Cant vouch for the 1.6 diesel engine but when i got a tow bar fitted at my local skoda dealer in northampton i spent the best part of £1200. Ive got the 2 liter diesel. I dont know if having a 3rd party to supply and fit a tow bar and electrics would affect the warrenty. Your local skoda dealer should be able to advise you on that.

Ive been looking for 1 for mine for ages. I'm intrested if there is 1 one in print.

Engine management light is on again. Has any one got access to vagcom at all ? im in Wellingborough.

Ive had mine remapped. Mines front wheel drive. Personally i think the 4x4 version should be able to cope with the extra power and toque going through it. I would use a well known company for when you get your car re mapped.

Here’s one. As I had the garage flush out the coolant the other day as I had to put some green coolant ij. The warning light had come on at 1 am. If the car is on hi it’s nice and warm. If I turn it down to 24 it feels like there’s cold air comeing in. many one got any ideas at all on that ?

I’m fairly sure I’ve seen a bag in mine unless I’m starting to go mad ! Mine doesn’t have the mit silikat printed on the header tank though !

Does any one know what symptoms to expect if the bag in the coolant bursts? I’m fairly sure mine has one but can’t see the mit slek (I think) on the header tank. if it has exploded is it covered by the cars warranty ? ive got the 2 litre diesel.

Thats true. Normally get the pump and belt changed at the same time.

Does any one know what skoda suggests on changeing the timeing belt and water belt, on mileage or time wise? From what i can make out it's 140k or 5 years. Can some one conferm it at all please? Mines the 2 Liter diesel.

I dont know what the code is at the moment as the car is at the dealer in Colne. Normally use the dealer at Northampton.

Heres one for you guys. I had the car remapped earlyer this year. Only lately in the last month / 6 weeks the engine managment light has come on a couple of times. Had the car read the other week. Report came back something to do with the NOx sensor. Does any one think that that the remap has some how affected the Nox sensor? If its the sensor that is playing up does any one know if 1 the remap would / will affect the warrenty 2 if it's not covered by warrenty does any one know how much it'll cost to replace at all? Mine is a 19 plate & a 2 liter diesel.

the fm isnt bad.i normally have the radio on dab. It still pick up tmc.

Any one got any ideas on why the tmc don’t work? It hasn’t work for a bit ! :/

Does any know what skoda says about having the diesel fuel filter and the Pollen filter changed at a time or mileage interval??

I cant remember what the dealer charges for a spare wheel kit. Mine doesent have a spare wheel kit. All ive got is the gunk and a pump that enjoys distroying fuses.

Ive ran skoda's since 20132. Cant fault them! On the gearbox ( cant vouch for the vrs though!) I'd try and find out if the gearbox has been serviced. 6 speed wet clutch need to be done every 40,000 miles.

havent replaced them yet.

Mines done the same. Mine is only 18 months old as well!
