  1. If you want to see whether options are worth the money. Check out the new owner's manual http://ws.skoda-auto...wnersManual.pdf I'm especially pleased I ordered the electric boot option on my combi !!!! *** Mod edit - For Workshop Manuals see #39 ***
  2. On the Combi yeah. Just reading through the manual now. God skoda are good at hiding things on their website. http://ws.skoda-auto...wnersManual.pdf
  3. Nothing special. The Exeo has dumped a lot of value over the year, so I'm in neg equity on the finance. The dealer is paying it off and taking the car off me. Which gave me no wiggle room on any discount. £500 towards the deposit and 3 yrs free servicing (which are the standard sweeteners at the mo.)
  4. After half the dealers I visited said they couldn't order one... I finally managed to find a dealer who did me a good deal and let me order one before June. In fact, just got the phone call today saying it's now on the system. On order for delivery mid August 2.0 CR TDI DPF Elegance Combi (manual) in Corrida red and black interior, with the following options; Bi-xenons LED rear lights Sunset Glass Columbus Canton Sound System Towbar prep Winter Pack (heated seats, heated windscreen, heated washers) Boot Net Program-me Electric Boot Door Sport Suspension
  5. I'm very disappointed with the Sales side, after calling into look at the build quality of the new Octavia with a view to ordering a 2.0 TDI Combi Elegence. I'd decided on some expensive options but the salesman was trying to talk me out of them ???? Then I had to correct him on some of the details about the car, which we confirmed when "we" looked at the brocure. Didn't seem at all interested about doing any form of a deal and wouldn't even look at any figures.
  6. Don't compare the new Columbus to the old one. After my disappointing trip to the dealers yesterday (long story), I can confirm the the old and new ones are very different devices. There is nothing behind the screen on the new headunits, it's setup very similar to the new Audis... in that everything is in little black boxes spread all over the car and talk over an "entertainment" data bus.
  7. Brill. Would seems the Manchester sale person I spoke to didn't have a clue then. He was adament that I could only order the hatchback.
  8. I'm guessing all these orders are for the hatchback models ? Any one know when you can order the estate ?
  9. Would is be comparable to say the Bose system found in B7 Audi A4s and Exeo Spot Techs ?
  10. Yup I'll be along in the Exeo. My other half is coming as well. She'll either be in her Octy or with me in the Exeo.
  11. Coding the immo is the only really big stopper. But people such as Ben at Shark Performance will be able to do this for you at a decent price.
  12. Ah yes, the PD one is just spring loaded
  13. Same make as on the car.... £26 from my local motor factor, and the alt pulley was £24. Both just done to SWMBO's Octy.
  14. Can't make any comment about price until the tyre size is known
  15. I would say it's a "procedure" issue when messing with the ABS. You'll need to hook up VCDS as Ken mentioned.
  16. To give you an example. Within the past few weeks we bought a 2004 (53plate) PD130 Elegence Hatch, with 97K miles on it in v good condition for the year/mileage with full main dealer service history for £2.7K Regards spec.... try this link; http://www.parkers.c....aspx?model=822 Regards with engine.... the 110 VE or the 130 PD are both good strong engines. The PD only came out very late in the Mk1 octy's life time and for the £4K you should be able to get a good one. The 110 is more frugal than the PD, but the PD is a better drive.
  17. Just looked at the Mki9200 and I think this is the way to go for SWMBO's car as well.
  18. I'm just bought a pair from TPS for SWMBO's Octy - £22 ish inc VAT for the two. The badges have self adhesive foam. Hair dryer to warm and loosen and a bit of thin wire down behind the badge to loosen it off. Part number is 1U0 853 621 C for front and back.
  19. We picked up a PD130 Elegence hatch very recently for £2.7K on 97K miles. Full main dealer history inc cambelt/pump. Also recently had a DMF + lots of over work over it's lifetime. However, I've spent £200 on parts which I'll be fitting this weekend to bring it right up to my standards; Aux belt tensioner Alternator pulley (very very common issue on PD130 at this mileage) New engine skid plate + fixings New engine side cover + fixings front and rear skoda badges Alloy hub centre caps New battery clamp + fixings (old one v corroded) Touch up paint Stick (one or two untreated stonechips) Paint/lacqur set (for spraying parking sensors when I fit them) New spare key (only got one)
  20. SOLD. New owner picked it up on Sunday morning
  21. The pop/thud could be a boost hose popping off. How's the performance of the car at the mo ?
  22. NDRs for all the emails sent. I'll zip them up and put them on my site
  23. You can do it via dialing in a few numbers. Like I said... PM me your email address and I'll forward over the instructions and firmware for both types.
