Thanks guys every sign counts just hope the US coastguard takes notice and goes out again this has hit hard with the closeness to my own job and all from my own area so just trying to help anyway I can.

As a lot of you may have heard we lost a uk crewed yacht on its return to the Uk on Saturday but unfortunately the USCG have called off the search. But the belief is that the crew with training and experience have boarded a life raft and could still be alive so could everyone take one minute to sign this petition to hopefully sway the United States coast guard to resume the search and bring back our guys. http://www.change.org/en-GB/petitions/u-s-coastguard-restart-the-search-for-the-missing-cheekirafiki-crew-dontstopsearching Cheeki Rafiki, a sailing yacht from Southampton, was returning home to the UK with a crew of four, following a successful race in the Caribean. The experienced crew believed that the situation was stable but amended their course to head for the group of islands, Azores. On Friday morning the yacht training and charter firm Stormforce Coaching lost all contact with them. The US Coast Guard has done a fantastic job searching for the crew, but we are asking that they just give them a bit more time. It is reported that two consecutive signals were picked up from personal beacons indicating that they had made it to the life raft. They deserve a chance to be found, please help by signing this petition to ask the US Coastguard to please search again. I sailed with Andy on Cheeki Rafiki last summer during the Fastnet 2013 race. Andy is an amazing guy and showed such genuine care for me and all his crew mates, that we all consider him a close friend and desperately want him to be found. L

After the recent incident with a car hitting our yeti on the motorway (story to follow soon) although was not our fault. It did highlight the blame culture and increasing possibilities for crash for cash incidents and also peace of mind. So I have just got a roadhawk camera for a cheap price off ebay and would like to hard wire it in. What I don't want is it to be on permanently I just want it to come on with the ignition. Because this camera starts to record as soon as power is supplied otherwise I would never remember to switch it on. So does anyone know of a circuit that is only lev with ignition turned on and if so is it a easy Mod/fit to do or more of a professional fitment. I would use the 12v socket but this stays live while the car is switched off which is not great. Thanks....

Just about to hit the 3yr/60,000 point on the yeti and warranty expiration. Has anyone opted for a skoda extended warranty or gone the private sector route and how much did it cost you. Just trying to evaluate my options Thanks Ross....

Has anyone opted for the extended warranty on there car once the 3yrs/60,000 miles warranty is up As my local dealer is quoting me 500-600 for 12 months. So sounds very expensive to me so may go to external warranty suppliers Does the above price sound about right or are people being quoted other prices. As It looks like I'm going to hit 60,000 before the three year mark.

Driving down one of the new forest lanes today and saw what I first thought was a fabia coming towards me but as it passed I saw that it was a yeti facelift. And I have to say coming from directly in front of you in the rain the new yetijust looks like a fabia/rapide from the front just a little taller. I was going down hill and the new yeti was climbing the hill so it did not look very tall from the direction it was coming from also it was a city yeti so very normal car looking from the the front. I'm really dissapointed now that round fogs have gone from seeing it in real life I really miss them does not look like a yeti now.

Way noisier than our summer tyres but the grip is like night and day recently been getting a lot of wheel spin with heavy acceleration but had to get away quick today at roundabout put my foot down on the new tyres today and the car took off Like a rocket and gripped like **** to a blanket round the roundabout as well Should be good in the wet as well looking at the amount of blocks in tyres

Ok cool thanks I can be armed with that information when I'm out searching over the winter have had to put the tyres on my current alloys for the time being as I have been unable to find any wheels to put them on. But hopefully it will get cold soon and the tyres will come in to there own as there just an a expensive noise maker at the moment as they are a lot louder than the summer tyres. But went with the Nokian WRD3 as they seem to be coming out on top in the tyre tests and are good on fuel (hopefully)

Been trying to look for steel wheels that would match the yeti in bolt pattern for my winter tyres. But have been told by my local scrappy that the only matching car with the same bolt pattern is the latest passat. Just wondering if this is true or do they match other makes, models As I don't want to have to spend a fortune on some new steel wheels I would rather buy second hand ones or used alloys. Thanks....

Well thank you Gnomeface I have just had the biggest laugh all week with your absolute load b**locks story The police forces around the uk all use Skoda,Bmw,jaguar,mercedes, which all have turning fog lights activated as I have seen countless of these cars using them and your trying to say to me that they are not aware of the system is total rubbish. And now that ford have also started making cars with turning fogs even the panda cars have them now.

I have a Columbus and it is the perfect option for me does what it says on the tin it gets us to our destination. And seeing as I have the Bluetooth installed as well I have voice control so I just chat to my satnav and input the general destination (although you cannot enter postcodes through voice control) of where I'm going which can be easily done while driving along perfectly LEGALLY.

My offical skoda tow bar kit I got and fitted to my yeti had the plug and play 13 pin electrics on it but I just use a convertor to downgrade to 7 pin so it works with my trailers.

Mine does this but still has the beeps so I can use them until I have ops

I use this site for my Columbus updates as they also give the option to have speed camera Poi as well <link to illegal download site removed> I have the latest maps in my Columbus 7920 which has the cameras 7918 is the latest update from the dealers it just doesn't have cameras on it The thing with the map updates is that its not a firmware update so is not going to brick your Columbus and is easy to do the only hard part Is burning it to the DVD properly.

The sales that will result from that program will be enormous the car company's would be more than happy to give some cars over to the top gear team. My local dealer says that he gets people come into the showroom to look at skodas and when they notice the yeti's they nearly all recognise them because of the top gear piece on them with Jeremy. And I'm sure they would of sold countless yetis off top gears program

I thought it was bloody hilarious and it does what it's suppose to and entertain you if anyone actually takes that seriously your severely disillusioned. And If I was paid to smash up caravans and rag the hell out of new cars without any consequences I'm sure I'd do the same thing like a big kid with a huge smile on my face.

The cigarette lighter/12v plug has just got a plastic plug now instead of a actual lighter

Yep your right there my car has done 38000 miles and no creaks,rattles,squeaks,bongs,bings,thuds,bumps,croaks,groans,moans or anything else for that matter at all.I'm guessing your car was the Friday afternoon job and knock car so was maybe overlooked on the creak,rattle and roll check but hey ho its all pot luck at the end of the day.

And a diesel test at the end of the it may improve but Im happy with bog standard diesel over more expensive stuff
