats his name, I did wonder, i've been searching the last half an hour trying to find his name, now i know who you mean.. durrrr . Ill have a ponder through there. I have another question, earlier someone said: Unsure on what LSD's actually do, can you gimem a hand? Do they completlly "cure wheelspins", thats my understanding of it, and this is quite far out of my "mechanical knowledge" Thank you Jamie
  24. Hey there I have tried searching, but i couldn't find the awnsers to all my questions, and everytime i looked i swear i got a different awnser everytime!, so i thought i might just ask everything in a big bunch, i appreciate not being flamed . Ah, i try to be polite, proves it DOES get you some where . I thought so, because i "like" the green calipers, and getting them from an Octy would keep that, and save spraying =p. Didnnt know the LCR's brakes would fit actually, well didnt think about it. They would be a worthwhile upgrade, if purely for the looks! =P ! Thats what i was wondering, I wasn't sure if they was a "big" difference insizes on the back. A friend of mine has an Ibiza FR remapped, hybrid turbo etc with 244 BHP and 330 lb/ft of torque, we had a track day a little while ago, and he was "heavy" on the brakes, and came back with smokign rear brakes. Wasn't sure if it was worthwhile upgrading the backs because of this, or just get better discs and pads. Thanks for your help, its muchly appreciated Jamie
