  1. I was expecting a stupid price from the dealers to be honest, Just got off the phone, £11.60 including the VAT. That's one less thing to have to worry about...on eBay there are a few starting at £5 or £5.99 PLUS postage...new ones start at least £20+ Thanks Tom, The dealers were going to be my last resort, but they have come up trumps again...
  2. Whilst having the Felly Mot'd, The tester discovered a hole in the expansion tank whilst testing the emissions (it got a tad warm and steam was escaping from the tank) I've just spent almost an hour on the phone to every breakers yard in North Wales trying to source one with no success... Is there any other tank that'll fit straight in with little or no modification? Or does anyone have one sat about that I can purchase?
  3. I've just checked the site via the link above...apparently, I've got one of only three 1289cc 1996 Felicia's left on the road... It would be interesting to find out if that were true... I know most felly's around here seem to be the 1600 variant...
  4. Well that was wierd. My TV just turned itself off and back on again. Nothing else flickered, so wasn't the mains supply. I can feel a new TV coming to a living room near me very soon... :( I like my old sony CRT tv though...

  5. Factoid (care of steve wright in the afternoon) 95% of people in the UK use teabags. Only 5% use a teapot and loose tea. Does that make me 100% addicted to tea then? I've got both...

  6. oooooooh.....job interview at 12 noon tomorrow. put the kettle on si, it's just up the road from you...lol

  7. Has anyone in the flintshire/north denbighshire area got an odd piece of scaffold pole lying around that they don't want/need?I need 4 x 2ft sections (or 2 x 4ft or 1 x 8ft...) can pick up tomorrow or monday...

  8. WTF? I thought it was the London olympics not the paris olympics? Why are all the annoucments in frence first? Have we really bent over and let the olympic committee stick it up our arses that much? I'm ******* disgusted with the lot of them...

So it's all his fault then is it.

  9. The lighting problem sounds like you might have a dodgy earth point, It would be worth checking every one of them and cleaning up any that have any sign of rust etc.
  10. I'm running a 1996 1.3glxi hatchback, (favorit in a felicia bodyshell really with the 136b engine) i'm regularly getting between 40mpg (around town) and 48mpg (at a steady 55-60mph on a 'run') No experiance with diesel, and a news feature the other day said most manufacturers quote silly mpg figures that in real life can't be attained, no matter how carefully you drive (one was quoted as claiming 75mpg, in reality it just about managed 51mpg)
  11. That neg is removable if you contact ebay CS... ...and some of your terms are 'non-enforcable' to say the least "contact within 2hrs" "feedback of less than 25" etc. a year ago i would of swopped you mine felly and a wodge of cash, but needs have changed... :(

  13. Can anyone give me a reason why i bother with ebay?Sold 3 items last weekend, got a neutral feedback for one as the buyer didn't bother reading the listing...and had to open 2 unpaid item disputes this morning...WTF is going on with ebay buyers?

  14. Clwyd alun housing association. What more can i say. Half a job as usual. They are suppling a bike shed after deciding that bike are banned from the building. It's being installed as i type this. It's the wrong shape for the base, The housing officer is supposed to have left some cash with me to pay for the hilti bolts to secure it to the base - she hasn't, so it's not getting secured. Usual highly efficient service from a ****-poor company who haven't got a clue what they are suppose...

  15. well, with the new backbox and a can of 'cat cleaner' dropped into an almost empty tank, the readings were absolutly spot on this afternoon, it flew through it's re-test with flying colours, so i'm a happy skoda owner once again. The garage owner couldn't believe it - a 16 year old skoda felicia, 57,700 miles on the clock (genuine - got every MOT since it's first in 1999) with an almost full tank of fuel!
  16. Just seen the weather forecast for north wales tonight... 2 to 4 inches of snow expected....LOL a week ago people were moaning because it was too warm...

  17. the backbox was actually detatched completly, but it hadn't got any louder... so i didn't know until it failed on thursday last week, today it went in had the jobs done and retested, but couldn't get a decent reading (said one level was twice as high as it should be...) I think he want's to throw some 'cat cleaner' in but with having a full tank, it would of diluted it too much to show any improvement, so i'm draining the tank tomorrow and putting 5 litres back in and trying again (he's not charging for a re-test or the re-re-test - it's only failing on the emmissions now...) I can get a new cat for under £44 via ebay in needed, haven't priced a sensor yet...
  18. june 2000 to present day

  19. Just spent £140 on getting the back box, a wheel bearing, cv boot and a brakeline replaced for the mot, they couldn't test the immissions because of the damaged exhaust...it's not passed due to a high reading on the immissions but he didn't actually say which one... I've been asked to drain the fuel out of it (leaving about 5/10 litres so he can add something to the fuel -i'm thinking stp) If it doesn't pass, it's looking like a new cat or lambda sensor i'm thinking (after reading a few threads on here) Anyone know where i can get a cheap or secondhand one? I've maxed out my credit card paying for the work and MOT so money is tight... Any help or advice welcome... The car is a 1.3GLXi, 1996 (N)
  20. wish mine was as shiny as that. I'm driving a 1996 felly in exactly the same colour around north wales. It came with every MOT from new, and only 53,000 miles too... I keep forgetting to lock it at night, but even my best mate keeps saying "don't worry, no-ones gonna steal 'that'" cheeky sod. I named it 'the little green snot machine' :p
  21. Had computer trouble, lost all my links, passwords etc. Checked the forum the other day, and realised i could log in using facebook. So here i am.
  22. I've just in the last week, replaced my battery. £35.99 from tanya batteries in Abergele, N.Wales. http://www.tayna.co.uk/ (they deliver too via courier) The 063 battery is the correct size, mine actually had a 075 fitted but it was needing a jump start after a few days sitting outside my home, so i shopped around and got one for the above price with a 2 or 3 year warrenty... Very easy job to change, 10mm spanner to disconnect the terminals and a 13mm socket to undo the clamp. Undo everything, you then need to lift and turn the battery 90 degrees anti clockwise before lifting out over the brake servo. Putting the new battery in is simple, just read the above from the last stage, to the first... DON'T FORGET TO FIND THE CODE FOR YOUR STEREO IF IT HAS ONE!
