  1. Thought I'd offer this up to the Briskoda community before it goes on ebay; This was bought for use as a media centre PC, but with the arrival of the PS3 and Sky+ it's been powered off for the last 4 months so surplus to requirements Spec; Acer Aspire X3812 Dual Core Pentium E5300 (2.6Ghz) 3Gb Ram 500 Gb Seagate HDD DVD Multi recorder Intel Graphics with a HDMI port for direct connection to your TV Windows 7 Home premium edition Includes Acer keyboard and mouse Comes with a Videomate Vista E900F DVB-T Dual channel card installed with all the accessories. I've restored the machine to the factory default installation, The OS came pre-installed but with the option of making restore disks. This is what I've done and they are included with the documentation. Cosmetically the case etc are in very good condition. Although there are two marks on the left hand side of the case as seen in the pictures. On ebay, lesser spec models are going from £299 without a DVB-T card . I'm looking for £275 cash on collection or paypal gift payment plus postage costs.
  2. Nice one, well done. How did you find it. Was it fairly easy or did they try to catch you out on stuff ?
  3. I think the pricing it pretty good considering the spec level and the fact it's the full OTR price.
  4. looks like a gen-2 proton
  5. <Mod hat off> In all honesty the exact same could be said regarding you. You wouldn't last 2 seconds in my line of work let alone 30 with some of the comments you've typed. </Mod hat off>
  6. I did my CBT Saturday gone.... Just bought an 07 plate Yamaha YBR 125, getting all the kit (helmet, clothing etc) tomorrow and picking up the bike this Saturday !!! Looking forward to a bit of practice on the 125 then it's DAS for me.
  7. Come and join the ouisted corner of Briskoda
  8. I'm affraid it's a +1 for Aspman's comments. My other half is a secondary science teacher and what aspman has said is exactly what I'm seeing/hearing from her.
  9. I'm going through and getting my bike license at the mo (Direct access). It breaks down like this in order; 1. Provisional licence if you don't have a car licence 2. CBT - one day course, no exam but the instructor must be confortable with your skills to sign you off 2. Motorcycle Theory/hazard perception test (can be done before or after CBT) 3. MOD 1 - DSA test, not on public roads. More like an enhanced CBT 4. MOD 2 - DSA test, on road test... you followed by an examiner CBT allows you to ride any thing upto 125cc on L plates for a max of 2 yrs. But your not allowed on motorways.
  10. Won't be at Brands but will be religiously watching every round and quali. I'm a member of YRC and was at media day this year at silly stone (http://www.facebook.com/#!/album.php?aid=373665&id=646324166) I'll be doing the full hospitality package with AMD/YRC at croft (my local circuit) Really looking forward to seeing the new A4s out on track run by RAR as well.
  11. New NGTC rules. TOCA/Alan Gow want the cars to return to the old days of big saloons.... Anyway OT but my god I'm so looking forward to seeing this on the grid. Gonna be one hell of a good looking/ aggressive looking car.
  12. Now this is going to be one good looking Audi A4 when it's done...... (BTCC Entry for 2011)
  13. Ah but the figure used on the V5 is calculated using a set route for a set driving style for ALL cars. It's a constent. You're working your's out to your driving style. I'll guarentee not every V6 TDI will be putting out your avg mpg over the last few thousand miles....
  14. As always I'm keen on this. As being on the infrastructure side of this for my day job brings be in to touch with all sorts of weird and wonderful web dev output. If I can offer any help I will.
  15. Staying VAG or going outside the group ?
  16. Thats interesting the (some) comment. As you initial statement was that ALL people have been brainwashed.
  17. Don't confuse what you believe to be the what the general consensus is.
  18. How have we ? Have you been brain washed ? I certainly havn't. What you fail to know is that I have own'd Skodas, VWs, Audis, and even a SEAT. And funnily enough the majority have been either Skodas or Audis.... which are the extremes of the VAG group (discounting the hyper brands) So please explain to me what brainwashing has occure'd for my purchases ? You may ask I've been brain washed to only by VAG ? Well.. if I had the knowledge I have of VAG vehicles for other brands I'd probably buy my next car outside of the VAG group. But because I have the tools, software, and orig ELSWIN PDF factory manuals for most recent VAG cars... I'm going to stick with VAG. Now which bit marketing has brain washed me there ? I seem to see the above as a sensible choice in todays climate considering costs involved in running and maintaining a car when using tradesmen to fix issues rather than ones self.
