Not much difference adding the belt to the water pump belt has to come off to change the pump

Mine is a Skoda super 1.9Tdi there using the same water pump in a lot of the VW brand and a lot of failures they know all about it

Mine was a 2019 had 40,000 on the clock it's a knowing fault try Skoda and see if they can do a deal I think Skoda UK recommend timing belt change after 5 years or 120000km which ever comes first if it is the water pump your better off getting the whole trimming belt kit done

How old is the car is it still in warranty I had the same problem ended up just bringing it to my local mechanic and got the timing belt and water pump done got the water pump without the problem part that's causing the problems

Had same problem on a superb tried disconnecting the wiring to the water pump but there wes a lot of stuff had to be removed first ended up getting the whole timing belt kit replaced by my local mechanic and made sure the water pump didn't have the shroud. Mine failed at 40.000 KM wouldn't risk the hassle of it failing again

That's the faulty water pump .

Skoda garage wanted to milk me 110 euro to scan a car with no faults on it and couldn't tell me if they would cover any of the costs if the water pump was faulty ended up bringing it to my local mechanic got the whole timing belt kit fitted I'll never deal with a Skoda garage again horrible to deal with

I'm going to as soon as I can got a long trip tomorrow don't know weather I can trust the car was on to Skoda dealer today they said book it in for a diagnostic costing €110 I all ready scanned it no fault codes my local Skoda dealer is useless don't really want them near the car unless they are willing to put something to the cost going do drop into local garage early next week car running perfect today.

Yeah sorry it's a 2019 1.9 TDI 150 BHP 40,000 on the clock. Living in Ireland Always have a terribly time with Skoda dealers here they can never find a problem with a car that's in warranty it's happened twice so far no problems today garage can't tell me if they would cover any of the cost if it is a failed water pump And a manual transmission.

Yeah I know rang garage today want 110 to run diagnostic I scanned car all ready no fault codes. It's happened twice now should I run it into the red to make it through a fault code before bringing it to the garage any advice welcome Thanks

I'll give them a call and see how I get on can't seem to get them to do any warranty work getting a bit sick of their excuses over the last few years they can't seem to find a fault in any car under warranty.

Probably not covered so the plan came with the purchase of the car

Hi all Just wondering where I would stand I have a 2019 super still under warranty I left it into the Steelers in January for its second service and gave them the list of problems one of them creaking noise from front driver side suspension dealer said suspension was fine and they just greased the bushes. Needless to say didn't make any difference now 8 months on the front shock is leaking oil what's the chances on getting this fixed under warranty I have a feeling there going to say it's a consumable part. Any input would be great Thanks
