Nothing that special, regular washing, stained bits in the corners done with a toothbrush and autoglym wheel cleaner then washed again. Sometimes just use a car polish/wax to finish them off

My Dad was just saying that he drove in Sweden in the early 60s (in an Austin A40 Farina) when they still drove on the left side of the road the same as the UK, however, the majority of cars there were actually left hand drive! Most of the roads he drove on were gravel roads and when cars were passing, the driver would place a hand against the inside of the windscreen. The idea was that if a stone was thrown up and hit the screen, your hand would help dampen the impact and help prevent the screen from shattering.

This sounds like a great adventure If I can add any advice it would be to make sure you have a good supply of high-strength pre-mixed windscreen wash in your Yeti (suitable for fan jets of course, maybe the Skoda/VW brand). I used to work in southern Sweden, Oerkelljunga; once travelling across to Norway and northwards to Bergen and although the fuel filling stations would have windscreen wash by the pallet load, I always found it handy to have pre-mixed fluid in the car. Please post photos

Ah, but, the early Skoda cars were Right Hand Drive, Czechoslovkia was RHD before it was annexed by the then German powers. I have to agree though, it would be nice if we drove on the right side of the road, same as the rest of Europe.

If you get a large bucket full of inch lengths of string, well then you can tie them together and get whatever length you need.

The bully would've gotten the strap when I was at school, shock and awe; - changed days, 'progress'.
