TDI PD/74 kW/diesel engine U - 1.9 ltr. TDI PD/96 kW/diesel engine X - 1.6 ltr./75 kW/petrol engine As written, it will be 3 or 4 characters, if you post a VIN, it can be decoded.

  9. https://www.tayna.co.uk/car-batteries/types/096-agm/ You will need to check on what you have fitted now, so best to take a picture of the top of the battery. AGM or EFB type will be the technology fitted. I put a Varta E39 on mine, as this is an OEM fitted battery, should last years.

  12. IIRC it was down to the internal ROM storage for the firmware. Happened ages ago, and not worth me looking up on search, the only solution was to buy new/used radio.
  13. Fully aware of that, but it's worth remind people that updates can break their systems. I have sent the correct update before now, for it to reveal a fault in the actual radio, and nothing could fix it.
