IV se-l Vs sportline
Starting to look again at new cars and about the £40k threshold for mega tax. I still like the idea of a iv to make use of cheaper running and a good stepping stone to full ev. Up to now I had been looking at the sportline plus 190tsi as I really like the styling and spec it offers. So I had assumed that I would go with the same spec with the hybrid system. However, with DCC being the same ride height regardless of spec, how do the 2 trims compare? I'd be adding stuff like virtual cockpit and area view so what am I missing with the cheaper car?

Rear Springs for Towing
After a fully loaded trip at the weekend which saw my tyres disappearing into the arches I am tempted by a pair of rubber rings. Chuck them in when you know you are going to be carrying a large load and whip them out after. Dose anyone have any experience using them with eibach pro springs?

Spare Wheel Vs Tyre Repair Kit
I have a space saver spare that got use last xmas on a return trip to IOW to see family. Not what you want to be doing at 9pm in December. Managed to limp into the services though so at least had the space to throw tools out the pram. Having just spotted a screw/nail in a rear tyre close to the sidewall I ordered a replacement. I have also ordered a worm kit to keep in the boot and might try it on this tyre as its scrap anyway. Can always chuck a winter wheel on if it fails (or the space saver). As a mountain biker I am well used to using slime tubes and more recently tubeless sealant. has anyone thought about chucking some of that in the tyre before the worm to help it along?

Anti-roll Bars
Yes I agree but take care installing as upgrades tend to adjustable. Different lengths can cause left/right balance issues. Although I believe you can get upgrades that are simply shorter and stiffer than OEM. @Ads230 is that the type that comes with your bar?

Anti-roll Bars
An upgraded rear bar will help with body roll and also help make the front end more pointy. An adjustable one would give you the option to fine tune. Maybe start soft and increase until you find a setting you are happy with. Adding a front bar will help but is a much more complex task and you would still need an upgraded rear bar to match where as the rear can be upgraded on its own in many cases.

Living With A Sportline Plus 272 Hatch
I guess as long as you stay legal and travel times are within personal tolerance all is good. Do your insurance company know?

Living With A Sportline Plus 272 Hatch
What's the speed difference with those tyres? Are you increasing you dial speed to match real speed or always going by the indicated?

Lowering springs
I think DCC should be fine. Not 100% on the cruise. Is it affected by level? Quite a few spring kits lower more at the front or rear depending on the look the company is going for.

Elegance mk3
I swapped my airbag from my 4 spoke to 3 spoke. No issues.

Elegance mk3
No need for coding. I did it with my elegance and worked straight off the bat.

Android Auto Note 9
I've started having issues with my pixel 3 so it's likely to be the wider reported issues with AA.

Skoda Octavia 3 5e5 to Octavia 3 Scout
Taller tyres Stack height of suspension hardware Skid trays Front/rear bumpers Side panels Wings New lights? ...... I looked at it a while back for just the wheel arches. The whole package is linked up. Not cost effective in any way. Far better to swap the whole car out.

retrofit multimedia?
Nothing. Mib1 is fixed to screen size. You will need mib2 head unit and screen.

Engine sounds like a TC auto kicking down when boost comes on, but car is manual
I'd say so. Just try not to boot it in too high a gear. Especially as with the tsi you should be able to reach the speed limit in 3rd with its high rev range. A tdi wouldn't be so accepting with a narrower power/torque band.

definitely the clutch slipping. To prolong it try changing down a gear before accelerating. Many people use the torque of the more powerful engines to accelerate on the motorway without changing down. This is where most of the damage is done. In a higher gear the resistance to rotate is greater making it put more strain on the clutch mating surface.

Car seat: can we fit a Joie ispin safe behind driver seat?
We have a spin 360 that has gone behind the drivers seat on the Octavia no problem. With the extra leg room in the superb you'll be fine.

Ground clearance issue
Maybe go back to the seller?

MOT
They aren't allowed to remove anything so cannot look at the underside of the engine bay. This is noted as under covers fitted. Same as if you have kids seat fitted.

MOT
No need to jump as yet. Many people have reported the same year on year with no issues. Shocks have a tendency to allow oil to pass the seals when under high speed impacts. This is the same for all applications of oil fill dampers. If not excessive it is a sign that your seals are getting lubrication. The trick is to assess what is excessive.

New owner VRS 2018 Android issue.
Any idea what you are expecting with Dev mode? Is there a specific setting within that makes it better with AA?

Help with Android Auto
Sounds very similar to my experience except mine launches 99% of the time. Even with the latest update that has issues. I might try uninstalling and seeing if it works as suggested. I'm on Android 11 beta (pixel 3) so might not work fully.

Cam belt change mileage
This subject has been debated a fair bit. If no chance of warranty cover then it really depends on what you intend for the car. Long term ownership suggests getting it done at a reasonable interval. Maybe set aside £100 a month till you have enough? If getting rid in the next year or so and not too worried about how much retained value you have.... Could get it done at a later date. If any sort of warranty available then get it done as per Skoda UK.

Help with Android Auto
I thought I was fairly up to date with Android knowledge. Didn't know this. Is there any reason to install the app when on Android 10+? Does it give any additional options like the auto start when connected to the car etc. Or does it just work? Whenever family/friends ask about it I always say to install the app and set it up before plugging into the car as it removes the initial setup process and also has a more successful launch rate when plugging in.

Help with Android Auto
What does the phone do when you plug it in? Android has a function where you can set what the usb does at different times. Like charge only, data transfer or live feed. Cant remember what is needed for AA as its been ages since I had to set up a new phone on it but have a play. It should pop up when you plug it in or dig in the settings. Ps. Welcome 😀
