  1. If your paintjob worth is couple of thousand pounds then 115 for bonnet cover is pocket change...
  2. No engine cover in any make or version or model for 1.2TSI, 1.4TSI 122hp in Audi A1 comes with plastic engine cover and TFSI badge on it.
  3. So does the 1.2TSI 105bhp with manual gearbox have floating flywheel? Tnx
  4. Some guys employed in VW dealers services here say that the 1.6 TDIs have floating flywheel problems of epidemic proportions, I hope this is not your problem. And do you have some information about this in UK?
  5. I have a technical question considering the 1.2TSI 105 in my Fabia. Is the 1.2 TSI equipped with floating flywheel?
  6. My friends dad is traffic engineer(he done a phd in car and tour bus behavior in bad road conditions under different load and extreme maneuvers) and he also says the same, good tires on the rear wheels. So I would do that.
  7. After reading this thread yesterday night I went out to test my Fab, mine is 5-speed manual and I didnt experience lag as you describe It, Its just that the engine gets its full torque at around 1600-1800 rpm when turbo kicks in fully and It goes away like hell! It might be that some of you have been driving atmo engines before you tried the TSI so it it strange that the power is not there instantly when you press the throttle but you have a slight delay. Greets!
  8. Hi guys, been reading the thread, and I dont know what is dynamatting, i presume that it is some kind of sound proofing fabric that you put inside the door panels. I would be grateful if someone uploads the picture of that so I can look for that in my country. Greets!
  9. Are you sure? I'm thinking it is more like 38?
  10. Hi guys, does anyone know the specific size of 15" wheel on skoda fabia mk2 facelift? I need ET, and the size of the central hole. I know that it is 6.0x15 and 5x100 but I need these two numbers more (ET and middle hole) as I want to put a non OEM wheels. Thanks. And also, how much can I vary the ET and not to threaten my safety and driving capabilities.
  11. I am driving Fabia 1.2TSI 105, and I can tell you that HTP and TSI are different worlds. The elasticity and acceleration of TSI is centuries ahead of the HTP. Also the TSI is much quieter and generally better balanced due to its 4 cylinder configuration, it produces way less vibrations. But there are a bit higher maintenance costs, it is equipped with a turbo, then comes the other stuff, direct injection which can be sensitive on bad fuel.
  12. Tnx Ross, I am glad to hear that from you. In Serbia there are almost no Fabia TSIs at all, I saw only one more besides mine, and it was 63kw. Everybody drives HTPs, then 1.4 16v. How much engine oil goes into 1.2TSI? I cant find it in my manual.
  13. Ross, Comet are one of my favorite alloys for Fabia, aside with Kentaur. Another thing, the board computer have indicator for gear shift. When i drive 60 km per hour in 4th gear after a few moments the icon flashes that I can shift up into 5th gear. Then the rpm is around 1400, my friends keep convincing me that this is really bad for the engine, that it needs more rpm, that by driving like this i keep choking it and what not. Is it really that bad, the engine works all normal in this regime, it works even, no chokes and what so ever. So, do I go keep listening to BC indication or drive it a bit more aggressively? Note that when I am doing 60kmh in 5th and I need acceleration I normally drop it into 4th or 3rd gear, I do not keep lugging it with too big throttle when it is in low rpm.
  14. I think the largest steel rims for Fabia are 15" inch steels.
  15. I keep watching Top Gear and 5th Gear here in Serbia and few times I think i saw them saying something about "supermarket fuel". What is it? Does that mean you go to the supermarket and by fuel? How does it look? Do they sell it in canisters or what? I don't understand, you pop out to the supermarket to buy milk and you buy some fuel with it? :wonder:
  16. Can you upload the picture of it? Im planning to put this end pipe on my TSI 1.2.
  17. I was wondering, since the board computer shows current fuel consuption, when I remove my foot of the throttle pedal, the BC shows 0.0L/100km. Does that really means the consumption is zero at that point?
  18. It gives a really good pull in 1st gear but somewhat weaker, it also spins wheels in 2nd and 3rd, when the turbo kicks in the party starts! And your Fab color is awesome, probably the best available for me, I prefer silver alloys but Gigaro are great anyways.
  19. Did anyone of you who are driving Fabia 1.2TSI 105bhp, noticed that in 1st gear feeling that the engine is not releasing it's full power, something like safety limit from wheel spinning and damaging the engine while in 2nd and 3rd gear the engine has more power, it might be that I'm affraid to give it full throttle in 1st gear and in 2nd and 3rd I push it harder. Does anyone know of such limitator?
  20. Hey mate, cool colour, same like mine. Love it! Greetings
  21. Škoda does not manufacture engine cover for 1.2TSI, i just checked at the general importer for Serbia. Now Ill try Audi dealer, it would be cool to put Audi engine cover with TFSI badge.
  22. I was also asking myself if I heard a weird noise while making a full left or right turn but I thought it must be the road because there was some gravel there, be shure that I will try this combination and let you know what happened as soon as I can. Greetings.
  23. Now I'm browsing through the Fabia II owners forum and I don't see any of the forum members cars presented, and I was wondering, in my country every forum has a "Forum members cars - Garage" section where each member presents his car like I did in my thread, but I can't find it on briskoda.net? Can anyone direct me? Thanks
  24. The diesels have an engine cover, but for 1.2 TSI they dont deliver, also Audi A1 with the same 1.2TSI also comes without engine cover.
