Hello, Might sound like am trying to con the insurance people but I'm not. My partner has a car which is not worth fixing, its a 206 with a goosed rear axle and really not worth the hassle repairing it. I have kindly let her have my pride and joy if she insures and taxes it, but its under my name. Is there any way round this for her to drive the car whilst its still under my name instead of changing owners of the car to her name just so she can insure it? Any help will be much appreciated.

Its a serious piece of equipment! Its an N/A GTi engined Series 1 106 Rallye so basically Throttle boddies along with everything you could to do to a 106! it's got a dog box as well hence the quick gear changes! The dog box is if you have some serious pennies to spend! :p I'm in love with it every time I see it! Thats why am building one!

Thats my Idea out the window! Was away to say 106! I'm in the process of rebuilding a VTS engine to put in a S1 106 Rallye I have seen a few and they shift honest! Maybe twist your arm with these two clips of someone I know in his 106??

I have a S1 106 Rallye and not had much problems... Just wear and tear as its a 16 year old car! Ball joints bushes etc. Rear axles are common on 106's and 206's as they are torsion bars. If they go you are about £400 for a garage to source one and fit it. Gearboxes are quiet soft of too but only if your heavy on it. My partner has a 206 and needed a rear axle for MOT in 2009 and I recently checked it for her as she said the car feels like its wobbling jacked the car up and there was far too much play! Its not getting repaired as I think its pointless because you cant guarantee that the 2nd hand axle is decent or not, so trying to give her the Rallye but shes not wanting it. Hence my garage is full of French car parts including axles!

My car was in for a service yesterday and got a quote for getting this done because am lazy... I am now doing it my self I was quoted near £100 for both rear doors iirc!

Unfortunately yes I was, the altenator belt snap showing a RS4 who's boss! But now the gearbox is goosed!! Anyone have a spare F28 gearbox for sale? its going to be over £1000 to fix

You could be just used to the power your car gives out now, every passenger I have say eff me!! this thing shifts! but I think nah it's not that quick! Just because am used to it! Jump into other peoples cars and think this feels so much quicker than my car! Time for modifications now

Try living in the NE of Scotland.... I have speeding paranoia... I think that the police are round the corner waiting for me everywhere I go!! Not long ago I went down to Stirling and did not see 1 police car... on the way back up no police cars to be seen until I got North of Aberdeen! Then I seen 2 police motorbikes... 1 Traffic Patrol car and a van! There everywhere up here! :(

Hello all, As it says basically, I am booked in for the 12th Feb and want to get a few idea's on what to do to the car for better performance etc. As far as I know its standard with a re-map to about 170bhp but clueless if its true or not hence its going on the RR Any idea's appreciated.

It is the correct bulb, the bottom one that houses the fog lights too. It was at a Skoda garage the bulb came from.

Anyone got a copy of it? My passenger tail light has went after starting the car, putting the lights on and driving about 2 meters, changed the bulb and still not working. The warning light on the dash comes up and I'm looking at the manual and it says the warning light comes on if a light bulb is damaged: Brakes applied (brake light) in lighting (low beam and/or rear light). Its doing my head in and am needing it fixed and hopefully a diagram will give me a clue hopefully, unless someone knows the problem!
