  1. Yes my nut caps are also faded badly. Dealer is replacing them for me, which is great.
  2. Looks terrible indeed, especially on a car so new. will have sort myself I guess and not an issue addressed by warranty.
  3. Is it common for this to happen on a 2 year old car? All four wheels are showing a lot of rust on the wheel hubs and brake callipers (if that’s what they’re called). Already getting the wheel nut caps replaced as their faded really badly. Wife’s year older Fabia doesn’t exhibit this and none of my previous cars ever did at this age. cheers
  4. Yeah, noise insulation would be used less than in the equivelent VW I'm sure.
  5. 🤷🏼‍♂️Er, like a noise that gets irritating? A drone. A constant thrum that needs not be there.
  6. I want it to sound less tiresome as I said… 🤷🏼‍♂️
  7. LOL - thanks guys... will just turn up the music
  8. Quick Q... is the exhaust sound tuned in the Sportline to sound more sporty? I heard that the VRS pumps a synthetic exhaust noise into the cabin to enhance its sportiness too. I do find the engine / exhaust noise a little tiresome around town (its not so bad when cruising) so wondered if this was a normal 2.0 TDI noise or if Skoda have fiddled and made it sound sportier? If so, can it be 'un-fiddled' to make it quieter? if not fiddled with by Skoda, any ideas on muting the noise? Cheers
  9. Many thanks @technics100
  10. Might be a different setup in the Kodiaq? Dunno. I find I have to intervene using the paddles a lot around town or on twisty or hilly B roads as its hardly ever in the right gear or doesnt want to drop down as I've stopped accelerating. When the engine stops using the stop start system at a junction, I'll tug the steering wheel a little to fire up the engine again so there is less delay when needing to pull out quickly.
  11. Whats a pedal box? not hear dof that. Been looking at the power boost chips but for me the 190 is quick enough (its not a sports car after all), just i find modulating the accelerator not easy after driving LR's for 25 years. The Kodiaq peddle feels very stiff and its a challenge to find the right point to get accelrartion in gear without having it drop a gear and lurch off.
  12. i'm on iOS also and i would always pull to refresh in the app. Old habit from using Land Rover Remote app - needed to be poked to get accurate info. Parking location also never shows in the mySkoda app until I pull to refresh. One thing that seesm veryu broken right now is the vehicle health. I request a report and I get an email, but the app always shows an error if I refresh the screen. The web based mySkoda always shows me the latest vehicle health and the history of requets. I would assume the app is just a shell UI and pulls info from the web, so something has becone disconnected somewhere.
  13. Petrol only, happy I bought a diesel. Thanks for highlighting this Yogi-Bear 👍
  14. Thanks so much guys for your help. Car now updated to ECE2022, took about 20 mins to copy across and install from the USB port.
  15. Car now recognises the map update on my USB stick. Currently at 70% and progressing 👍🏼
  16. ah right. shame they don't have the VW app anymore. I drove Land Rovers for 25 years and their app was very clunky and the dpwnloads were horrendous, but always seemed to work fine from USB drive. Have inn theory cleaned my USB with CleanMyDrive2 so fingers crossed it works. Used Unarchiver One to unzip the download without any errors so hopefully its ok. The macOS unarchiver errored out each time.
  17. Thanks Tell, Yogi-Bear also recommended these free apps so have now downloaded them from the AppStore and will give them a go.
  18. Thanks again Yogi-Bear, appreiate the insight. Will see how I get on with it. Its more lower speed stuff where its noticeable. On the move the 2L TDI is a nippy thing for overtakes. Gear chnages with the paddles are good too
  19. My pre loved MY20 seems reluctant to go (you have to push quite hard on the accelerator) and likes to hold gears too long (even when in D and not Sport) and releasing pressure on the peddle doesn’t cause it to change up a gear like in most autos I’ve driven. it also seems to never be in the right gear when slowing down and cornering. is this normal? Would resetting the DSG help it learn my driving style? Seen a few videos on how to do it as well as posts saying not to as it will damage the gearbox - though I can’t see how it would as it’s just learning gear change patterns.
  20. Tried both on a FAT32 formatted USB stick and the system spends a while checkign the USB then says there is no data on it. I'm using the USB port in the centre console where you plug the phone in to charge and use CarPlay. Do I need to buy an SD card and try those slots in the glove box? The Columbus system shows SD/USB as options so assume the USB port should work. Thanks
  21. Thanks for that. Have downloaded both so will try the 2022 one and see if it works.
  22. Many thanks, found utility that works, Unarchiver One. Couldn't find Keka on the App Store. Will seek out Blue Harvest. do I need both downoads or just the one?
  23. Using the map portal and entering my VIN I am offered two download options. ECE 2021/2022 and ECE 2022 Do I download both? ECE 2022 won’t unpack and errors out. ECE 2021/2022 does I pack but the car says it’s the wrong format. I’m using a Mac, FAT32 formatted 64GB USB stick. Current map version in photo:
  24. Thanks Keeney. Managed to sort it. I get a short list of options. Also no second screen of widgets as my Kodiaq is a couple years old.
