With reference to the display fault on my Bolero, The dealers have had the vehicle since Monday, carried out diagnostic tests etc, have also contacted their technical helpdesk who remotely logged in and carried out their own checks. The software was updated again (weather there was another update, or not correctly done as the previous dealer ?) The dealer then ran the audio unit and luckily the screen blanked out whilst they were testing. They were advised to replace the screen whilst the fault was occurring, as soon as the new screen was fitted the display worked correctly. My screen was put into the showroom vehicle an although sound could be heard there was no display function. So I now have had the screen replaced again. It's only been a few hours, but I will keep you posted if any faults happen. Cheers

I've had a blank screen,with sound. The control unit has been replaced along with the screen. Has now done the same again. Going back in Monday (for a week)

It's the DR400G HD version 2. So a little old now. A friend has a blackvue dual set up, very tidy. I'm not sure about quality and capacity, I'll ask him and PM you with his answers.

I've got a blackvue with the smart power box, 32gb card gives me 3 days recording, that's with parking, normal, and event mode. Video quality great day and night

Where abouts are you ? I was also using Platinum, Purchased the car new from them, but had a few problems and am now going to be using Westover in Salisbury. It's pretty much the same distance to both for me. There is an address/contact details in the dealers section.

It's back with me again, now working, was told the tech hadn't read all the instructions ! And had to contact tech support to finish the job ! I don't know if that included to oily hand prints on the door handles ! Went to a brand new dealership today to have a nose and a chat and I think I'll give them a try for further work !

Mine's back in tomorrow. Do you think the wrong unit could've been fitted ? Or a programming issue ?

Well it's back, Now with no voice control, no Bluetooth and doesn't recognise the iPod connected through the mdi port ! ! Cracking job P******* Skoda ! !

So as the title says, the audio unit (bolero) would not switch on, the analogue clock froze for a few minutes, then the screen when black for a further 2 minutes, no sound then started up with sound. Presets were lost along with the station logos. Dealer had the vehicle for the morning and on collection was told a new Multi Media Unit was on order due to corruption. Still under warranty (£650 and 3 1/2 hours to fit) Just a little heads up.

Had the full bonnet covered on the Fabia, I was able to remove the trim which held the badge so the film was laid end to end and the trim refitted afterwards. How did this person get around the badge on the Octavia ? ?

I've got GTechniq C5 wheel armour on the alloys. No chemicals required to clean the wheels and no effort. Surprisingly easy. And come up gleaming everytime.

I have the same as Mence, the gloss looks great new, but can see it attracting a fair few scratches ! !

As it says really, is it possible to programme the vehicle with VCDS so the DRL dims when indicating as the Audis do ? Thanks

So with the bad fog around today it required the fog lights to be used, front and rear. So the rear only has the offside, which I know is correct but have seen a bulb in the nearside. Is there a way to have them both on ? To make the rear look more symmetrical ! Slight case of the ocd's ! ! Thanks peeps

Yes, Steve in Portsmouth fitted a clear protection to the bonnet of my Fabia vrs, great stuff. Took about 1 1/2 hours. Had the complete bonnet done as I didn't want a line across it ! ! Couldn't find anyone in my area who could do a whole bonnet. Really nice chap.
