    Amundsen+ DAB

PITA. So you have to have a Navigation unit if you want DAB. I've had DAB in my cars since 2006 (Vectra Estate and current Mondeo Hatch) and love it. But don't need navigation as i use a trusty TomTom. Has anyone seen any pricing info as the configurator still shows this as £0 cost option
  3. 4. I'm sure something could be made using a bungee, fabric and some sticky back plastic. Blue Peter here I come. Shame I've not got a Yeti Yet (
  5. Does the octavia estate have a retractable shelf and would it fit in a yeti?
  6. Have a look at this thread http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/172852-sd-cardwhat-size-and-where-from/page__p__2094512__hl__sd+card__fromsearch__1#entry2094512 it might help
  7. Nice yeti. Cannot wait until October when I will be able to place an order to replace my Leased Mondeo. I question is the wood trim standard with gobi interior or did you spec this as an option? Happy Yeting
  8. My Mondeo drinks sainsburys diesel, and it's very happy on that. I have been told that sainsburys fuel is actually BP. As to how true this is god only knows. I have tried Shell but can see no difference in mpg or performance. One thing I do know is that morrisons diesel is a lot poorer and the mondeo doesn't like it at all. Again, I think it is down to engine type and personal choice (Ford recommend BP) What do Skoda recommend?
  9. Surprised this bracket isn't a standard fit when fitting the towbar.
  10. I'm confused (doesn't take much) :'( My question is then If it is a legal requirement to have an additional fixing point why is there no such point fitted as standard when a towbar is fitted. I've always wrapped the cable from my unbraked trailer round the swan neck, as there was no method of attaching it to the cars I've owned. 02 plate Toyota Corrola T-sport, 06 plate Vectra Estate and a 09 Mondeo Hatch all new and fitted with a manufacturer towbar. Surely if it was a legal requirement when a swan neck towbar is fitted they would have to provide a seperate attachment point.
  11. Spotted a Tangerine 11 Plate in the Village Hall Carpark at Kinnerley, just south of Oswestry on Saturday 16th April. Definately a Marmite colour, not sure if I love or hate.
  12. The forum looks not have been changed as my laptop is reporting 12:23 and the forum is reporting 11:21
  13. So go on, tell us how what the add-on is made out of. I can see that you have kept the original skoda ones but what did you use to make the extensions out of.
  14. I'm hoping that by the time I come to order the Yeti in October DAB will be at least an option.

    Lock In

Never do, the most valuable thing left in my car is my USB Pen with all the music on.

    Lock In

Bit of a worry, as anyone could buy these and gain access to your pride and joy!!!
  17. Is it me or does the Yeti, suit the bolder colours and does anyone else think that Skoda (and all other manufacturers) have gone too conservative?
  18. Whilst surfing the web came across this Yeti, in what can best be described as grass green, which suits the yeti IMHO http://www.my-kuga.ru/images/skoda-yeti.jpg I'm assuming that this is a full respray.
  19. Do the sockets stay on all the time or do they switch off after 30mins after locking the car? Vauxhall had the option to change from Constant to switched by changing the position of the fuse
  20. I have to say that my last car Vauxhall Vectra and my current car Ford Mondeo, they both have DAB radios and I only listern to DAB channels. I do a lot of driving throughout the Uk and there are only 2 places where reception is a problem. M6 north of Carlisle for a 5 mile stretch through the hills and in Mid-South Wales, where the signal was blocked by the hills. It must be mentioned that FM also struggled in these areas. Failing that DAB gives perfect reception right across the UK. I'm really dissapointed that Skoda aren't even offering DAB as an optional extra. Hey Ho, BigRich
  21. Interesting, when the likes of Vauxhall and Ford now fit DAB as standard in their high end models. I will be surprised if the government forces the change as I believe DAB hasn't been taken up as quick as they first anticipated. I believe it is less than 20% Big Rich
  22. Thanks for the updates. Doing 20k a year on mainly motorways means that good MPG can make a big financial difference. Whilst I like the idea of 4x4 the question is do I really need it? Will I be leaving the tarmac? I haven't up to now on both these questions, so is the extra cost and lower MPG worth it. Still not sure. Will be intrested to see this thread mature with vehicles that have passed the 10k mark. Rgds Big Rich
  23. Good afternoon, Hello. New member here. I'm due to change my company car in about 14 months time and I'm starting to look around for what i will choose next. Currently I have an 09 Ford Mondeo Hatch. My main cricteria's for the new car are as follows; Diesel Good MPG Cruise Control Good Stereo. Decent Sized boot. I've seen a couple of Yeti's around and really like the look of them. I'm interested in finding our what the true world MPG figures are for comparison to the manufacturers stated ones. (The Mondeo is returning 44mg over 40k miles Ford stated 48mpg on combined, calculated by tank to tank measurements and not the trip computer) I'm interested in finding out the mpg for the 2.0 TDi 140 4x4 and the 2.0 TDi 2 wheel drive as I'm torn between the two options. Thanks in advance Big Rich
