  1. MKIV R32s are 334mm MKV R32s are 345mm (and will never fit a fabia) Broadly speaking 312mm brakes came on any mk4 based car with more than 150bhp standard (excluding the Leon Cupra R & R32). This includes the V5 170 and AUQ engined 1.8T (also used in the Anni) There was never a standard mk4 tdi with 170bhp - the most powerful was the ARL engined 150bhp version (with 288mm front brakes or 312mm for the anni diesel)
  2. I was merely commenting on the fact that your car has been flashed with software that doesn't match your ecu. As shark explained, this is what is causing your fault code. Hardly an A1 service from the tuner involved is it....
  3. Pollen filter? Could alway get some larger silica gel packets and keep in car...
  4. adds to the theory that for every 10bhp extra you gain 0.1secs on a qtr mile* *clearly subject to various other factors though
  5. I'm sure that this will still show a warning light for Ross :( On the plus side, you'll be fine
  6. Anyone know if this would fit a mkv golf gti? If it does, I'll take it
  7. Have you removed the little orange clip thingy??? Without removing this, it will sit noticeably higher on one side. Jason's lifter is a top piece of kit and I've never heard a complaint yet...
  8. When's it going in Ross? I assume that it won't be ready for Saturday then? :(
  9. I've seen pics of a mkiv golf with the 334mm R32 fronts wearing TT 6 spokes. it'll look tight, but I'm sure that with some careful offset choices to clear the caliper, the R32 brakes will fit behind 17s. If the slightly larger (345mm) mkv R32 setup will fit behind my standard 17" Monzas, then it must be possible on a Fabia
  10. Tony, I would be very happy to support any business that offers an excellent service, provides products at a reasonable price and those products arrive when they promised. This is something that I know I will receive from the likes of W8 Performance & DPM, and (sadly based on my own experience) not from various other suppliers. To me, it's not always about the bottom line when there is added value involved cheers Gareth
  11. Purchased WALK a couple of weeks back, otherwise, i'd have bitten your hand off... Could be worth mentioning on a certain mk5 golf gti forum, along with any HPFPs you still have available.... GLWS Rob
  12. I feel the point is relevant as the OP has ask about the power output of the md376. Some people claim that you cannot get more than 200 (ish) bhp and this could influence a decision to go hybrid - if you're only looking at a 20bhp increase over a vRS with remap, TBE, pd160 etc, it raises the question as to whether it's actually worth the extra outlay. IMO the difference between hybrid and non hybrid is night and day - my vRS could not keep anywhere near to Ross' 'low power' hybrid running a standard clutch. Even my mk5 gti (RR'd twice at 250bhp+) struggles to get passed. I just want to stress to the OP that imo a hybrid pd is more than the paper '20bhp' increase. It's like a mapped vRS on steroids, and allows the humble Fabia to stick with cars that it really shouldn't be able to. I'd suggest that he keeps his standard turbo and when the time comes to sell up, he can recoup some of his costs by selling the hybrid on. Just beware the slippery slope - you will stress other components, and these may well need upgrading in the future. As Jase always recommends, the SMF and helix is probably the best off the shelf item available.
  13. When? - can't recall this being on the same day. I'm fully aware that AmD have had some 'odd' results in recent years, but Luke's car ran straight after a standard car - same day, same conditions, same dyno. Even if AmD were to tweak the dyno for a better result, I really can't see the point in them enhancing another tuners work - they've had no involvement in Luke's engine work at all....
  14. I'm sure that's another pop at Luke's figures. His car gets RR'd at 240bhp literally straight after a standard vRS ran 132bhp on AmD's rollers - what more can the guy do??? Also, this was on a day when some of the Octy owners were moaning of low readings and my remapped Fabia ran 166bhp, having run 180bhp on other RRs. We're going to JKM in a couple of weeks time with the mk5 boys, so we'll see how a couple of hybrid Fabias do on a Dyno Dynamics RR then
  15. I'd imagine that insurance companies would rape him for the next 5 years if he went down that route...
  16. cheers for the offer, but you're a bit of a trek away from me. And without wanting sounding too much like xa0sx, I CBA to post them due to being mega busy at work for the forthcoming weeks... If I've still get them when I next do my drive up to see the outlaws in east yorkshire, i'll drop you a pm
  17. Will the haters believe that you're still running a standard clutch & DMF.....on a hybrid!!! One of the highlights of the day was you beating that Supra TT Another was the dude pushing his (standard) CTR in the queue for the strip (to prevent it overheating) before posting 15.5 second times for each of his 3 runs - what a pro!
