  1. Picked up the new Yeti today having had a Fabia MK1 TDi Elegance for the last 6 years Soooooooo chuffed! As ever, Mitchell Skoda at Ellesmere Port were outstanding. I can only hope this car will be as reliable. Looking forward to sharing stories, hints, tips etc Chip
  2. 2 x Pasty Boy Badges Was going to fit these to my Mk1 Fabia but now got my new Yeti. £10 inc free postage
  3. Official Skoda Badge - Part No 1U0 853 621 Fits many different models £10 inc free postage
  4. No it's a hatchback. You can see it in the classifieds now
  5. Hi There Got one for sale. Kenwood KDC-BT73 DAB. It's currently working in my Fabia but I'm selling it as I'm getting a Yeti in 2 weeks. Dead easy to fit and I use a windscreen mounted aerial that came with it. Had hardly any drop outs Chip
  6. Ordered my new Yeti SE L Drive to replace my aging Fabia. Can't wait! Looking forward to all your advice here on this forum as I did on the Fabia Mk1 one. Also, will try and help anyone if I can - once I've got to grips with my Yeti!! Best regards......Chip
  7. 2005 Tdi Elegance in Sahara Beige (54 plate) 115k with Good Service History. Age related marks and some bodywork dents. (See Photos for full details) Car has VRS Alloys that would benefit from a refurb. DAB Radio fitted (may sell separately) Cruise control, heated seats and rear parking sensors. Car runs very well and doesn't use a drop of oil. Any trial. Goes for MoT on 19th but I don't expect any surprises Sensible offers considered around £900 Any questions, please ask or PM thanks...Chip
  8. Thanks for that. Thought you had to be a Freedom Member to post
  9. Just done a deal on a Yeti SE L Drive 1.2 DSG and been offered £650 for my Fabia 1.9 tdi Elegance. It's done 115k and mechanically sound having been regularly serviced. It doesn't use a drop of oil and runs sweet. There is a bit of bodywork that needs sorting out (courtesy of swmbo) and its got VRS wheels that would benefit from a refurb but that's it really. I know I could get more if I sold the parts or did a bit of tarting up but is it worth the time and effort? Anyone out there got the time or space to do it so I know it's going to a good home? Chip
  10. Passed a milestone on the speedo recently. Still not using a drop of oil
  11. Hi There, read this thread with great interest due to a fuel gauge issue myself. (nowhere near as fraught as yours). Have you got it sorted?
  12. Ok Thnx for the info! V useful. I'll clean the sender and see how I get on....
  13. Hi Cheshire cat Sorry for the delay in replying What happens is - the fuel gauge works fine until just before it gets to the red line. Still works fine so long as not stuck in traffic and on tickover. If so, then the fuel gauge drops to zero, red warning light comes on and 'miles left' goes to zero.
  14. Hmmmmm never done it before though. Nice to know I'm not alone :|
  15. Got a problem with the rear hatch button. I have to press it at least 3 times before it will release the lock mechanism to open up. Just started to happen in conjunction with the fuel gauge issue I've just posted. could it be electric related or just coincidence? Chip
  16. The last 2 times that my fuel gauge has got towards a 1/4 tank left as soon as I'm in traffic and ticking over the gauge drops to zero and the fill up warning light comes on. As soon as I start driving along the gauge recovers to normal. Any ideas? Electrical? Thnx in advance...Chip
  17. Has anyone out there got some tips on wrapping the dash air vents? I've tried in the past but had particular trouble with the thins slot areas where the wheel controls are - it wouldn't stick very well Any help would be greatly appreciated Chip
  18. Anyone got any working ones spare? Chip
  19. Just waiting for my new unit to arrive. Can anyone advise on the use of the blue/white wire pin A5 on the harness. I've read somewhere that this is not needed on non vag units and it's best to disconnect it to prevent battery drain. Is this correct? Chip
  20. I had this problem with the glow plug light and the cruise not working. All I did we put a new set of rear brake light bulbs in and hey presto! Maybe worth a cheap solution first. Chip
  21. Well it seems I was wrong. A splitter won't work I've been told. What's the consensus regarding keeping OEM look with DAB box or a single din?
