  1. I'd suggest having a quick chat to Traiding Standards - I'm hoping that the dealer will resolve the problem, but by accpeting the "repair" you may be limiting your rights to reject the car in the future. I had a car problem a few years ago and Trading Standards provided some good guidance and a template letter to give to the car dealer.
  2. After 18 months of phone contract, I'm being hassled by Carphone Warehouse to upgrade my Sony C905 to a new phone. (p.s tip to get then to hang up on you - ask them to prove they are from Carphone Warehouse for your security!) But I dont want to change the phone until i know what will or wont work on the Columbus System in a Yeti. Has anybody got an upto date list of test phones as the list in the brochure is 12 months out of date? If not, has anybody tried an Sony Experia X10 or HTC Desire? So emailed Skoda UK - they were very unhelpful and suggested I try the dealer who may know. I get the impression that Customer Satisfaction isnt a Skoda strong point - very sorry to see all the sunroof problems. Had similar problems waiting for the first gen freelander softops - ended up waiting about 7 months for it in the end. I've ended up buying a yeti car model on ebay while I wait for mine to turn up... Thanks Rog

    Quick Delivery

My 170ps Muscovado Elegance Yeti may be sharing the boat with yours! I ordered it 8 weeks ago without too many extras either (TPM and Sat Nav).

    Roof Bars

I've gone for the 127's myself, but I'm sure I've also seen a Thule page saying the 120's fit too. Unfortunately the bars (869 Aerobars), bike racks and 1/2 width box have arrived before the Yeti :-( however the 775 foot pack is common between the Yeti and my Scout - so I've made use of them.
  5. After 8 weeks of waiting, had a call from my dealer saying my Yeti will be hatching next week :-) Can I assume its going to take about 3-4 weeks to work its way across europe and into the UK?? 170 BHP Elegance Muscovado Sat Nav Park Assist TPM Mud flaps Decretive rear bumper protector Mats Has anybody gone for the Skoda Coat Hanger accessory (DMR009001) ??

    Skoda Dealers

I'm currently waiting the delivery of my 3rd Skoda and I'm just wondering how members of this forum get on with their dealers? When I purchased my first Octavia I was stood in the showroom for nearly 45 minutes before I got asked if they could help. My wife was all for walking out and buying something else they were that bad. The Scout experience 2 years ago was somewhat better, it only took 10 minutes to get a sales person to take notice that I wanted to order something from them Before ordering my Yeti, the dealer was helpful - but since then I feel that I'm talking to a black hole, with emails and return phone calls being ignored. I will add that their servicing department has been first class (not that I've needed anything other than servicing), so its just the sales section that almost seem that they cant be bothered. Is this the norm or just this one in Oxfordshire? Roger
  7. Looks Bronze to me ;-) Though I note that the Skoda paperwork at the dealer calls it brown.
  8. You've got a lot of choices for a motor! The Octavia / Scout is great for a family of 4 - but very tight in the back for a 4 year old in car seat, a 12 year old and an adult. Though it does have a huge boot which you'll need for the push chair / changing mats etc.. My wife used to drive a Picasso which did everything, big boot, plenty of seat space and cruised the motorways with ease (2.0 Diesel) and reliable! As an option for the Yeti you could get some Thule aero roof rails and a 360 litre half width roof box, so when you do run out of interior space - you've got the "loft extension" to use.. Also depend on your engine choice - I've got a 170BHP Elegance on order. Good Luck and Congratulations!! Rog
  9. I've found some stainless steel plates on ebay for 60 quid which stick in the door sills to protect them. Got sticky tape on the back so you dont need to drill anything. My Scout came with something similar when I purchased it - so wanted the same on my new Yeti.
  10. Ordered a 170BHP Yeti Elegance 3 weeks ago and finally got round to joining this forum. Dealers estimating delivery in about another 8 weeks :-( Yes its a long time, but I waited 6 months for my 1.8 Freelander when they first shipped. Having been looking out since December for other Yeti's, I saw my first one today in Oxfordshire. I'd love to know where you are all hiding as my dealer sold 3 on the day I bought mine!
