And it appears we don't get the ACT symbol at the top of the dash when 2 cylinders cut out! Had that on the SEL

GillyGilbert - as a matter of interest what do you have on the dash centre panel screen between the dials before you press on the lower right button on the right of the steering wheel? Would it be the map?

Well that's quite bizarre. My car is newly delivered. Dealer has tried other cars of same age and found there is no sub menu when pressing on navigation. The only result of pressing is to change scale of map displayed in that central location. I wonder how old your car is or when it was built. Is it Sportline? Mine is a Sportline with ACC and other features and of the most recent age similar to the build date of the latest SEL'Edition' models. Maybe a late software update. I'm glad you have the feature that I sorely miss that I had on my 2023MY SEL!

No that doesn't work on the latest software. It did work on my 2023MY Karoq. Latest software pressing that button gives no sub menu other than the scaling of the map on the navigation (map) at centre panel on dash between rev counter and Speedo.

Ok. Dealer staff have all looked at this. Conclusion is that on latest cars the green directions cannot be displayed in the centre panel between the virtual cockpit Speedo and rev counter. Absolutely crazy that we have to put up with the satnav map on the dash and also on the satnav screen. The only thing one can do is to configure the screen within the rev counter dial to show direction arrows instead of one of the alternative options (I have the mpg from start showing). I fear a lot of change on models is change for change sake rather than usefulness. I'm praying for an update to improve matters!

Hi, Yes you are quite correct. Annoying that this may be the only way around the problem. It was perfectly positioned on my late 2022 SEL. If it ain't broke don't try to mend it! I'm still awaiting s response from Skoda UK via my garage. Don't hold out much hope and I'll bet they don't even mention the work around we have found! I'll post the response I get.

Thanks for the link but doesn't work for me possibly because I have a 2025 car. The navigation option (on the dashboard with the 2 dials option) does not give any options other than changing the scale of the map!

Hi. Quite agree. I've taken it in to the Skoda garage and the guy who should know isn't in until tomorrow so hopefully will get an answer then.

Just collected a Sportline with virtual cockpit The centre dash display shows a duplicate of the satnav map. My previous SEL was configured to show the turn directions in that panel. Can anyone help me please? Dealer reckons right hand scroll wheel does it but that only changes the scale of the map.

Matrix headlight adjust for Europe
Anybody else with non-matrix (LED) lights confused on this?
-
Matrix headlight adjust for Europe
My 2022 (23my) SEL has LED headlights but if I shine them on a garage door I can see s definite kick up to the left on the beam pattern. However I haven't had any vehicles flash me when abroad. Skoda say the headlamps meet EU legislation regarding kickups etc and therefore don't need any adjustment abroad; if that's the case why do they offer adjustment on the matrix lights?

Tyre Pressure Problem
Despite the Skoda Connect constantly reporting a tyre fault and constantly refreshing, eventually the app reported no problem! Certainly not reliable.

Tyre Pressure Problem
Only driven anot 10 miles since resetting.

Tyre Pressure Problem
Tyre pressure symbol came up on dashboard. Checked tyres they were ok but pumped them up a bit and reset the menu system. Light extinguished on dashboard Skoda connect app still shows a fault. Reloaded the app but tyre error still shows on the app.

Karoq or Audi Q3
That's correct but the se édition is pretty much closer to the spec of the current sel.
-
Karoq or Audi Q3
I think they are different cars on same chassis. So I'm interested in hearing from anyone who has changed from one to the other.

Karoq or Audi Q3
Indeed, the original 3 year warranty.

Karoq or Audi Q3
Our Karoq petrol dsg sel is shortly coming to the end of it's warranty. It's been fine, comfortable and 20k miles to date over it's 2 and a half years I've had a look at options and think to Audi Q3 looks pretty good. Has anybody switched to or come from aQ3 to/from the karoq. Had a look at the sel replacement ( now SE Edition). Q3 just seems a bit plusher.

Mine is late 2022. Poor paint had been mentioned elsewhere and dealers wouldn't be interested. I think it's the paint rather than the shape of the car. Ive never had a car affected by chips so badly.

I never had a problem with our Fabia or Yetis. Karol chips far too easily and paint seems really thin.ive heard about Tesla also. I'm not sure it's just to do with the water based paint, but clearly it's not helping.

I just hope the Bentley has a better paint finish than the Karok.

- Engine Oil Query
Thanks Rooted. Yes, sorry should have said VW508 and not mentioned 509. The service guy I have been dealing with does seem to be genuine and came quickly back to me after I let him know what Castrol had said to me. Unfortunately a great deal of the info I have had from sales and service staff has been proved incorrect; just wish they don't know, they should say so!- Engine Oil Query
Ok. An update here. It turns out that the dealer had designated the oil as SLX111 longlife on the invoice and told me as I left the dealership that the oil was 05w-30. However I emailed him and he now says that if he said it was 05w-30 he was mistaken and that the oil should have been designated as 0w-20 and is known as Castrol 508 to the dealership, bought in bulk. Garage said this had never been queried in the past but assured me it IS the correct 0w-20. I can only hope that what he has said is correct. I generally always take my own oil for any car service; this one was a freebie by the dealer for previous mess ups! - Engine Oil Query
