  3. Hi, From our perspective as a broker, we always recommend talking to your current insurance provider. We have a number of insurance companies on our books and each one would look at this differently. Some would not allow this at all, but the main insurer we use for the Briskoda scheme would simply have us note down when the change of wheels and tyres takes place (no problem if the wheels are different so long as the size is the same). They don't charge either. So it's a mixed bag and therefore definitely worth questioning your insurance provide directly. Hope you manage to get things sorted, and enjoy your new car 🙂 Simon

Bonus can often be mirrored if a particular vehicle doesn't have any bonus and some might be suitable for a classic policy where bonus is not required.   13. Hi @cheezemonkhai the GAP product we have access to must be purchased within 100days of taking ownership of the vehicle. The GAP policy we sell is for 3years cover only. There are other provider (online etc) who will offer 4years cover and maybe more.

  15. Hi, Generally speaking, you can't insure something that you don't own. With that in mind it would be best to see if more drivers can be added to the current policy, temporary or otherwise.   23. Hi, I agree with Dan, and we don't have any Insurers who offer a zero excess. We also find that a number of people get caught out by the whole voluntary excess side of things. It is not unusual for us to see that the compulsory excess has been missed when we are verifying best quote details. As long as you are aware (it sounds like you are) that both voluntary and compulsory excesses can exist, and you check these amounts, you should be ok.   24. Our advice would be to contact your insurance company to notify them of the incident. If you have details of the third party Insurer (the Insurer your company use) then pass those details on. Your insurer should be able to take care of the rest for you. If the incident is settled as a non-fault incident then it will not impact your no Claims Bonus.
  25. Hi Matthew, Insurance for younger drivers is not something we specialise in, however, we do have a small number of Insurers who will allow young drivers to be named on your policy. The other alternative (which it looks like you have already explored) would be to go to someone like we are Marmalade who have a range of options for younger drivers. This is a good short term solution for his needs and likely to be the most cost effective. As soon as possible (and affordable!) the best option is for your son to have a policy in his name (some Insurers will insist that the vehicle is registered in his name) so that he is able to build his own no claims bonus. Once he has a couple of years under his belt along with experience driving on the roads, we would then be able to take a look at providing him with a quotation. Hope that helps.
