  1. Some more comments: Do NOT buy the BEA500002. It is a complete cruise control. You need this (Partnumber 3U095351301C ; DealerPrice ~ 40 £): The cruise control stalk can be found cheaper on the internet. The correct MAF for your car is the refurbished with partnumber 074906461BX, Dealerprice ~ 110 £
  2. Agree, try new bulbs first. Yes the Cruise control arm is a complete unit. You can probadly use the same as on a Passat which is about 25 - 30 £ for a original. Remember there is 2 versions. Buy the lastest with tip switch (+/-) at the end of the arm. It is so much better than the old type. The MAF is located below the plastic shield (2 philips screws) on the right in the engine compartment. You just need a standard screwdriver set to replace that one. I can do it in less than 10 mins .... If you are a beginner in car repairs, you will probadly need 45 mins to do the job. Get a haynes workshop manual if you plan to do other repairs. If you are good to search the internet, you will find the original workshop manual (for PC) from Skoda as a "copy". I will not guide you there since it is not legal.
  3. They moves if you got Xenon headlights, and they are supposed to do so when starting. Its a selfcalibration procedure. If they do not move anymore, it is most likely one of the level sensors that is faulty. There is one on the front axle and one on the rear. If the sensor gets faulty or also often the plastic arm going from axle to sensor breaks, the response from the headlight controller is that the headlights do not move anymore (because it does not know the level anymore). Find the sensors and check that they are still connected to the axles. If so, connect VCDS or other diagnostic's and see whats wrong. After you have corrected whatever whats wrong, the controller will need to be alligned with diagnostic tool (many workshops are not aware of this). Cheers Soren
  4. Cheaper MAF sensor Anyhow the MAF you got is a new one. At auth dealers you can get the same part as refurbished part at a 1/3 of the price. It's same quality, only the connector and the housing is reused. Doorlock price is ok. Fitting price is also ok. The price you mention for the Cruisecontrol arm is about 2x normal price. I find the fitting also expensive, at it takes about 45 min's to change it. Ballastprice seems also to be ok. Fitting price should have been approx the half. Almost 140£, meaning they have used ~ 2 hours on this. No way ... If both headlight had the same error on the same time, it's NOT the ballast. If you just see some blinking mostly from cold start, it is your bulb's that are worn.
  5. There is a similar topic on skodacommunity.de The lastest reports there says that now people are getting the problems solved. It seems that there is a bad series of seat sensors. Some german's has now got their seat underbody changed as a complete unit (sensors, motors etc) and now it is working. From this it does not seem to be the seat control module that is failing.
  6. Yes, through the seats following the original cabling for the seat. Power from the fuse box with wires under the carpet. Took me 6 hours to install, but maybe I am slow.
  7. I doubt you know anything about steering wheel clock_spring's ..... It will for sure not unwind.
  8. Sorry but I don't have a picture on stock. But it is very similar to the pictures posted with the Ultraleds. I will take one in the one of the next days. So far no problem with overheating or anything. I had overheating problems with the sidelights (see my sidelight topic here on briskoda.net). But again I guess the BA15 socket is far better regarding heat than the small w5w socket. But as with any other ebay item which has origin in far east, I guess guarantee is a city in china.
  9. Hi B777XWX, So far I am very pleased with these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1156-382-PY21W-XENON-WHITE-CANBUS-27-LED-BULBS-DRL-/280736475615?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item415d32a9df#ht_2136wt_1361 Fullfill all 3 requirements you have (mine is the same). Modifying with load resistors or dummy filament bulbs are also not my cup of tea.
  10. I am using the Xtrons headrest in my Superb. Kids are satisfied which is the most important thing for me. Nothing to remove from the car when parked. No cables in the cabin. The downside is the design, which could be better. But what to expect for 180£ incl wireless headphones. The screen and playback quality is fine. Look for a ebay seller named "Blacksilvertech". I had good support from them and they deliver very fast.
  11. I bought them from a ebay seller named "auto-teile-tuning24". This is the actual item: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-x-Can-Bus-Standlicht-5-SMD-LED-T10-W5W-Weis-12V-/120756375894?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_77&hash=item1c1da41156#ht_2970wt_1361 Conclusion: Stay away !!! Really a pity because they had a great appearance.
  12. Must admit that I have gone back to the orig bulbs !!! The ebay LEDs burned out after 4000 km ...... Grrrr
  13. The Facia can not be bought alone. It is a part of the Columbus. A columbus is not just a columbus. Example: Columbus from Octavia does not fit into Superb aso. You will need a Superb Columbus, forget all about changing the facia unless you a defective spare unit.
  14. I was looking at those too. I would expect them to have less light output, since they are only 18 smd's instead of the 27 smd from Ultra. If you give it a try, do not hesitate to post pictures here
  15. Was the DPF light on in the instrument cluster ? If not it was not DPF regeneration.
  16. Why not use the original roofbars ?? I use them on my Combi, but I know they are also available for the Salon. I have combined it with VW's bike carriers and they are excellent. The bike stands better than on the Thule.
  17. I disagree on the Mondeo. Had an MY 2010 for a few weeks (rental car) and very often I needed to move my eyes to the wheel to find the buttons. On the Superb I can do it all without looking at the stalk ... and that was from day 1.
  18. Seems that the discount code has expired :S Is there a new code available ?
  19. Ok, thats sad. Hope a new valve will sort it out for you.
  20. Typically both your braking lights are burnt or you have a faulty brake pedal switch. Probadly the last ... So .. check your braking lights ?
  21. Strange ... A UK seller that only ships to Australia. Huh ...
