  1. hmm sounds like the temp sensor has done something maybe that was faulty too and something else but as i have never used vcds i dont understand that picture you gave before if you could get it plugged into a skoda machine i would understand totally... tbh they can take a while to get to 90 because of how the diesels run like many people complain that they have never heard their fans kicked in its because they just dont get that hot.. erm really not sure wont be long before someone who knows more comes a log like tech1e! he is always a great help!
  2. thanks! i might have to do it more just for the looks really but then i will probably want to start getting all the pipes around it changed to match... could be a downward spiral for my bank account.. :(
  3. exactly that and normally you will find a lot of dirt under them if you have ocd like me it has to be cleaned! haha
  4. ahh i see! always wondered what it did! haha does it have the same principles on diesels or just petrol's?
  5. amazing how just switching that pipe around improves the looks! and what does the extra earthing actually do?
  6. oh and also i have some white leds to fit in my footwell should be doing this tomorrow but will be going off the headlining light rather than the door courtesy light wires at the control unit this was a right pain last time so ill try to take some pictures when i do it and im thinking of buying this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/150826748800?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_3290wt_1344 have spoken to the seller and sent him over the wiring diagram for the skoda sat nav and he said it will work fine so that way i can have a aux input without loosing my cd changer!
  7. so its been a VERY long time since i last updated the car went into the bodyshop to have a couple little bits done but was being done as a sorta spare time job as i had S7 SAC to drive around in but just my luck they became very busy so was sitting around for about 2 months but is now back and immaculate! got it back just over a week ago and straight away i tinted the fog lights not as dark as on my other car but a slight tint i then realised i really need some new bulbs for the fogs so they match all the other lights if anyone knows where to get some from let me know! i then realised that it had been idling intermittently at around 1200-1500rpm that had got worse and had a slight lumpy idle at normal rpm and thanks to tech1e! ive fitted a new accelerator peddle to solve the high idle rpm and have ordered the egr gasket from seat to hopefully solve the lumpy and hesitation a massive thanks to tech1e for helping me diagnose this! today i saw this on jdizzy's topic so have ordered some carbon fiber wrap thinking maybe ill re wrap my vents in carbon fiber what do people think?
  8. 4. remove bolt, wd40.. lower bonnet lift wiper up and frantically wiggle it normally a lot of swearing and it will come off eventually, sometimes put the wiper down and use the palm of your hand to hit the hinge of the wiper
  9. really like the engine cover might do it myself what paint did you use on the tdi?
  10. i might just have to try and make it although what times is it normally?
  11. i would check the reverse light switch first i havent got any pictures of one but if you take the undertray off your car and look at the front of the car on the gearbox there should be a sensor with a little plug if you unplug it and join the two wires in some way and turn the ignition on the reverse lights should come on if they do then you need to replace that switch if they dont then you need to look further into wiring
  12. maybe.. would help if i even knew where prept was.. ahah stupid i know lol but not that into shows but never been to one so you never know might have to go to it
