  1. If I'm not mistaken, this should be it. They called symphony ambient lights https://a.aliexpress.com/_Ew6I32m
  2. Bro to be honest mainly because of the extra 800 or so euros I decided to go for a good quality set of ambient lighting from aliexpress. This one has the door led strips, dashboard, door pockets, interior door handles and footwell lights. These are all LEDs and not the cheap "fibre optic" looking like lights. They are incredibly easy to install and it only cost me about 90 euros.
  3. Hi guys, been trying to figure it out reading your posts - to get the animation on locking as well we just need an EC BCM or there is something else? I realised my BCM hardware no is CG but than the software no is DQ, so which one is the actual BCM number?
  4. Hi guys and girls, was just wondering if anyone replaced their DQ250 (TSI) flywheel recently? UK ideally. Just wondering what’s the cost and weather there’s aftermarket or original part that will last more than 100k miles? Thanks
  5. I’ll be honest with you , I have no idea what it is but I would be very curious to compare my coding with a original FL coding. The guys that did the upgrade on my car said that I should’ve had both unlock and lock animation and they will try to send me the coding. Still waiting. Anyway, this is my BCM
  6. I had the front end and rear end done, everything (apart from the nonsense trim across the boot). Unfortunately only the unlock animation works that’s why I was hoping someone got a copy of the code to have the animation for locking as well. It seems though some people believe there’s no coding so I’m a bit confused
  7. Definitely works as my superb is 2016 and I fitted the latest BCM last july. I will do an OBDeleven scan tomorrow and send u the part number
  8. BCM was replaced otherwise matrix headlights and facelift tail lights wouldn’t work. It has to be extra coding
  9. Can anyone send a copy of the rear taillights code, mines are only doing the animation when unlock doors and I seen a superb doing the animation when locking doors as well. Maybe someone with factory facelift. Thank you
  10. So I am romanian, which helped cause I’ve been driving quite a few times to Romania before but I live in UK. This time, yes I went specially for this but the guys prepared everything in advance, (buying the parts (control modules and steering wheel). With that the car was ready within 24 hours. Usually they can fit everything within 12 ish hours but there’s a couple of days waiting for the swap codes from VW in CZ. I believe the guys got someone working for VW in CZ, that’s why they can do this and so quick
  11. So included in price was BCM, headlight range control module, gateway, new steering wheel (including control module) and new radar as the old pre facelift radar doesn’t work with the new BCM. Fitting and Rewiring tail lights, fitting and coding control modules, Rewiring fog lights, rewiring new radar, new wires for camera to the radar and camera to the BCM.
  12. Thanks, yes no problem, any info I have I’ll be happy to share. So after 3 months of useless conversations with a company somewhere north of London, I realised they’re not gonna be able to do it as they didn’t know much about the process, so I found this guy in Bucharest Romania and after contacting him he explained everything to me, every step. Not sure if I’m allowed to share company names but if I do, I’m happy to share the info. (Videos are very helpful 😉) So I bought from here the headlights, bumper (was lucky enough to find on ebay a bumper with absolutely everything in it - foglights, plastics, trims, wiring, headlight washers, everything) . Meanwhile I bought a camera as well as I found it much cheaper on ebay (brand new). I had the tail lights as well (bought them from CZ) they are cheaper than UK (thank you brexit). Everything else was ordered by the guys in Bucharest. Cost - I payed about 250£ per headlight, bumper was 700£ (if lucky to find it intact as breakers will sell bumper parts separately as they make more money). Camera was 215£ but unfortunately I didn’t get the one with part number ending in C (latest one) because the guy from the company in UK didn’t know it’s better to get the latest version). I had to replace the windscreen as mine didn’t have the camera bracket, I should’ve fit the windscreen for facelift model 2020- but even though I gave the guy that fitted the windscreen the vin number from a brand new superb, he still fitted the windscreen for the pre facelift model (old camera bracket). Luckily the guys from Bucharest were smart enough to 3D print an extra bracket to hold the 2Q0 camera into the old style camera bracket so no big deal. Control modules - BCM, latest the better, not much difference in price between them, headlight range control module again latest, gateway, and if I’m not mistaken the new steering wheel has some sort of control module. All of these plus fitting and coding (swap codes) the guys charged me about 4000€. Very Very important - it seems like all the control modules need to be brand new. Something to do with VW changing the rules in march 2022. Not sure what's that about but that’s what I’ve been told. Everything works perfectly. You need a few extra plastics like the wheel arches and another couple of plastics. (Number 11 both sides) from the picture posted.
  13. So it’s finally done. Unfortunately I had to get outta country to get it done as I couldn’t find any one competent to do it. Full facelift conversion including matrix headlights, tail lights and self driving options (traffic assist and travel assist) IMG_6094.MOV IMG_6095.MOV IMG_6093.MOV
  14. So I finally managed to find a serious company to do a facelift conversion on my 2016 superb. We included the tail lights and self driving feature (I think it’s called travel assist and traffic assist) IMG_6095.MOV IMG_6094.MOV IMG_6093.MOV
  15. Thanks a lot for the info bro, I really appreciate this. Yes, unfortunately I’ve got the standard A version of the xenon, but I don’t mind replacing the LCM as I had a feeling there’s gonna be some computers that I will have to replace, like the gateway as I’ve got the 5q0 one, might be unrelated, I don’t know and probably the BCM as well, so no problem with that. I’m just a little worried about the wiring and of course the coding.
  16. So I know about most hardware like bumper with everything in it and headlights plus the built in camera as the matrix headlights are working with the camera. Not sure what SLA headlights are but I presume it must be the adaptive headlights which I do have as I’ve got the se L executive version. What I was hopping is to find someone or a company in uk that is willing to do the coding and (if wiring is different) the wiring.
  17. Hi guys and girls, Most probably the subject was discussed in parts, before but I was wondering if anyone managed to do a facelift conversion on a pre facelift MK3 superb. I had a little accident and I gotta buy most of the front end so I was hopping to take advantage. What are your thoughts?
  18. thanks, definently lots to work with, will get to that probably when I get the parts, will be an interesting project
  19. The VC and MIB 2.5 was an upgrade by our friend in London. and he said if I needed the view button on the steering weel I need to upgrade the gateway as well. Don't really know about the BCM so I presume I might need to upgrade them. Where exactly do you connect the led strips in the doors and dash? is there a conection already there or you need to tap into some wiring?
  20. I gotta admit, that looks awesome, any way, acording to OBDeleven scan these are the part no for the BCM and Gateway. I'm a bit confused but I wouldn't mind upgrading both as it was sugested before by our friend in north London.
  21. yes is on alibaba, had my virtual cockpit retrofited by someone in London and even though he said the part is not coming from alibaba, I'm pretty sure he bought it from there, I'll send you the link. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33002585370.html?spm=a2g0o.detail.1000060.2.48b7654cMz2kPu&gps-id=pcDetailBottomMoreThisSeller&scm=1007.13339.169870.0&scm_id=1007.13339.169870.0&scm-url=1007.13339.169870.0&pvid=fde81050-fc18-461c-914b-0cd09bfb5263&_t=gps-id:pcDetailBottomMoreThisSeller,scm-url:1007.13339.169870.0,pvid:fde81050-fc18-461c-914b-0cd09bfb5263,tpp_buckets:668%230%23131923%2314_668%230%23131923%2314_668%23888%233325%231_668%23888%233325%231_668%232846%238109%231935_668%235811%2327190%2395_668%232717%237566%23887_668%231000022185%231000066059%230_668%233468%2315613%23425_668%232846%238109%231935_668%235811%2327190%2395_668%232717%237566%23887_668%233164%239976%23870_668%233468%2315613%23425
  22. `````````````````now when you say control;ler, are we talking about the BCM?`````````````````````````````````
  23. Hi guys, I did a bit of research on retrofitting original ambient lighting but not a lot of usefull info. I managed to source OEM plastic penels with the led strips online. Is there anything else that need to be replaced apart from the plastic penels? I know there's some coding involved (still looking for info about coding as well) can it be done with VCDS? THank you in advance
