  1. Hi, I had used an old thread and posted in there but nobody replied. My exhaust control system light came on on Saturday after leaving the car overnight at work. It seems to be running fine, with no noticeable loss of power, smells, noises etc. I plugged in my STS and there were no faults found. The light went off on Sunday morning, but then came back on on Sunday night. Any help would be great! Thanks
  2. I left my VRS at work overnight, collected it last night and noticed the "Control system for exhaust" light was on. I've driven the car a few times over the last 24 hours and it seems fine, although the light is still on. I've got an STS which I plugged in and looked for faults, however none were found. Any ideas?
  3. Picked mine up from the RM depo this morning as I wasn't in yesterday to recieve it. I'll send mine over tonight after work

  6. Is there any chance I can take advantage of this? I've not been on long and I've not been able to get online. I'll also be buying FREEDOM. Please let me know. Cheers
  7. Sorry to barge in here, but if I were to buy the Connects2 lead mentioned above for my SE, would it be fitted under the passanger seat or behind the H/U? Thanks Liam
  8. Looks awesome, I'd love to see some sort of "As seen on TopGear" sticker in the window
  9. I know there are some on Ebay but I'm not sure whether they're genuine, a lot cheaper though.
  10. I had aerotwins on my Clio for 2 years and they looked like new when I sold the car. The first day I picked up my VRS I went to Halfords and bought some, great buy imo.

  12. Sorry to bump an old thread, but if I order this to replace the peeling gearstick insert on my VRS, how do you remove and fit the new insert? Liam
  13. When just after cleaning your engine bay, you're filling up your washer bottle for the first time without realising how small it is, and the innevitable overflow occurs, ruining your work.
  14. ok cheers guys I'll see what Skoda say, it's under warrenty with them.
  15. I picked up my VRS this week, and I've noticed that sometimes as I come off the throttle and put it into Neutral/depress the clutch, the throttle seems to be sticking slightly as the idle will be slightly higher than usual, if I then press/lift the throttle from underneath it goes back to normal idle. Any ideas please as to how it can be fixed? I do have warrenty if it's a problem that needs to be looked at properly. Thanks Liam
  16. My insurance is £1900 on my SE VRS, that's with 2 years no claims having driven since a few weeks after turning 17. I need the car for uni so I don't mind paying it, could do with it being cheaper though. I tried SwiftCover last night for a quote and they wouldn't insure me :|
  17. My insurance is £1913 fully comp with 2 years no claims guys. I'm with Admiral on a multicar policy, we did have 3 cars on the policy but my Dad recently acquired a company car so now we only have 2 on the policy. This is irrelevent dude as I am now the proud owner of an SE VRS Absolutely made up, cannot wait to collect it, had to travel nearly 5 hours to see it mind you! Cheers for the advice by the way
  18. Have you not tried ringing someone from yellow pages who can get into the car for you?
  19. Insurance for it standard is £1900, which I don't mind paying as it's my car for travelling to uni dailly. Is it much more remapped? By the way the 6k is for the car, I have 2k on the side for the insurance.
  20. Hi guys, I'm after a VRS and I just missed out on an SE yesterday :( I've thought that as I'm 19 I should maybe go a bit cheaper (6k budget) and save the money, possibly get a remap etc. I've seen this car but wanted your oppinions: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201109381042125/sort/priceasc/usedcars/maximum-age/up_to_7_years_old/price-to/7000/engine-size-cars/1-7l_to_1-9l/maximum-mileage/up_to_80000_miles/model/fabia/make/skoda/radius/100/page/2/postcode/wa89pf?logcode=p Thanks Liam
  21. Good read mate Car looks awesome by the way!
  22. If you can, push the connection box and the bulk of the wiring upwards, downwards, sidewards or wherever there is a gap. I fit stereos pretty much everyday and every single car has a space for this. Use a screwdriver to push wires back and make sure you don't pull out the aerial connection.
