If the timing chain don't need doing then maybe coilovers could be the way to go,money saved etc Its a great car spoiled by the ride height If I get this right the car could be a long term keeper

I'll have to re-read the flyer. Ive had 3 mk2's and still get correspondance for the other 2 That would bring the price down a fair bit

I got the flyer from Skoda not long back Timing chain was quoted as 3 years The springs were a luxury to take the pain away for paying for something I couldn't actually see I am fed up of the huge wheel arch gap. If lowered and looking the way I want it,Id likely keep it another year or 2

Car is white Monte tech 13 plate 35000 miles Car needs timing chain and brakes doing all round While the wheels are off I tinkered with the idea of having it dropped on 40mm h+r springs,but not sure if shocks will take it - adding to the expense Not only that I would have to swap insurers, my current one won't accept mods Seeing as all this work will cost upwards of a grand I did wonder if the money could be put into a newer vehicle Polo gti would be top,but no satnav puts me off The other option is do bugger all and keep the money I do like the Monte and only do 6k a year (high miles came from previous owner) Any ideas or advice?
