Superb issues...
If the battery's not been coded in it may well not be getting charged correctly, so you may end up with the same issues on a new battery not long after fitting, particularly if you're doing short journeys a lot.

wing mirrors adjust
I've had this on both my kodiaq and superb, I fixed both by levering out the switch and spraying contact cleaner onto the switch connector contacts, only takes five minutes...

Brake pad change with EPB
You don't need to use the test option, once closed (using the app) just test the epb button functions as normal

Brake pad change with EPB
The rears had the notches as mentioned above but after the epb was in service mode the superbs pushed in easily using a wind back tool with a flat adaptor, so no piston rotation (probably teaching you to suck eggs but just make sure your fluid caps off before hand) it may well be different on the MK4 Octavia though or vary between models, my superbs a 272 so identical to the golf r

Brake pad change with EPB
Front pads don't need anything special, just push them in.

Brake pad change with EPB
I've just done my on my 2020 mk3 superb, I used obd11, you don't need a subscription (I don't have one) as there's an app that does it, costs 10 credits each time you use it, once in service mode you then push the piston in as normal, on the superb the piston pushed back in rather than wound in, think you may have issues if you wound it in. Once it's back together use the app to close the epb, mine all worked fine with no issues.

Virtual cockpit trip and mpg counters resetting themselves
I've started to get an issue with my virtual cockpit display on my 2020 superb 272. If I leave the car for a few days the trip computer and all the counters in the overview setting (long term, since refuel, since start) for mpg/distance etc reset to zero. The cars battery seems good, checked with OBD 11 and also at its recent service, things like stop/start are working as normal, I'm a bit stumped. Has anyone had similar? Any ideas on what could be the cause? Cheers

The 280PS Thread
its brilliant on a steady cruise on the motorway (sticking to the limits) but still pretty poor everywhere else, non motorway use is usually around 30mpg or under.

The 280PS Thread
Had my 2020 Superb 272 hatch for 5 months now, now I'm (sort of) over the initial constant desire to take it for random blasts (average of 27mpg over 3.5k miles) I have been pretty impressed with the mpg on my twice weekly commute on the m3/m25, I'm constantly managing over 50mpg whilst on the motorway, which has blown my mind, although by the time I've got through the current traffic coming onto the A3 and booted it a couple of times it'll be down into the low 40's

2020 superb F/L interior lights
I'm convinced my interior lights used to light up when switching off the ignition on my 2020 sportsline plus. Could someone with a similar car please let me know if them not coming on is normal or not, I constantly switch between the superb and my wife's kodiaq but I'm pretty (sort of) certain they used to on both cars! Cheers

Superb 272 dte/dtuk pedal box
I'm starting to get a bit annoyed with the throttle lag on my superb 272 and am looking to get a pedal box, I've seen a few used ones listed on eBay but I'm unsure which is the correct one. If anyone on here has one fitted could you please tell me the 4 digit code for it, there seems to be a few listed for VAG cars but with different codes (mainly 3746 or 3712) just not sure which (if any) is correct. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Superb 272 Kickdown (7Spd DSG)
I should have probably also mentioned my car refuses to kickdown to 2nd at anything above 35ish mph regardless of being in Sport or Drive mode

Superb 272 Kickdown (7Spd DSG)
Thanks for the replys. I think I have to agree with the above, the DSG along with the soft suspension have been disappointing, I'm looking to upgrade the suspension with Koni actives (unfortunately no DCC on my car), but the 7 spd DSG, whilst it works fine when pootling around is prooving frustrating when wanting to press on. the one thing its really good at though is when pulling away from lights, with the 4x4 the thing just takes off. when trying to press on on any back roads is where it all starts to fall apart, I think I need to stop being lazy and start using the paddles a bit more!

Superb 272 Kickdown (7Spd DSG)
Recently bought a 2020 Superb 2.0 tsi 272, with a dq381 7spd box and lately I'm noticing the gearbox doesnt want to kickdown to 2nd for any speed above 35mph, it'll happily grab 3rd but this sets the revs around 3k which doesn't give you the kick you'd be expecting, I can manually shift to 2nd, which is fine, but for those sudden overtaking moments its pretty frustrating as you think its going to take off but you end up sitting there waiting for 4.5k revs to come around. When I first got the car it would kickdown most times but would hold back breifly as if deciding what gear to go for then picking second and going ballistic. Weirdly though, when travelling at higher speeds it'll kickdown to 3rd (from 6th or 7th) pinging the revs to almost 6k, it will do this in most instances without fail. Is this just the way the DSG behaves? do most people just drive them with the paddles in these situations? Cheers

2020 Superb 2.0 4x4 272hp potential purchase
Thanks for that, much appreciated! I'll keep you posted once I've had a bit more time in the car and figured out if I'd like to change anything, I would however like to change the fact I've discovered the DAB stations drop out way too much and my station lists are all over the place, I've a feeling its antenna related after reading about water ingress around the antenna base, so may have to check the connections before I start hassling the dealers who I expect won't be of much help anyhow.......

2020 Superb 2.0 4x4 272hp potential purchase
It only switches on the dash when I open the door, if I press the start button without pressing the brake then everything else turns on, its a bit wierd but not a major issue to be fair. I'd do tha haldex myself but like you I'd be on axle stands and getting the car level would be an issue. Thanks for the vcds offer, not really sure what I'd want to add/change at the moment though, any recommendations? cheers

2020 Superb 2.0 4x4 272hp potential purchase
Thanks for the reply. Think I've discovered what makes it do it, if I get in the car but don't switch anything on the dials come up, if I then get out of the car and lock it they stay on, fairly sure this shouldn't happen but at least I know what not to do! Dsg is 381 7 speed so according to Skoda, service every 80k, I'll most likely get this done a lot sooner, cars Feb 2020 with 24k miles with 2 years approved used warranty so I'm not overly concerned with this right now. For it's haldex, It's off to the Phirm in Camberley who definitely seen to know their stuff, so am fairly confident it'll have the necessary work done, although I'll mention seals/new bolt when I drop it off.

2020 Superb 2.0 4x4 272hp potential purchase
Finally got the car today, had a good drive back home from Milton Keynes (60 or so miles) and considering what I got it for and how good a condition it's in, I'm very, very happy with it! Goes like stink but due to all the 50 limits on the M1/M3 actually managed an average of over 43mpg for most of the journey too! It turns out the service history is all good with the Haldex being serviced (oil change only or so I think ) at 3 and a bit years/20k miles and also as part of the service just before I collected it (24k miles). So only a year and a bit between oil changes. I've already got it booked in to my local independent to have the haldex done again as I want to make sure the strainers cleaned. Also, its had both lower arms done and it's plugs/filters have all been done along with a 3 new Hankook Evo S3 tyres, I argued over them not replacing them all as a set (being 4 wheel drive) but they wouldn't budge as the one remaining is under 2mm tread depth difference to the new ones. I'll be getting it replaced with a matching Hankook in the next few days anyhow. One thing I have noticed though is the VC display stayed lit with the dials displayed after I switched off and locked it, I thought they may go off after awhile but didn't seem to want to. I had to unlock it and switch the ignition on and off again, then the usual car animation came up on the dash and turned off a few seconds after locking as you'd expect. It may will have been something I did but seemed a bit odd, anyone know if there's a known issue with the VC display staying on? Cheers

2020 Superb 2.0 4x4 272hp potential purchase
Thanks for the reply. Car looks really good, I've always liked the white with black touches, I very nearly bought a MK3 vrs in the same colour, that's a car I regret letting get away. I think your right on the reliability side of things, I've read plenty of horror stories about kodiaqs but other than a dodgy passenger side wing mirror, mines been rock solid (saying that's probably tempting fate), but it still feels and drives life a new car after 35k miles. So I'm guessing the Superb should be similar, as they share a lot of the same parts like gearbox and 4x4 system. Anyhow, here's a pic of the potential purchase, it's pretty much the opposite of yours!!

2020 Superb 2.0 4x4 272hp potential purchase
If you don't mind me asking dooge, how long have you had your superb? Any issues? I guess there's a fair few Skoda's going around with patchy history for DSG's, haldex's etc due to the dealers lack of knowledge or communication with owners. The car should have a full service and a haldex service (if not already done) plus a clean MOT before I collect it, so I guess it'll be about as good as I can hope for. I'll probably still end up either taking it to an independent to get the haldex done properly or doing it myself anyway! I've got very little faith in main dealers doing things as well as I'd like them to be done!

2020 Superb 2.0 4x4 272hp potential purchase
If the car was £10k not the £21k the dealer is asking (does look a good price compared to what else is about though) I wouldn't be bothered at all about the haldex but if the worst case scenario happened I'd be facing a hefty bill on top of the hefty car price. Also, I've got do idea how the car was driven previously, judging by it's condition which is pretty much immaculate I'd imagine it's been well cared for with the previous owner owning it for nearly 4 years, but you never know, for all I know they could have used launch control on every outing, thrashed the crap out of it but cleaned it every time they got home. I guess I need to stop over thinking it and wait until I drive the thing and see all the paperwork before I pass judgement.

2020 Superb 2.0 4x4 272hp potential purchase
Thanks for posting those Ootohere, so there's potentialy the Haldex, plugs and a brake fluid change overdue, the plugs and brake fluid don't overly concern me but the Haldex could be a potential issue if it fails and I need to claim under warranty, could be costly! Anyone know if these are an issue, I've got a 2022 4x4 kodiaq which I had the Haldex done at just over 2 years/30k by an independant and the strainer was pretty gunked up so I can imagine being an older car (less mileage mind) this could be in a similar state.
