Take a look at my plan, take the original rubber mats, get a piece of cardboard and draw the outline of the mat on the cardboard, then go to some carpet selling store and let them cut out your floor mats out of any carpet you choose, then they saw the outline in any colour you want, I believe that's cheaper than the originals, and you can choose all the colours, and if it moves on the floor, you have the two side sticking band, how do you call it, like on the shoes http://i43.tinypic.com/2ekszz8.jpg only they stick on both sides, and saw it in the mat from below. How do you call this sticky band? :wonder:

I think I read somewhere that 86 has standard turbo and 105 has variable geometry turbo, maybe different fuel injectors.

Thanks for the answers guys, as I was new I didnt know about the My Content option and couldnt find my topics No, we do not have supermarket-run petrol stations, here there are large company petrol stations like MOL, EKO Hellenic, OMV, the National Oil Industry-NIS, etc. and there are so called "private" petrol stations run by individuals and they are local-type, they usually have 1-2 stations in their city which is often small town.

The new model will come out in 2013. I hope they will keep up with the trend of improving power on their existing engines in every new model. We had HTPs with 55 and 64hp, later 60 and 70. The 1.4 16v with 75, then 80 or 85, cant remember... Hope that the TSI will go to say 90 and 110 or something like that. When the new model comes out it will pass a few years until vRS, like this time, only after restyle in 2010. they added vRS.

Ive heard of this compressor problem, the dude on one VW forum writes about changing some electro-magnetic-compressor-clutch-thing on his Tiguan 1.4TSI 160bhp.

The colour is Pacific Blue Uni, and the roof is matte white auto foil.

there has been just a little update: EDIT> Next thing on the menu are the rims, probably a mk.1 vRS wheels if possible, and after that lowering, -3 to 4cm. And after we'll see. Maybe adding rear speakers. I forgot to say this is matte white foil.

This morning I notices a strange plastic-on-plastic rattling sound coming from the direction of the glove box, and only when idling. Did anyone of you guys noticed something similar? I am now on ~12000km. When I open the engine compartment I thing that everything sounds normal, with the same but diminished sound coming from behind the radiator liquid reservoir.

The TSI stands for Twincharged Stratified Injection, the FSI is Fuel Stratified Injection, but the nomenclature is not consistent so the TSI is also used in non twincharged but only turbocharged engines. Audi remained consistent with the names and acronyms and they still use TFSI meaning Turbo Fuel Stratified Injection and that is also because they do not have twincharged VW engines in their offer, this is applied to small displacement engines, not sure about the bigger ones. Audi has 1.2TFSI 86 bhp in A1, 105 bhp in A3, 2.0TFSI which is also just turbocharged, and 1.4TFSI with 122bhp which is only turbo. Cheers.

I absolutely love mine(6500 miles), very fun to drive, great economy for its capabilities and performance, loads of torque.

VW is going to unveil the new 1.0 TSI with 50 and 55kW in the 2012. and that engine is supposed to replace the slowly aging HTP, i think that they are going to make the 1.0TSI out of 1.2TSI by removing one cylinder, like they did with the 1.6TDI CR(1.2TDI CR deriving from 1.6 with one pot less). My guess is we will first see 1.0TSI in new Škoda small city car planned for the 2012. This is all part of the VWs strategy to disband all atmospheric engines in its offer by 2012.

TSI has no cambelt, it is chain driven which VW states it is maintenance free. Regards to the HTP, it is good engine which is even more improved by the great gear ratios which give it its kick in 1st, 2nd and maybe 3rd gear, but thats where the magic stops, and it is proven during many years and customers. The TSI needs to be proved yet.

Engine cover may eventually decrease outer engine noise but I am sure that it has nothing to do with improving the sound isolation inside the car.

Hi guys, I noticed few days ago that when releasing the clutch, in the position when it is almost fully released i hear a 'click' sound from the left side of the engine compartment, it this normal, the car goes well as it always did, no trouble with gear changing, selection etc. This sound is present in driving or when standing still and just pressing and releasing the clutch pedal. Anyone? Thanks

with my Fabia 1.2TSI 105 manual, i get 6-7l per 100km in the gridlock, or easy under 6l per 100km in city drive in the evening when the streets are clear. On the highway at 120-140kmh it is 5.5-5.9l per 100km.
