Dodgy has a point and so do you. Modern cars run can bus protocol. Once all electronic sub components such as motors, abs,ecu,acc, lane assist etc....are added together in the car it is usually software that causes problems for the complete system. Which are usually ironed out on mules or pre production models. The sub supply of abs (or acc for instance)components undergo development tests with the manufacturer and supplying company - this in turn creates the spec and more importantly tolerances for their supply to VAG group - I know that VW tests batches for tolerance before accepting and fitting to cars. I think Skoda are short cutting somewhere in this process creating issues downstream in their efforts to push cars thro production - also the human factor -fitting new parts in a new model has to be trained correctly and installed exactly each time. Feel free to disagree with my opinion (Sorry for it being a bit long) but us automotive production engineers do go on! Mine with no options should be here in 3 weeks as in UK already. 12 weeks. privacy shades, not available for mk3 yet. Had them on a 2006 mini. Great as can simply be taken out in a moment, bout 100--120 quid were the rear set for the mk2

ordered mine end of July, now in uk awaiting distribution so about 12 weeks. Mk2 vrs hatch took 24 weeks. So for me an improvement and the knowledge (generally) of white and blue estates being build before hatches. my own opinion but... Skoda best watch out and fight their corner against VW, if word gets out there would be reason to go to another group manufacturer. At least this demand created however intentional is making Skoda more desirable/residuals justifying future increased prices

exhaust hits body maybe? Go on get under it and get dirty, never go under modern cars like the old uns.

great pics by the czech guy, noticed rear heated seats button on rear console with air vent? heated rear seats as well would have been worth the leather costs. Part of leather pack or winter pack?

Ordered end of August, already built so early November delivery. THe Skoda guy at Goodwood did say estates built first with spare right hand drive capacity. Also with so many sunroof/ ACC issues the 'standard' cars without these options are getting bumped up of course. Looking forward to VRs Estate diesel, candy white with black pack and gemini wheels. The old red MKII has just gone to the big ex company car auctions with 110,000 miles of very enjoyable trouble free motoring. .

my new candy white estate rolled off the line last week.....3 to go.. I'm up for meet for all us 'early' build cars.

Octavia VRS II, 90K, = 46mpg average per month, company car driving.

This time of year on cold mornings (under 5 C), over the 5 speed humps out of my housing estate I get the same noise. Seems to be the suspension strut bushes when cold make a noise, on the return journey back after being driven for an hour or more they are a lot quieter..if noticeable at all. 93K on this car. Same happened to A3 had with similar mileage and got em changed. This is the third car to get this problem....darn speed humps.

I had the same question, hatch all the way for me. I put two cars side by side and you'll see there really is no benefit to estate except the flat loading area. Unless you need the extra bit over and above the hatch (maybe fit an 80 litre bergen rucksack in the extra space, nothing more). I like the look of hatch especially the spoiler - old school.

Had my new VRS bout a week now. Bolero great - With generic Class 6, 2Gig SD card with 10 albums on. These were just dragged and dropped onto stick as individual album folders (with tracks in that folder) Starts to play music 2--3 seconds after inserted.

The new Foglight positioned (LED) DRL on Fabia VRS - would they be a straight swap onto a New Octavia VRS. This would look good , I'm assuming some wiring issues would need to be over come but.......

Bigger Asdas are selling Mobil 1 part and full synth for petrol/diesel 4litres for £15.00.... Pretty good oil thats ofter overlooked in favour of Castrol Edge.

I have expected delivery this week - told delay of 2 weeks, but on boat now they say!!!!! I believe it when I see it!!! I guess in 2 weeks they will say another week, got me by the balls really......
