  1. Yup, you may very well be correct about them mixing up front and rear seats- wouldn't be at all surprised! I'm sure an after market heated screen would be very pricey.
  2. Simply b. annoying. So one can order a car with a certain spec. Can hold on for many many months before it arrives and then find it's not to the spec that one ordered! So I would think their terms and conditions of sale should only allow extras on the car at no cost and certainly NOT omissions from the contracted terms.
  3. I note that headlamp washers are now standard on the SEL. That I don't have on my late 2022 model. All I need extra is the heated front screen (and heated front seats if they are no longer standard). Plus maybe the light package but I'm even wondering about that to be honest!
  4. What exactly needs resetting? Are you talking about the auto dip function?
  5. With experience of Skoda UK knowledge, I very much doubt if they would have a clue. When I queried with Skoda UK why my present car wouldn't change the headlights for driving abroad, they said it should; they didn't actually know, went out to their car in their car park and said how to change the lights on the car's menu system. The when I pointed out the car is an SEL they said, oh yes as it's not a sportline.....
  6. They certainly do keep changing the spec. My present late 2022 SEL does have heated front seats. But no torch in the boot ( as we had in s previous Yeti. Now I wonder, as you imply, whether the standard SEL will come with heated front seats. My dealer says you often have to wait until the car is delivered and then have the opportunity of seeing what it comes with and then rejecting the car if necessary ( great after waiting several months)! The dealer has offered me a reasonable deal on a new car only because the one I now have didn't come with promised options.
  7. Agreed!
  8. Well that's good to hear. My objection to the sportline was being forced into 19" wheels; I thought the 18" ones on the SEL were going to be bad enough! Agree with you regarding non-LED's inside the car - at least LED external!
  9. That's my problem I don't need or want the heated rear seats My present SEL has heated front seats and not sure about the heated washer jets. I may be wrong but my November2022 SEL came with front heated seats as standard so don't want to duplicate the cost just for the heated front screen!
  10. I think it was mainly reading on this forum from various posts that the autodip worked haphazardly and the quality of the lights was not as good as the standard LED's. If autodip cannot be relied upon then It's not worth having!
  11. I have a SEL but it hasn't got a heated front screen. I have a new SEL on order and would like to add a heated front screen. I understand that one needs to add the Winter package. This included heated front seats but my present SEL has these anyway. Can one add the screen only as don't want to pay twice for heated seats!
  12. I have a new SEL on order. I had included the Light Package to enable the matrix lights with adjustment for European driving and also having the automatic high beam dip. However the more I read of the matrix system the more I wonder if I'm not better sticking with the normal LED lights, dropping the light level with infotainment screen menu and manually dipping the lights. My previous 12 year old MB had these features and they worked perfectly Any views on this?
  13. With regard to the phone system I had understood that you should be able to accept and end a call by pushing the silver roller switch on the right hand side of the steering wheel. I can do neither with my late 2022 SEL. Should this work? .
  14. I guessed as much. Hopefully if enough complaints Skoda may improve it ( just don't rely on this happening)!
  15. How can one store the Saved (favourite) destinations in alphabetical order rather than randomly in the order they are saved? Never known this random storing on any other make of car!

We have been considering changing our 2 cars (2017 petrol Yeti and 2012 MB E coupe diesel) for 1 car as we don't have a need for 2. We have test driven a petrol Karok SEL DSG and frankly it seemed to fit the bill with plenty of boot space, versatility, toys etc and a quiet smooth drive. We also tested a Tiguan but frankly I couldn't warm to it. The Karok is on a long delivery time so may not be placing an order too soon. The Yeti is a very hard act to follow! Any others considered/ bought a Karok or Tiguan able to comment?

I am coming round to the same decision for similar reasons. The Yeti just seems to tick most of the boxes. The 1.2 is slightly underpowered in the lower gears, and ours is a manual but same spec as yours, but the mog is good and it does the job pretty well.

Our other option is to keep the yeti. It's a 2017 with 35000 on the clock. Not sure what would class as a sensible mileage to change the car, bearing in mind the run out of non- electric vehicles at the end of the decade.

I really want to avoid diesel after many many diesel cars. The added complications of the injection systems and emissions with adblu etc. However I do miss the torque!

Thanks for this. We have had a 4x4 TDI yeti and presently a 1.2 petrol Yeti. Both have been excellent. Just feel we now need one car rather than my mb and our shared yeti. I did wonder if there was any real downside to the Karoq. I was looking at petrol mainly for flexibility in ulez areas here and abroad.

How did you get on with the Karoq? We are thinking of swapping our petrol Yeti together with a pristine MB E coupe for a petrol automatic Karok. How does it compare with the yeti?

Ok, looks as if the 507 spec will do the job fine. It will only be in the car for a year ( and probably low mileage) despite being long life. Thanks

Roottoot. Ours is a 2017 so one of the last yeti petrols. I would not have gone for a 597 oil had it not been for the fact that I have a 5 litre can unused. I was just concerned that it may be overspecced and containing anything not suitable.

Carlodiesel. Have used miller's many times but found their recommended oil was also over soecced as being 504 and 507. I think it's 502 for annual servicing and 504 for extended. But finding anything less than 507 isn't easy. Wonder what the garages use. Just wondered if using 507 would be detrimental as I guess it contains detergents for diesels etc.

Yeti 1.2tsi petrol 2017. I have 5 litres of miller's oil that's vw507 spec. Is this ok to use for an upcoming service. Just wondered if it is too high a spec. Car is set for annual servicing.
