you remove backbox and replace with straight pipe usually with a tip on to make it look pretty. purpose - makes it sound nice and helps with weight lol

The wording confused me! haha title was boost gauge but then you said it wasnt about boost gauge it was about a vac gauge... it just lost me :p its late week and my brain is ready for a weekend.

mine was like this the flexi section of the pipe ^ had a split which was hard to see without the engine running and having a good fettle

Bit of a long shot on here but hoping someone may have a project or a friend who may be interested. I have dug these out of storage as they will never get used on any of my future cars and thought I may aswell see if anyone is interested. They are originally off my MK2 Golf GTi, I then had the lips professionally polished and purchased some genuine polished BBS centre caps. Since the polished lips I have not had them fitted with tyres or to any car so they are uncurbed etc. Vitals: ET35 6J 15" H2 They are grubby at the moment as they have been in a dirty garage but I will make sure they are cleaned ready for collection. This picture was taken before storage: (all in the same condition) This is a picture tonight after garage to prove they are my wheels Will clean and get better pictures up through the week. I made a bracket that attached to the vertical slats in the lower grill, so wouldn't be a great help to you I don't think.

Sorry for those on phone I'm located in Newcastle under Lyme near stoke on trent.

I have four standard vRS wheels in need of some TLC. All are straight and true with only light curbing and surface scratches (will need refurb unless running just for winter). The tyres are all different but have 1 - 2mm left on each with some "edging" to two of them caused by previous owners lowered Fabia. Will add pictures ASAP. £150 - I will consider swaps (not just wheels - try me)
