Yeah, I have the 220bhp version and installed a racechip tuning box for a bit.. it was putting out 290bhp & 350 lb/ft on RR session.

Yeah I would say I'll miss the power a bit and all the sporty bits, but will still be getting a great car and maybe it will be not a harsh with non sports suspension and thinner sidewalls..

I will try the reversal first, although my superb is leased, so I'll be keeping the current liner, so may have a go butchering that.. PS.. I only sat in a Kodiaq last week and have never driven one!!! all the dealers were closed due to Covid when I ordered.. although looking forward to it. so haven't had a good poke around one yet..

Thanks for that.. it won't be here for another 5-6 weeks.. so just planning ahead.. I'm reasonably fussy with regard to washing etc.. but don't know much about all this ceramic stuff.. A good coat of Collinite 476 always did the job for me.. but maybe nowadays there are better options? I see you have a Meteor Grey superb too.. great colour and I'll miss mine when it goes..

I currently have a plastic boot liner in my superb and would like something similar for my Kodiaq when it arrives. I would say that most of the time we will have the 7 seats in use, so I'm after a liner for the small boot.. if that makes sense.. All I can find online is for when the seats are folded.. Anyone know of such a thing? Thanks

I have a new Kodiaq SE L on order and it's Quartz Grey. Any suggestions for a suitable wax / sealant? I have an Autoglym life shine kit here that my father in law gave me.. is that worth a shot? I've always liked detailing my cars and have some Collinite, a little bit of Werkstatt kit - from about 10 years ago when I had metallic A4's.. Nothing too pricey, but something that will make the dark metallic look well.. Thanks

I was told "off the record" by our assessor just to disagree with his assessment.. never heard any more about the additional charges.. I would would say those look OK as part of normal wear and tear..

I only used the Skoda nav the odd time in the first year as it had skoda connect with live traffic etc.. but now I find google so much easier to use and always has accurate enough traffic etc too.

Couple of small points.. the Superb is the same length as the Kodiaq give or take a few mm.. I wouldn't go back to a manual after driving an auto. with the Adaptive cruise you literally push start and put into D and just steer.. takes nearly all the effort out of driving.. Me and my wife happily jump between each others cars and have no issue adjusting between manual and auto. I've had a sportline superb for 3 years and have a kodiaq on order (1.5 DSG SE L).. I wouldn't thank you for full leather and much prefer the 1/2 alcantara.. not as cold in winter or as hot in summer.. Electric boot is also great, I have it at the minute and would miss it if not there.. I didn't spec it though..

The colour is mental in the sun.. :-) Mine just looks like a huge mushroom when the sun shines on it..

This looks a great retrofit.. If only I'd known it was possible.. I could of had it installed for the last 2 years 9 months.. May try and do it on my Kodiaq when it arrives.. Any more updates?

Hi all, I've ordered a Kodiaq SE L which is due to arrive in July.. I'm wondering what my options are for watching movies in the car? I currently have a 2018 superb sportline with 9.2 Columbus, which has the DVD player and SD card slots X2. I believe the new Amundsen 8" doesn't have anything physical to add storage.. is it just a case of using my phone (android) or using a usb stick via some sort of usb-c adapter. The dvd has been a godsend while sitting in hospital carparks over the last week with two of my kids.. Thanks

I have the 220bhp and the wheel hop / axle tramp is awful.. I think it's the MQB platform.. mine has done it from new.. so much so that I initially left it into Skoda to check the transport blocks hadn't been left in by mistake.. causing it to jump about and bang.. agree.. get decent front tyres, but I've had potenzas on then Avon's and its still bad..
