The standard spare is also a 16" but slightly narrower than your winter ones.
Don't buy one of the ultra narrow space savers are they are not approved for the Yeti, and could invalidate your insurance if used.
You really need the whole kit with side storage boxes, different boot floor jack etc. The wheel will only lie flat into the recess in the boot floor, but requires a new floor level with the rear door sill. Fitting one with all the extras removes the option to have a large flat load area with the seats out.
But adds the option to have a large flat load area with the seats in 🙂
It's just not as high

Whilst I'm enjoying driving my Superb, it's only a car whilst my Yeti was one of the family

Just noticed in the latest DVLA SOM auction announcement both
90 OOO
FOX 805S
which may have suited a couple of Briskodans that haven't been about for a while

You need to zoom in a bit more @Gyp

I've just had a quick look at the attached PDF and believe it or not, it should be okay.

Except...
The British Standard for number plates
The British Standard sets out the characteristics of the number plate. This includes visibility, strength and reflectivity. To meet the British Standard, each number plate must be permanently and legibly marked with the:
• British Standard number (currently BS AU 145d)
• name, trademark or other way of identifying the manufacturer or supplier
• name and postcode of the supplying outlet.
And I can't see that however much I zoom

as langers2k says, there isn't one, however it's not too big a job to run a DAB cable in the headlining to the near side A-pillar then down under that into the back of the dash.
Using a cable access kit (set of rods - screwfix sell them) will help.
Don't forget, depending on what you're attaching to the VW antenna, the DAB antenna needs 12V power. I had the Alpine EZ-DAB in my Yeti which was brilliant piece of kit, but only had a 9V powered output

Probably only of interest to me, but i was overtaken by 51 GYP today

New summer gloves..... that explains why it’s now raining.
I bought a Triumph armoured mesh jacket at the weekend. That's also reason for the rain and change in temperature.
Of course it's hot today, but that's because the Scottoiler is off for warranty work so the bike's off the road (simply because I have tubes hanging off it, not that I won't ride without the Scottoiler)

I saw PAS 7Y appropriately spaced with a Saint Piran's Flag on the plate yesterday 🙂

as thebrighton says the fittings are different. i looked into this a while back as I wanted to fit the phone holder and USB to our earlier car in place of the PID
Whilst the hole in the dash is the same shape, the mount/interface is different with the clip holes in slightly different places (so i couldn't even plug the phone holder in and use it as a dumb holder).
Because the interface in the dash is different, that - complete with cable to the head unit would have to be replaced along with - I suspect - the head unit itself.
At that point, I've no idea if the head unit would interface correctly with the car to show mileage/fuel level etc
If you do get a newer Citigo, I'd suggest sticking a garmin Driveluxe 50 or similar in the phone holder and powering that from the USB. Should work a treat

Thanks for your prompt response.
My local Triumph dealer installed a V-System for me on my Sprint GT SE and it was fine, however they now have a policy not to fit any items not sourced from Triumph so I figured that either the X-System or the Fully Electronic System should be less invasive options, I get what you say about the pricing however oiling chains is a pain in the backside.
I fitted it with the Scorpion and I'm less convinced by that. It looked like a neater solution than the standard fitting, but it actually looks as if it will make wheel removal/refitting and chain adjustment harder. It also doesn't mount particularly well with the curved section swingarm on the Scrambler.
But it's on now.

Fitted some luggage so when I say I'm going for a ride and the missus says "while you're out, can you please pick up...", i don't have to wheel it back into the garage and get the keys to the Superb
OK, it might look wide but it's narrower than my BMW F650 single with factory panniers!

What do you think about the Scottoiler X-System was thinking about this for my Tiger 800 as the Scottoiler V-System isn't recommended?!
only had it on a couple of days but initial impressions are good. Quicker and easier to fit than the V-system and, realistically easier to transfer from bike to bike at a later date.
My understanding is that the reason the V-systems aren't recommended by Triumph is that some people messed up the install and got air leaks on the vacuum tubes. Of course, if you do it properly and don't mess up the vacuum tubes then it shouldn't be a problem.
The X-system is pretty darned expensive though; I got a pre owned one from eBay but not much saving

It's not dissimilar in that it has push down lever with a red locking latch to the side, but the main difference is that the yeti ones clamp to pins on the inside of the rails rather than wrapping round them

Very rarely use my 12v socket for powering things but do use it for plugging the trickle charger into.
I've got a Ctek charging point with led charge level indications for that
4 hours ago, CWARD said:It’s not all about power with bikes but what you get out of them.
Indeed. It has half the power of my R1200R and a third the power that my Hayabusa had, but it puts a smile on my face and that's why I ride
-
...oh and fitted the 12V auxiliary power socket.
I have absolutely no idea what I'll use it for or even if i will, but as fitting it requires removal of the tank and exhaust, it seemed a worthwhile thing to do when they were off...just in case.

It has been a busy few days at Gyp towers...
On top of the raised mudguard, centre stand, heated grips, clock, intake covers and rugged pannier that were fitted a while back, I've now fitted the mountings so I can use the sat nav from my BMW, sump guard and bars, Scottoiler X-System, Fox shocks and the posy number plate thing
The bespoke luggage system to allow me to fit my Givis should be back from the powder coaters next week, and the modified catalytic converter should be here too so there will be a bit more spanner waving.
Despite it being the least powerful bike I've ridden in years, I'm really loving this Triumph- 4
-
Not off hand, but they're not hard to fit. I've not got the yeti nor the bars any more so I'm doing this from memory
Firstly use an allen key to screw the mounting pegs into the threaded inserts in the roof rails
Then unlock the end caps with the key and remove.
At both ends of each bar, move the red locking tab to the side to release the roofbar mounting mechanism
Line up each bar on the mounting pegs and, when in position secure the mechanism until the red locking tab clicks into place.
Then secure the end caps with the key
Job done

Gyp, what’s the software used to display your mpg e tc please
On the mk 1, that's the display on the PID, Skoda's Personal Infotainment Device - the GPS/information thing that attaches via the hole at the top of the dash.
Ah, but yours is the mk 2, but I suspect similar is available through the app on your phone

Superb is a great car, enjoy!
Oh, it is and I do, but there really is a difference and i drive the two of them very differently.
The Yeti was fun and i drove it enthusiastically. The Superb is like a limo and I go everywhere far more sedately.
I also washed and polished the Yeti a lot. Foam, clay, various polishes, the lot. I've pointed the pressure washer at the Superb one in the 18 months of ownership. That probably says something about the Yeti too.

Quite a lot of the Motorrad management team get bikes on this basis; it's not unusual for my local BMW dealer to have a few ex-BMW management bikes in their second hand stock.
It's a good way for BMW to get a flow of low-mile bikes into dealers stock for those that either don't want or can't afford new.
