Octavia iV Estate - no power - red blinking break lights
It’s a regular issue that Skoda don’t seem to be able to resolve. my car was at the dealer for a week this week (for the second time in 8 weeks) and the parting comment was they they know there is an issue they just don’t know what it is!!! starting to talk to customer service about rejecting the car

Octavia iV Estate - flat 12v battery

How small is the 12v battery on the iv?
That’s interesting as I had that yesterday morning. problem is, if you leave it a couple of days you could come out with a flat battery

Octavia IV back at the dealer
Car has gone in for the second time. first time not charging and even after Skoda assist came out it would not charge. got it to the dealer and no fault found. cleared all error messages and been fine for 6 weeks. Wednesday car went completely flat. Skoda assist came out, charged 12v battery and even hv battery started charging. this morning 12v battery error. told dealership don’t bother phoning until you have found a fault as I won’t take the car back until then

Charging error
I took fuse three out, but the car was so flat it wouldn’t do anything after that anyway. waiting for Skoda assist to come and tow the car tomorrow as I refuse to drive it to the dealership

Charging error
Hi, have you had any resolution yet. my car has just started the same error process. Need to get the car to the dealer, but have to wait until Saturday as it is 40 miles away!

Locking pin for EV cable will not engage followed by complete 12v battery failure.
Correct. they didn’t even know why it had been brought on, they just did diagnostics. that cleared the issue. been ok for three weeks now

Charging error
They just cleared all the error messages

How small is the 12v battery on the iv?
Been sitting this morning with the ignition on listening to the radio for about 35 minutes and a message has come up that the 12v battery is low. thought it would be using the main battery that still has over 50% charge. does the battery in the iv have a lower capacity

Charging error
I had this issue a couple of weeks ago. ended up having the car towed to the dealer. they test the fault codes and app was fine. Only found out when I was there that thry are no longer making the Octavia IV

Got the car towed to the dealer on Monday. they called yesterday and said all faults cleared. I asked if we’re charging and they didn’t not know as Skoda assist had not told them all the issues. they charged the car this morning and all fine. went to the dealership and made sure that they used my cable to test the charge again and all fine. car is now home and charging fine They did say that there is a fix that Skoda have sent out to do with a seal around the chager that might need re-seating, but also that they do get a lot of cars that have software glitches (They did try and blame my dashcam but that gets powered off when ignition is off)

Massive shortage of Hi-Voltage dealerships.
Just on my way to collect the car. all error messages cleared and then the car started charging. hope it was just a glitch and not parts needed

Correct

Massive shortage of Hi-Voltage dealerships.
Hi, I wish I would have known this before I bought my car..... On Friday I had the issue of not being able to charge the car. Called Skoda Assist, and they guy came out, ran the diagnostics and said it needed to go to the dealership for repair. I have Citygate Watford 6 miles from me, but they are not an HV garage. Nearest one is actually Alan Day in Finchley North London - They are on stop with Skoda Assist as they have too many vehicles. Here is where it gets interesting. I was told I could take it 8 miles away to a battery centre (willis in Ruislip) even though they could not do the work. They were not happy about accepting the car, and I did not get a chance to take it to them over the weekend. This morning the car was completely flat, called Skoda Assist, same guy came out and said that I needed to take it to Citygate Brentford. When I contacted them, they said that they were now also on stop and the earliest I could take the car to them was August.... So, after a bit of calm conversation (!!) Skoda Assist have now towed the car 33 miles away to Slough. The reason I needed it to be towed was to ensure that the car is looked at within 72 hours. If you can drive it there, then there is no timeframe given. Also, if you get it towed, Skoda assist will provide a hire car, but if you drive it, it is the dealers responsibility to provide a car. The key for me is that however much people want to support electric cars, Skoda are not geared up to maintain them, I dont know how long the repair actually takes, but I dont expect to see my car anytime before middle of next week (especially with Easter at the weekend)

Active Lighting - High Beam Assist: Activation
I ordered it and have not been to the dealer

Locking pin for EV cable will not engage followed by complete 12v battery failure.
My car now wont charge. 3 months old, 2500 miles. Got Skoda assist out and at first they thought it was a pin in the charging socket, but after running diagnostics they have now said needs to go to the dealer. That would be a great idea, but there are only 2 Hi Voltage dealers inside the M25, and one is on stop. Looks like I am now going to be driving on petrol for the next 6-8 weeks until it can go into a dealer!

Auto light assistant
I got the trial of that and traffic sign recognition. Only got high beam assist today but it is very useful. Pay for it, and then it will download straight away

I don’t have electric seats

SE L with no extras
Hi, just wondering if my car is supposed to have the adjustable mirror when I go into reverse. tried to programme it but nothing happens so wonder if it is anoptokn (2023 iv SE L) Thanks

Unable to order traffic sign recognition
The saga continues. Skoda have now arranged for my car to be booked in and have arranged car hire for THREE days!!! this morning I have looked online and low and behold, I have managed to buy it. It is still showing as pending, but I knew all along it had to be software and did not need a dealership visit. now to see if Skoda will give it to me as a freebie for the hours we have spent back and forth

Using PHEV as a hybrid only - mpg
My key was to have a more economical car than my 1.0 petrol juke (which it is) be automatic (which it is) and make my driving within London (20mph) zone easier - as driving a combustion engine, even with stop start - is a nightmare as cars are not built for that speed!! oh, and I paid the same as a 1.5 petrol

Using PHEV as a hybrid only - mpg
I have had mine since the new year. i charge all the time and have been using it mainly On battery which to be honest with a single kwph standard rate it is almost the same price as petrol. thursdy and Friday I did a trip from London to Leeds and return. Full tank of fuel and full battery to start. charged in the car park overnight (£6.50) and at the end of the 420 miles I put £46 of petrol in. car was showing 59mpg which i am really happy with as that is around the same as a diesel. running as purely hybrid I would be happy with 45/50. have you played around with the battery status as you can get the car to charge the battery i charge using a standard plug as it’s not worth getting a normal charger.
