  1. Look in display/screen preferences/settings and look for a mirror displays option.
  2. It's a 4 pot, it's never going to be vocal from the front end. Here, treat yourself: https://www.doorsuperstore.co.uk/product/masons-timber-1981mm-x-533mm-individual-white-painted-pine-open-louvre-door.html?gclid=Cj0KCQjw-r71BRDuARIsAB7i_QP-jCE19cVeK7-0o6WZQUIoFPR67M_VZSz2n4zFpyqKW_vko_pKa64aAuatEALw_wcB
  3. To the right of your steering wheel you have a cubby. Now follow that downwards into the footwell and you should see the pinky purple OBD port, immediately to the right of the footwell light. Might be worth just kneeling down outside the car with the door open, you should be able to spot it fairly quickly.
  4. Perfect, thanks. I have some Maxton rear side skirts inbound. I'll order some Tiger seal to fit. I really didn't want to drill into the bumpers as I think it's overkill for the size/weight of the trim.
  5. Thanks. Is there any need to spread the bead across the fixing area beforehand or just let it spread under pressure, as you offer the trim up? I’m guessing less is best?
  6. Looks good. Lufly colour on your Sportline too For smaller trim pieces, such as rear side skirt extensions (that run from rear arches back) would you say that Tiger seal would hold without needing to drill/screw into the bumper?
  7. Have you suffered with over heating then?
  8. There is no TPMS sensor in the wheels. The (indirect) TPMS uses the ABS sensor to measure the rotational speed of the wheel, any change of speed is deemed to have been caused by a drop in tyre pressure.
  9. Gorilla glue. I glued mine in the first few weeks and it's not budged since.
  10. I came across this graph showing the difference between Superpro's 22mm rear sway bar in both positions Vs. the stock, hollow OEM bar:
  11. @cronemeister this is one of the better detailing guides I've seen online. Nice concise info/steps/stages and some solid product recommendations: https://www.vwroc.com/forums/topic/12873-becs-guide-to-detailing/ The number one piece of advice I would offer you regardless of doing a smaller 'maintenance' wash or a full multi-hour detail is; before you go near the car with a wash mitt or similar, you need to remove as much surface dirt and decontamination as possible, with as little friction as you can. No matter how good/careful you are, you will always introduce some level of micro damage to the paint but the more you can minimise that damage the better your results will be and the easier it is to achieve a nice finish. HTH P.S I always snow foam a 'dry car' and it's always the first stage of cleaning the body work for me. Any other decontamination/washing is done after the snow foam because of the reason I gave above 😀
  12. My ARB (and possibly the springs) are destined for the Golf 😃 The only things I'm doing with the Superb for now are keeping it clean and keeping the battery ticking over. I have a box of parts and mods ready for the R and another few bits and bobs in the pipeline. Lockdown is a stark reminder that life is too short! Do you think that there would be much difference between a 22mm bar on it's harder setting and a 24mm bar on it's softer setting?
  13. Great combo. Just bought myself a new bottle of the 06-04 and some fresh green pads for my next detailing session. I also got myself a 3" backing plate for the DAS6 so I can use 4" HL pads on the bumpers and more fiddly bits. Also a good shout on the Bilt Hamber products. I've pretty much settled on Bilt Hamber for all my pre-wash, decon and wash products now. So easy to use, safe on any part of the car and good value too. Little things like their Auto clay working only with water (though I do add a little QD spray too) makes a difference when you do a big car and don't need to buy 1-2 bottles of dedicated clay luber. If you haven't tried it already... the BH Cleanser Polish works very well with a DAS6 and white HL pad. I tried some on our brilliant silver Fabia and the paint was very slick and clean afterwards. Topped it off with some Double Speed Wax and it's been the best combo I've found for that paint. Lots of shine and flake pop. Much better than the Carlack and Finishkare combo I tried previously.
  14. I"m also interested to know if the Eibach's (or similar) spring rate works any differently with the dampening of the DCC system vs the traditional, passive system.
  15. Ever so slightly off-topic: Bloody typical! The minute I commit to changing the Superb is when it becomes interesting with other owners making tasteful mods to improve some of (the very few) negatives about the Superb. Ride and handling, in this case. Good job a lot of the mods/upgrades are applicable to/available for my next car and should give me even more of a knowledge pool to dive in to. Another benefit of the MQB architecture. Great stuff 👍
  16. Looking forward to hearing your findings. Especially twinned with that Eibach kit. 😀
  17. Nice work @newbie69 👏🏻 Some great info, thanks! I’ve got the Eibach pro kit on its way along with a 22mm Powerflex ARB and after your findings twinned with some info from other research I think I will first try an ARB before committing to changing the springs. Now I’m still unsure however if the 22mm is the better choice vs the 24mm. I know there will be an improvement over stock regardless as the 22mm Powerflex is solid rather than hollow, like stock but I’m just not sure if the 22mm will be more predictable and less likely to catch me out vs the 24mm
  18. If you hit the rev limiter and come of the gas pedal completely and then quickly bury it again, does it then bypass the limiter ??? It used to be the case with the RS6 and RS7 (possibly other fast Audi's). Though Audi still charged handsomely to have the restrictions removed, as part of a performance pack or similar.
  19. I had one fitted to a 150TDI Sportline, same as yours 😊. IIRC Bluespark ship it with what they deem to be the best setting but recommend you change things to find something that suits you/your car. I played with the various settings over a few weeks and settled on C7, from memory. I think C5 was what was shipped with. On the Bluespark you have a jumper which covers 5 positions, A-E and a dial which covers 0-9. The letters refer to the power delivery and the number is the intensity. Bluespark described it to me as listening to music "The letter is the track and the number is the volume". I was actually pleased with the results. With regards to engine warranty, I would be amazed if any tuning box company would provide any practical technical or financial support should your engine go bang after fitting one of their products.(Burger Motor Sport would be an exception from what I hear) There's likely something buried deep within the T&C's that states you need to provide evidence the box was to blame. Hence why I'd try to get something more commonly used but more importantly with a good reputation.
  20. ...or for something completely different....Volvo V60 Polestar. Great car but the interior is a little dated and not the biggest of estates but it's very comfy and quality is superb. They changed to a 2.0T in '17 (ish) so the running costs aren't too bad and it gained some BHP too. (and IMO 'Rebel Blue' looks amazing!) I desperately wanted one a couple of years ago but my local Volvo dealer refused to budge on the woeful p/x price he offered for my car. Ended up in a 280 Superb. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/202003058059510?aggregatedTrim=Polestar&sort=relevance&make=VOLVO&radius=1500&postcode=ts148ha&model=V60&onesearchad=New&onesearchad=Nearly New&onesearchad=Used&advertising-location=at_cars&page=2
  21. Passat BiTDI 240PS is worth a look. I test drove one and was mightily impressed. Plenty of space, proven mechanicals and a nice interior. Golf R estate. Deceptively big boot, IIRC more volume than the A6 avant. Basically anything made by VW group, in an estate body, with Haldex and fitted with an EA888 engine should be fast and big enough and return >30MPG. e.g SEAT Leon Cupra ST, Skoda Superb 280.
  22. Looks awesome @Adaminski, some subtle badge changes make a real difference 👏 One of the nicest looking Sportlines I've seen 👍 Any plans to go full 'stormtrooper' with some black wheels?
  23. Hmmm, there's an amazing similarity between the products, pricing, terminology and website design of both Racechip and tuningbox.com. Too much of a similarity. I'll go out on a limb.... Same company. Same sub-standard products*. Same terrible reputation. Same very poor customer services. I would also take any 'engine warranty' claims with a large pinch of rock (boulder) salt, regardless of geo. Take a look at Bluespark tuning boxes and save yourself the hassle and a few £00's. Some nice gains for relatively not much money and a noticeable improvement over stock, once you find a setting you're happy with. I used one for over a year with no adverse effects, not even an EML. Plenty of happy users on BMW forums too (I mention this because OBD port tuning isn't possible/easy/cheap on some BMW models, so owners often use tuning boxes for performance gains; so the BMW forums are good place to find some real world reviews on the various boxes/brands on the market) *it seems they can't get the tuning boxes 'right' but I've had two of their pedal boxes and they've been great. Seems to be a common theme for Racechip.
