Accessories - Has anyone used https://www.skodapartsireland.ie/ for Skoda Spares?
Ive not biught from them yet, but I was also looking I to it. The accessories brochure shows the fitted price of them. It's still too much, but it would not hurt to ask the dealer what the supply only price is.

Kessy keyless locking
Nope. With the kessy, you don't need to take the key out of your pocket. There is a sensor on the door handle so when you touch the door handle to open the door, the doors unlock and you can open it. To lock the door, you just touch the outside of the handle when the doors are closed. This works on the drivers and passenger front doors. I'm not sure on the rears.

PCP deals
The pcp deal that was going around when I ordered mine at the start of sept was a £750 contribution. The Id4 was the same offer as well. Looking on the skoda website, it's now at £500. It's down in the Model page, the finance and offers only shows the lease packages.

Heated seats
It would depend when exactly the car was ordered. My car is a late 2017 built (so a 2018 model) Sportline and when I was speccing it up, the heated steering wheel was not an option. I'm don't think it was even on the L&K at the time either.

Delivery lead-time
No, the UK has never had the 230v plug socket. The EU superb can have it as well. Either they would not sell enough to warrant making it with the plug, or more likely, because of how the UK plug is made, with the cord at the bottom, it's not practical compared to the EU plug that has the plug out of the back. It's annoying that the RHD enyaq does not have one of those dash coinbox things as I was hoping to put the inevitable charger cards in there. The ID4 and Peugeot apparently also have a small golvebox because of the fusebox location. You'd think that they would put the fuse box in a better place to begin with really, or make the dash large enough so that it is not a problem for RHD markets, but nevermind. There is more than enough space elsewhere so I'll live.

Can’t get along with the “smart” charging feature
Was any charging timer set on the charger as well? I've been reading on another forum about a similar problem with the Id3. From what I've read it's either one or the other, but as the Id3 charge timing is rubbish, then to use the one on the charger instead. As its the same software underneath, it could be the same thing.

Future battery upgrades
They are designed to be swapped out if needed. Whether they change the battery size/chemistry over the life of the enyaq is just guessing. The guarantee covers you if there is more than a 30% loss of capacity over the 8 years. Batteries degrade over time, and the management systems in the car, along with how you treat the battery (rarely go above 80%, don't use fast charges often, etc) decides how well the battery survives. Tesla model s batteries have fared quite well over the years. Hopefully the enyaq will be similar.

Close to ordering
The crystal face grill uses the same plastic as the headlights, so it should be more than good enough. I've never had a headlight break in over 20 years of driving. I think it's either on or off with and controlled with the headlights. I've ordered my Enyaq with it, but it's not turning up until next year. The horizontal line may come on with the daytime running lights, but someone who already has it will be able to tell you more. With the standard grill, I'd hope some aftermarket options appear over time, but what they end up being is anyone's guess. Maybe just a body colour vinyl wrap of the grill would be good

Enyaq - rear USB sockets not working
Have you checked the fuse? Otherwise I'd get the dealer to look at it as if they are fitted then they should work.

Placing order today!
You can just download the podpoint app. You don't need to have bought one of their chargers to use them. Before choosing a charger, I would do a bit of research. Where is it going to go on your house? Tethered or untethered? What size do you want? The podpoint us quite large, and there are smaller ones around and more stylish ones too. I'm looking at either the Zappi or the Andersen. The Andersen is over £1k, but it looks the nicest, it has neat cable storage and it will look better where it will have to go on my house, so I am leaning towards that. There is also some research to look into with the install like the wiring from the meter to the consumer unit may need upgrading to cope and the fuse that is next to the meter may need upgrading too.

Install Radio logos all at once
The radio logos are available to install from the skoda update portal. https://updateportal.skoda-auto.com/ A quick you tube video shows you how to upload them https://youtu.be/rpxge-V6IPc

2022 BMW iX review by Tim Rodie on Youtube.
I just saw an advert for this before the Bond film. Man, that has been truly fallen from the top of the fugly tree and hit every branch on the way down. I guess they're not aiming it at European tastes, more the likes of the US, China and the Middle east.

Any info on the VRS ?
When I placed my order for the sportline 80 (I'm also replacing a Superb 280 4x4), I was told that the lead time for the 80x was 12 weeks, the 80 was 20 weeks and the 60 was 30 weeks. While I'd love the the 80x, £3k extra for 60 odd bhp is a bit too rich for me. Also, the enyaq interior is much nicer than the id4 ( the non gtx id4 interior is really horrible. A brown dashboard with stitching to make it look nothing like leather. Mmmmmmmm), so I don't blame you for sticking with the Skoda.

Any info on the VRS ?
I've read that the vrs is probably going to be next year, but also by my local dealer that its not going to happen. I'll take the dealer with a pinch of salt though. A fully specced sportline 80x is very close in price to the vw id4 gtx max, which had the 300bhp twin motor set up that the vrs will have and is fully loaded. Maybe look at that as well.

Spare wheel?
No, there is mot an option for a spare wheel on the enyaq. There is nowhere to put it. The VW id4 has a spare wheel option (£400) and it basically just takes up half the boot. The enyaq tyres look like they are self sealing according to the brochure, so I'd guess a spare tyre is not needed unless you get a total blow out.

flappy paddles
My pre facelift sportline 280 has the flappy paddles. I've messed around with them a few times, but I can count on one hand the times I've used them for a reason over the four years I've had car. Its easier to just flick the gearstick to sport and let that take over. If the car did not come with them, I would not miss them at all.

3 pin charging cable for occasional use
Does anyone have the ability for 400v 3 phase charging? I was looking at what lead to get as i want a multi voltage charger for the enyaq. I would need a 3 pin plug for emergencies, 400v 3 phase for charging at work (I've realised that I have easy access to 32a 400v red sockets), and if possible a 230v camping plug. The cost from skoda would be £645 for the iv combi adaptor, which comes with a 3 pin plug and a 32a blue camping plug. The 400v 3 phase red adaptor for it is £180, and a 32a to 16a blue plug reducer is around £20 to £30. I wonder if anyone has seen other solutions that are cheaper for the same thing or doesnt involve 2 or 3 different cables.

Front grille ACC cover
There should not be any difference. Skoda would only make the ones they would absolutely have to make. The only change will be the printing on the cover, so std or L&k would be the only difference.

Servicing and regular maintenance - main dealer or independent?
I don't know where you are in North London, but you have Trans City autos in Walthamstow. Its one of the last of the pre vw skoda dealers still around, so it's a main dealer. I'm not sure about any independents in that area though.

Crystal Face
True, some manufacturers are going overboard with light signatures; but to be fair, the current draw on all the leds in a modern car is probaby less than a pair of halogen headlights.
-
Crystal Face
I'm open to different views, and when I saw the crystal face at the launch I thought the same. Watching some YouTube videos of it is changing my mind, especially with a sportline black grill surround. The cover is the same plastic as the light lenses, and they would not be a cheap fix either, but I've never had to replace a headlight lens in 24 years of driving. The main negative for me is that it is a gimmick, but it does add interest to an otherwise massive bit of plastic. I am unsure, and I'd rather see one in person, but I doubt I will for a while, unless I'm the one to go for it

Crystal Face
Has anyone ordered an Enyaq with the crystal face grill? I like it and the kids think it looks great, but I am unsure and I would like to know what others think of it before I tick the box. (Also its over £500 l, but it gives a different look to the slab of black plastic it replaces)

testdriving a Superb 3 - any particular points to look for?
I'd check the brake fluid history, the air con; especially as the car has been sitting there for ages (it's over £100 for a regas of that system, even from an independent), if its the 6 speed dsg, then the oil of that, as that needs to be changed at a similar milage to the haldex. It may have a timing chain instead of a cambelt, do you may br alright with that. Also ask for a petrol fill up as what's in the tank will be rotten( to the point of maybe a fuel filter change)

Columbus Map updates
Ideally, no. If you are leaving the car to update, it's probably better to keep an eye on it. Also the radio units tend to switch themselves off after 30 mins if left alone. The update only really takes around 40 mins, so I tend to do it on my drive to work and just go without music.

The 'new' green numberplates.
I've seen some of the middle ones with the union flag and GB/UK on them. I'm not sure if they were made like that or if it's stickers as it was in passing.
