BRILLIANT! Now how do I make that my avatar (is that what they call it?)

A teaching colleague of mine, a chemist, used to blame the experiment. He got a bit concerned when a kid wrote up his account of the experiment for homework stating that "a foul smell was given off", and wondered how many kids wrote something similar for their GCSEs, and whether they failed.

I used to be a teacher. Fart and walk away - the kids will blame each other!

It gets worse.

I sometimes fart when I sit down too. I put it down to old age.

I remember my first motorbike test, 41 years ago. I believe these days the examiner follows you on another bike and keeps in contact via a radio fitted in the helmet. Back then you basically rode a rectangular course - keep turning left - and the examiner walked around it spotting you at particular moments, making sure you were giving all the proper hand signals (no indicators on bikes back then), and waving you down to issue instructions. "On the next circuit, I shall step into the road. That is the signal for you to make an emergency stop." Well my brakes weren't so good. I didn't actually hit him, but he did have to make a dive for the hedge/ And I do know, for the pedants amongst us - Graham, he wouldn't have actually said 'emergency stop', that's not the official terminology, but I can't remember the exact words.

Had a few waves in North Norfolk in recent days. Think they must be tourists. ps ... I seem to have been downgraded - the cheque's in the post, honest!

Exactly, and I suspect that rear door handle and tyre case are dummies just to add to the disguise - I think the door will continue to open as it does at present.

Twice had a sensor problem/limp mode on my CR170. First time I was close to the dealers and took it straight there; they kept it overnight to diagnose the problem and I had to get public transport home. Second time (about 6 months later) I limped home and called Skoda Assist; bloke came out and plugged in his computer and fixed it in half an hour. No trouble since. 54000 miles and counting - no other problems. Interestingly I'm sure the motor has significantly 'loosened up' in the last 5000 miles or so, and I seem to be getting smoother performance and better fuel consumption..

Just curious - has anybody remapped a CR170, and with what results?
