  1. Try holding down your Menu button for 10 seconds and look around in the engineering menu.
  2. They will probably say your warranty is voided, but these have recovery methods built into the firmware, so even if things went wrong (very unlikely) you can recover the situation. They could be aware you have updated the system if they plug in, but they cannot say "since you updated the firmware, your engine fault was caused by this" It might erase settings in the radio, resetting things to defaults, for some it just updates and like a mobile phone as you say. If you are in doubts, then leave it alone... maybe try with dealer to push for update (though they sound clueless)
  3. I mean I am sure they would wiggle out of it yes, that's what all good dealers do. They will never load software it was not designed for, and they also have emergency recovery method if your update media had bad sectors.
  4. I can send it to you, if you want to bypass their head scratching. You can of course load firmware at your own risk, but 99.99% have no issues, and you cannot accidently load incorrect software.
  5. Not sure if you will get this via OTA method, they don't give any changelog with the file. It was only a recent release, November 2022.
  6. I can verify that 1440 is the latest version for that Software Train. Hopefully someone can answer if you can do wireless AA.
  7. Well there is 1790 version that might apply onto your system. MEN3_EU_SK370_P2345L
  8. Try to press and hold down the Menu button for 10 seconds, this should enter you into the engineering menu, then take a look about. It might be name MEN3_EU_SK for example.
  9. @rjsimm Hunt around in your menu's to find a thing called Software Train if you can.
  10. Can you find your actual Software Train value for your car?
  11. The update file is also the emergency recovery file in the same update. So you have the same tool/file as the dealers. As long as your power is stable throughout and your USB stick is not broken (bad sectors) then it will be smooth sailing.
  12. Every day's a school day, glad to have helped in some way.
  13. Welcome, that sounds like a nice bargain purchase (and you know the history better with a new family car) Watch out kids grow, but they should be fine in that car.
  14. Welcome Jon, why not indeed join in the fun 🤝 Hope the motor does you proud.
  15. Welcome, seems you have a nice passion, and loving your new Kodiaq hopefully.
  16. A belated welcome to you, it sounds like you have a nice Kodiaq there. Feel free to post up a nice shiny picture if you wish.
  17. Good luck with it, now you know roughly what you are looking for, you should be golden. Remember to not touch any bulbs with your bare hands, as the oils will shorten the lifespan, so glove up, use a handkerchief etc.
  18. I think in the interests of science you should try to update from the link, the system won't load the map if it's wrong.
  19. These might just be the typical bulbs fitted, but need to check with own eyes I'm afraid to see. If you have a single bulb for high beam and dipped = H4 (with 3x "prongs" on the back) If you have two bulbs seen for dipped and highbeam, then you will most likely have 2x H7 (one for dipped beam, one for your highbeam) this has only two "prongs" on the back Next you have the amber indicator bulb, PY21 - Note that the pins are "offset" meaning they are not opposite each other. Finally this should be your sidelight, a W5W small bulb that I refer to often as a "peanut" bulb.
  20. Hard to answer accurately as there are several headlight choices (4) A picture of your headlight, or better still the part number of the headlight if it's still on the top will find out what is what. The alternative is you need to remove each bulb that is broken to find out.
  21. Yes I can send you update
  22. Check this whole thread out to see if you have a possible update.
  23. To be fair, you are on newer car than mine, maybe your new bulbs will help. I got some AliExpress reverse LED's that worked for me.
  24. It might be best to list all the bulbs you have swapped to LED's. I have fitted LED reverse, number plate and all the interiors without trouble, I did code LED for number plate iirc.
  25. @djwwautodiagnostics Is there any hardware version info for that at all? More curiousity as to why one ends at 0306, and other begins at 0308 to 0320 (currently)
