No mine's a Bluetooth dongle. I pair it to the phone first before starting Carista. I'll try turning the ignition on first then plugging it in to see if it'll work.

Bought the one you linked to. Tried it this evening, Carista says no, my OBD device is defective. This is the 4th one I've tried, now can't be bothered.

Washed the exterior for the first time in 3 months! Used Powermaxed TFR, Bilt Hamber Autofoam, Meguiars Gold Class Shampoo and finished off with Gyeon Wetcoat, GTechniq T1 on tyres and RainX on the windscreen.

Thanks for the replies. Looked at Recaro and trying to decide between the Young Sport Hero or the Monza Nova IS. It'll be going between 2 cars, my Monte estate with Isofix points, and SWMBO's Kia Picanto without Isofix points. What are your opinions on rear facing seats? Was talking to a parent we know today and they said they read somewhere that they should be rear facing for as long as possible?

Thinking about getting a new car seat for my 11 month old son as he's nearly outgrown his Mamas and Papas Zoom travel system (baby carrier using ISOFIX base). Problem is he's not quite at 9kg yet which seems to be the weight for the next level car seat, but length wise his legs are pushing against the seat, so wondering which car seat to go for. Anyone been in the same position? What car seats do/did you use for yours kids at this age?

Looking good, didn't know you could put the vRS front brakes on the Monte, may have to consider that in future! Regarding painting the drums, can you not do that with them still attached to the car? I was going to paint mine by putting the car on axle stands, remove as much rust as I can with a wire brush then paint them using a brush with some Hammerite.

Wondering if anyone else has had issues with their handbrake sticking during wet weather? Mine does when it's been raining, has done for a while but it's getting steadily worse. Should note that I've got drums on the back.

Coming up to the middle lane hogger in lane 1, I flash my lights, may get their attention and they may move over. If not, go into lane 2, flash lights behind them, possibly accompanied by a left indicator to give them a hint where to move to (appreciate this may confuse drivers behind me). If all else fails, just overtake them in lane 3. I used to be a staunch undertaker, but I don't do that any more just in case they decide to move into lane 1 while I'm undertaking. The way I see it, if they're not concentrating on which lane they're in, then they probably won't check their mirrors and blindspot properly.

Loads of people who can't be bothered to use indicators, or put their lights on when it's dark! Also, people who throw their fag ends out the window in front of my car, proper pet hate that one!

Yeah I thought an EPC was a requirement for every house up for sale now. Not looking forward to it though, with it being an old house. Thanks for all the replies so far. My one aim with selling the house is to get back at the very least what I paid for it, if not slightly more. Been in the house just under 4 years and looking at similar properties in the area, I'm hopeful to get back what I paid. Just needs a lick of paint I think then we'll get it valued.

I'm planning to move house next year. Currently live in an old mid-terrace house but plan to move into a newer house in the same area. I've not sold a house before (first time buyers when we bought our current house) so I'm just wondering if anyone has any tips or advice when it comes to selling a house, i.e. preparing the house for sale, valuations, dealing with estate agents, solicitors, buyers, etc.

I started off using a Sandisk card but I think it either kept getting corrupted or a firmware update broke it. They recommend using Kingston Class 4 in the manual so I just used that.

I've had problems like this with my Mobius before (don't have it fitted now, need to put it in SWMBO's car). Mine was quite fussy about the memory card I used. i used a 32GB Kingston Class 4 card, formatted in FAT32 I think. Seems to work OK.
