hmm i have the same symptoms but mine drops all the way to zero, il change it tomorrow and see if that solves it. Is it still safe to drive at the miniute though?

Anybody? Just need to know that its safe to drive until i can get to skoda tomorrow.

Right just been out in it again and after a while the temperature shot up to 90, and then dropped back down and then up again, vica versa. Although the temp never went over 90. Would i be right in thinking coolant temp sensor?

Yea i was thinking the thermostat as it the gauge didnt move off the bottom. Anybody got a part number?

Hi Just picked up my 03' octavia vrs and noticed on the way home that the temperature didnt move off 50. What should i be looking at? Thermostat? Thanks Ryan
