  1. Nice review of the kessy system. I believe that you actually can drive away with the car without the key in it. My dealer told me that one of his colleagues made the misstake to hand over the car to his wife with the engine running. When she had left he found the key in his pocket. Fortunately he got hold of her before she stopped the engine... /P
  2. Oh, is it an Aqua Blue? I have ordered one in that color to. Some pictures would be nice! Have also ordered with KESSY. How do you like it? /P
  3. You can get SDCH card support in an older columbus if you have correct hardware version and you upgrade your firmware to a version that supports SDHC. (Version 2684 I think...) /P
  4. You are probably right. But I still don't believe that you should compare the Skoda Sound System with the current B&O in Audi. The B&O in the A4 is a 14 speaker system with an active DSP that dynamically changes the EQ-curve to suite the current noise level in the car. This is done with the help of a couple of microphones placed inside the car. A more fair comparison would be the 10 speaker sound system upgrade (Called Audi Soundsystem) that is available for the Audi. As said earlier, I got it in my current A4 and it sounds ok, with no problems of vibrating doors. With that being said, the Superb Sound System should preform equally as the Audi Soundsystem. I hope that Skoda sorts out the vibrating doors so that all owners that have this problem could have it fixed. /P
  5. I dont think you should compare the Sound system upgrade in the superb with the BOSE and Bang & Olufsen upgrades in the Audis. My current Audi A4 (2009) has an upgraded sound system with 10 speakers. The price for this upgraded system is about the same as the Superb upgrade. The B&O system upgrade for this car is about 3 times more expensive than the system I have. /P
  6. I think its possible to download it and burn it to a CD and do the update yourself. I know that its available for download from http://www.my-gti.com . But there is always a risk that you brick your unit if somethings goes wrong. /P
  7. In the Superb catalog there is 18" alloy called Luxon. Looks like the one on the picures. Article nr: CCX 800 004A /P
  8. rSAP is a bluetooth profile witch makes it possible for a GSM unit to make use of a SIM-card in another device via bluetooth. This means that the car has a GSM unit built in that uses your SIM-card in the telephone via bluetooth. /P
  9. You probably also need to add support for new video codecs for the video from SD card should make sense. As far as I can tell, the columbus only handles DVD-video, witch means that other formats would have to be converted to work. /P
  10. Are you shure that you have the GSM III module installed in your car? I have read somwhere that the swedish cars are fitted with the GSM II module that works with almost every phone. /P
  11. Maybe a stupid question, but are you shure you have the bluetooth option? /P
  12. Google translate is funny! The direct translation is "The taste is like the ass! Divided!" So the meaning is the same as one mans poison is another mans meat, so google translate almost gets it right! /P
  13. Acording to wikipedia ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skoda_Superb ) It is based on a stretched version of the PQ35 platform. The same as A3, Golf, Octavia... But then again, if you look att the PQ46 platform that the Passat is based on ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volkswagen_Group_B_platform#PQ46 ), the Superb is listed. And now I read the whole info about PQ35/PQ46 Apparently the PQ46 platform is a larger version of the PQ35 platform. /P
  14. LOL! Nice and cosy in the winter! I also belive that the skins are from meat cows, but hey, some people dont like that either! My disslinking of leather seats is because i dont like the looks. But "Smaken är som baken! Delad!" , as we say in sweden. Im in stockholm, newer been to Texas Steakhouse, but frequently visits Texas Longhorn, maybe its the same? They have great food! /P
  15. Good suggestion, but in this case I think he was not choosing the leather because his girlfriend does not like that innocent cows get killed just for us to have something to sit on. Personally I dont like the leather. I have chosen felicity on my car (on order). What I have seen from demo cars, the quality of this interior is just as good as in my current Audi A4 2009. (or even better...) /P
  16. In sweden the raised boot floor is standard on the combi. Maybe it is in Norway to? /P
  17. It is possible to dim LED's, but you can not dim them in the same way that you dim standard bulbs. You need a special dimming circuit to dim LED's. So replacing a standard bulb that dims with a LED is going to make the LED turn off when the dimming should occur . /P
  18. That sucks for all you UK buyers wanting the sunroof. Regarding the delivery times. My dealer told me that there has been a delay when ordering the sunroof, but that it was better now. But he also said that there was an even larger delay if you order a car with the DSG gearbox. Mine is a manual, so no extra delay there. /P
  19. As said, I got a preliminary build week of 51. So delivery should be some time in January if its built week 51. /P
  20. Got week 51 as the preliminary build week and delivery in January. /P
  21. I ordered my Superb last week with the panoramic sunroof. They are even running comercials on tv that highlights the sunroof. /P
  22. That sounds great! So the realist problem with the upgraded system is the vibrating door cards when playing loud bass? It could not be to hard to find the right spot to isolate to get rid of this vibration? I'll get right on it when I get my car. /P
  23. How is the upgraded sound system compared to the standard? I drove a demo car with the standard system and I didn't like it. I ordered the upgraded system because of this. Im not looking for "fat bass", just more clarity in the sound. Have I made the right choice? /P
