  1. I too, absolute love the radar unit as it makes me feel a lot better knowing something is approaching when I can't look round. Just picked up a rear varia light off Evans with no box or mounts (can use the existing mounts) for £32 posted! You might wonder why I need this! The radar is great but a light unit for when I go to my local race track (mallory park) for winter cycling means I don't have to fiddle with the radar settings.
  2. Depends really, I have the Garmin 1000 which I had off a site for around £200 as it was an ex demo unit. The lights I also had on the cheap from Ebay. Front varia was £75 second hand and the radar unit on the rear was also second hand at £80 so not too much compared to other makes at full price.
  3. I also run these and can't speak highly enough of them. Just the right amount of light where and when you need it.
  4. I'd go with the simple needed stuff like a bottle and holder or a camelbak hydration pack. As its later in the year, I would be looking for a rear mudguard and then some decent padded shorts or leggings and some warmer clothing for when the temps start to drop. A good waterproof jacket is always a good one to have as they also wipe clean as are a pair of waterproof socks.

  6. Agreed, looks more like it's been put in to lock the sprocket and overtightened and sheared off. No way that head would still be in the sprocket after 2 years of use.
  7. Can only comment from experience but I'd go with shark. Had a Fabia vrs, Volvo C30 and Volvo v60 mapped with them and they've been fine. My best mate had his wife's fiesta tdci mapped with them and his current Volvo C30, again both fine. It only takes one person to have a bad experience to give a bad review and damage an otherwise decent companies rep. I get that they had problems........ But in the thousands of cars they work on etc, it's definately more good than bad.
  8. I had a similar issue like this with a parrot kit. Needed to turn the volume up on the iPhone!
  9. Blimey, you don't hang around do you! What's the time frame for this to be fitted and running?
  10. How come it has an adjuster on the passenger side Infront of the inside handle?
  11. Well, I for one am glad you came back as I really enjoyed your thread on the skodas, alpha and general tinkering! Look forward to some more of the same with the next instalment!
  12. Item cost 23.99 Postage was free Return postage for me 96p Refunded 20.00 So they have charged 3.99 for free postage I might add that I posted the item back in the same envelope as it came in, in the same exact way. The envelope was even already used when it got to me....
  13. They haven't stated a restocking fee and they clearly state any returns for any reason will be fully refunded. In this instance it hasn't.
  14. Got no issue with the return postage being paid for by me. Can you honestly say that I owe postage for an item that is advertised with free postage? What about my rights to be fully reimbursed for what I paid?
  15. If you bought something for £24 which was the cost of the item and was advertised with free postage, then sent it back as a non wanted item, how much would you expect to be refunded?
  16. Wonder if these seats started life in DanGums car then went into mine till I wrote it off. The seats were then put into a car in Grantham who got them from the scrapper where my car went?
  17. Looks nice and clean. Get that tyre blown up though!
  18. The blade is held in with a long thin metal clip, knock it out with a hammer and small screw driver. Or split the key and replace the blade and swivel part. Or do you have a non flip key?
  19. That's the problem with forums, people maybe misread posts and add a tone of their own to the replies. Either way, I really do hope you get it sorted but I'd be kicking off to get everything I could out of them, it's simple negligence on their part imho. Good luck.
  20. Right, OK...... Hutchy, I meant no offence but it read as though you didn't care about some busted bits that you paid for in brand new condition. Even if they polish up, I'd still be massively pis5ed if my car was actually worse than when it went in and having paid money for the pleasure. Sepulchrave, wind your neck back in you southern fairy. Jamie, I get you but paying money for a job and having damaged parts? Not as important? Might aswell take all your money out the bank and burn it.
  21. A bit of a shame you don't really care about the parts etc. Bit of an idiotic way to be really...... Spend loads of cash on lovely things and treat them like they're worth nothing...... No offence meant by the way, just an observation.
  22. Yeah I agree with the time and expense bit, but if you spend your hard earned on a pi55 poor job then you'd be an idiot to not want to go after the cash and get it done properly.
  23. As already stated by others, it shouldn't need bedding in or needed bleeding again. I trust you have suitable photos and receipts for the parts plus the same for the damaged items? I'd be going back, showing them the evidence of their negligence and giving them 1 chance to put it all right at their expense. Threaten them with trading standards and give them 1 chance to correct it, whilst going to trading standards to work out a way forward should they refuse.
  24. Anyway........ It's a 1.4litre engine on a 2001 plate and is Multi Point Injection (Mpi) As to how good it is depends on many factors. It's all depends on opinion really and what you personally think about it. If it has plenty of service history and drives nicely then it's a good car. If it's breaking down all the time, is rusty and is generally a turd then it's not good. Either way it's what you have and I doubt you would have bought it if it wasn't good?
