  1. Just contacted my dealer to be told that 8 weeks after order my 140ps Muscovado Elegance Yeti is on the boat and I'll have it next week. While I'm very pleased with this it doesn't seem to tie up with the prolonged delays that others are experiencing. Could be because I went for a standard model. then again once I get it I'm sure I will wish I had ordered some other bits!
  2. Ordered mine (Muscovado Elegance 140 4x4) 22 March, rang dealer today, its in build and he expects another 4-5weeks
  3. Its a 140 tdi 4x4 in Elegance trim. Couldn't decide on any other options so didn't choose any, but I'll probably get the internal bike rack and have a towbar fitted. I hope it is cheaper to run than the Jag - regular service is £300-400 every year, brakes are £350 for rears (just done) and tyres are £180 each!
  4. Have ordered my Yeti after trying: Tiguan, bit like a tank and noisy, Freelander, both my wife and I felt sick in this - had a very strange ride, 3008 nice to drive, a bit bland and some very odd design features
  5. First one I've seen in Muscovado other then looking at the colour in the brochure or the dealer's sample. Looks really good and, as i've got one in this colour on order, I'm delighted too!

    Yeti Towbars

Thanks for the help guys. Sounds like getting the local towbar company in is not an option. I only want it for occasional towing of a light trailer anyway. Think I'll pass up on this and keep my Yeti untouched (when it comes!)

    Yeti Towbars

I have a Yeti on order and would like to fit a towbar. Has anyone any experience of getting a third party towbar fitted - Skoda's towbars seem very expensive with some 'prep' at the build stage and then the fitting by the dealer
  8. Hi, just found the forum and joined - looks a lively one. After 4 years cruising motorways in a trusty Jag S-type I have changed career and now find myself down farm tracks and out in the country. Cue search for small 4wd, tried Freelander (made me feel sick) Tiguan (noisy and like sitting in a tank) 3008 (funny design, odd shapes all over the place) couldn't face trying the X1 and at last Hallelujah! a Yeti. Comfortable easy to see out, nice to drive, not too big and really versatile. So now I am waiting for my Muscovado monster to arrive - 4 weeks so far and counting, looks like it should be another 5-6 weeks from recent posts. The dealer has offered me rock bottom for the Jag so I'll probably try it privately in a couple of weeks. I'll be in the market for bike racks, towbars, etc etc, but thought I would just get the Yeti first then work out what I need from there.
