  1. Cool, If it ends with no bids on ebay, I'll have it off you for the starting amount out side of ebay to save you the fees.
  2. No joint account... I run the household accounts, pay bills and the other half just gives me x amount a month towards the bills. Money wise mines mine and her's is hers. However this is all because of me getting screwed over in my Divorce. So effectively Ellie is a lodger in the money sense or the word.
  3. Still for sale. Will consider offers from Brisky members
  4. I'm interested in this. Will watch and see how the auction goes.
  5. I had a L&K 1.8TSI Estate on order in 2009 and my build kept getting put back and back. The felly estate I was running as an interim car after selling my other A4 eventually died, and Harrogate Skoda offered me a car to borrow until mine was ready. However I had to insure the car and it was only a fabia, which wasn't really going to be big enough, plus there were milage restrictions put on it. I happened to come across my current A4 at Harrogate Audi and got a stonking deal on it. Ended up cancelling the Octy order with no penalty as it hadn't been built.
  6. I bought a 2000 (W) mk1 citroen Xsara 1.9D 5 door for the girlfriend as a commuter car to replace her petrol polo. However she doesn't want the citroen so have decided to sell. I picked it up with a few faults which have all been fixed (central locking wasn't working, indicator stalk needed replacing and a new boot was fitted). It's just had a full service and everything is working as expected. MOT'd till mid december 2011. It's running the bosch fuel pump so ideal for running on SVO / WVO / Biodiesel http://www.autotrade.../true?logcode=p
  7. For those complaining about the rear leg room. FYI The facelift exeo has had it increased by reworking the rear seats and the back of the front seats.
  8. But you'd get a much better petrol car for you money. For example; When I was looking for my A4 it was either going to be a 2.0TFSI q or a 3.0TDI q. I got my pristine 3yr old motor with only 16K miles on the clock for £3k less than a 3.0tdi with 55K on the clock in not as good condition. Harrogate Audi even said they'd have no problem selling the tdi and wouldn't budge on price yet would happily let me bid for the TFSI as they knew it would stay longer on the forcourt because of peoples "IMHO mostly silly" view that diesel is "ALWAYS" cheaper overall. I can get 35mpg out of mine on a run at legal motorway speeds and it's a hell of a lot more agile in the corners than the equiv powered/performance 3.0TDI. And this is like for like real world performance comparison... infact is anything the TFSI is quicker than the TDI.
  9. Yep they're shocking. I went out that way to go to the old simos scrappers on Sunday and they're so bad; someone has even stuck a traffic cone in one to help people avoid it.
  10. Just make sure you do the sums on purchase price vs MPG vs fuel savings. You may be quite suprised how long it will take you to start saving money the higher mpg diesel compared to purchasing a petrol car. http://www.parkers.c...sel-calculator/
  11. Ermmmm ...... None of what you've said in windows 7 fault ? It's the apps that your running ???
  12. Just so happened that in 2009 Spain's economy and SEAT's biggest market fell through it's behind.
  13. I have, and everything I see says you haven't. For example; http://www.articlesbase.com/classics-articles/record-seat-sales-4125441.html
  14. Who says it hasn't worked ? is that your opinion or fact ?
  15. ooooh Wow :dull::dull: I wonder where all this negative press if coming from about the Exeo. Every motoring journal I've read says it's one of SEATs stronger performing models. Audi actually have a strong tie in with SEAT (stronger than VW within the group), thats why they took all the A4 production tooling for the Exeo, to give SEAT a product in the D segment market without the big development costs.
  16. Thats because it is. They share the exact same chassis.
  17. How the heck can you class an A7 as a run of the mill Audi ? If you'd said diesel A3/A4 as run of the mill then I'd agree. But the A7 is being punted as the sportier inbetween of the A6/A8.
  18. What exact support will the private sector need from the public sector ? I see no basis for that argument.....
  19. Slight OT, but some would say the day of the marriage isn't significant. Its how the marriage goes for the next X years that matters. I had a stupidly expensive wedding (£25K plus, luckly paid for by ex-other halfs parents) and it just didn't matter as we're now divorced. My advice ? Marriage is for the two of you. Having loads of guests and spending lots of money on receptions etc is a waste. Just have close family and very close friends and enjoy the day for what it is. Save the money for the honeymoon, thats where your memories of a newly married couple will be strongest.
  20. It's entirely up to ColinD/JohnD. Last time ColinD asked for volunteers and he decided (not 100% if he spoke to other current mods) who he'd like on the team.
  21. This thread is the first I've heard of A5 reliability problems. The B8 platform motors (A4, A5, Q5, A4 Allroad) have been bullet proof throughout there life span.
